Chapter 7 Contraceptive Measures?

Earlier, when Felicia went to the cafe to meet Mack, she happened to run into Beth at the door.

Beth must have been curious about who she was meeting and waited at the entrance to watch them.

"This is a long story." Felicia wondered how to describe her connection with Mack

*What's the relationship? *

Is *she's Mack *McKenzie’s *hook-up friend? *

While Felicia was confused, Beth immediately understood.

"I won't force you to talk if you don't want to, but remember to take precautions."

Felicia Dodson was puzzled, "Precautions? What precautions?"

Beth angrily tapped her head, "Stupid, contraceptive precautions!"

Felicia, holding her now sore head, replied, "No no no no. You have it all wrong. I just signed a beverage distribution contract with Mack. Why do I need contraceptive measures?"

"You just now mentioned the distribution contract, so I guess you don't have to do anything about contraceptive. Are you receiving a high commission? I’m confused, so you say you are not involved with Mack McKenzie, in that sort of way, and yet he can provide you with such nice convenience?"

Felicia remained silent, knowing that she indeed had that kind of relationship, with someone.

However, the person involved was Darrin’s uncle, and she didn't know how to bring that up to Beth, fearing that she would be misunderstood as a promiscuous woman.

Little did she know; this beautiful misunderstanding was going to continue...

Upon learning that Felicia had just broken up, Beth was worried that she wouldn't have an appetite and wouldn't feel good being alone. Therefore, she spared no expense and made a reservation at Felicia’s favorite restaurant, planning to take her there after work.

"Do you have a reservation?"

Before entering the restaurant, the waiter stopped them.

This restaurant had excellent food, so it was always crowded, with very prominent people from New Port frequently dining there.

"Yes, I made a reservation in advance."

Just as Beth finished speaking and the waiter was about to let them in, a female voice sounded.

"Why are they letting in anyone and everyone? Be careful, they won't be able to pay a single penny after eating."

Felicia and Beth turned around and saw Lakisha Howell enteri the restaurant, with her servants.

"Miss Lakisha!"

The previously indifferent waiter immediately put on a warm smile upon seeing Lakisha.

Even the manager who was serving in the lobby hurried over.

Lakisha’s figure was very recognizable, and it was impossible to not recognize her as the ‘chubby Miss Tang’

"Oh, Lakisha, haven't seen you in so long. Your plumpness has truly grown day by day. I almost didn't recognize you earlier."

Upon learning that Lakisha had stolen Felicia’s lover, Beth had been thinking about ways to get back at her, for Felicia.

“Lakisha actively provokes people, so don't blame if she uses her words to go in for the kill!” Felicia quietly told Beth.

Lakisha Howell ground her teeth: "I've lost 5 pounds recently!"

"You know about losing weight? You don't need to worry about losing weight. It’s not that you’re fat, it’s also that you're ugly."

Beth hit Lakisha’s weak spot, but Lakisha also knew she couldn't win an argument with her, so she turned to the manager.

"This kind of vile woman is not worthy of dining with me. Kick them out!"

The manager then said to Felicia and Beth, "Ladies, our restaurant does not welcome people like you who have no manners. Please find somewhere else to eat."

Lakisha often eats at their restaurant, she is a big customer of theirs, and they really can't afford to offend her.

Felicia was also annoyed, "You saw it just now too! She was the one who used derogatory terms to describe me and my friend, so how did we become the ones with no manners?"

"There will be no further discussion. If you don't leave now, you will be blacklisted by our group. In the future, you won't be able to enter any of our group's restaurants."

The manager was a sly old fox, he knew that morals and principles were important, but he always prioritized his own interests first.

Beth immediately felt discouraged.

She took Felicia out for a meal to make her happy, but it ended up causing trouble instead.

Lakisha saw the manager's actions and became even more arrogant in mocking them.

"Two poor and powerless bitches, how dare you challenge me?" Lakisha quipped as she spit in their direction.

Beth was so angry that she exploded on the spot, "Right, you can't do anything except eat meals."

Insulted again!

She couldn't swallow her anger, but she knew that arguing definitely wasn't a match for these two fighter jets. She immediately turned to the manager, "What are you still standing there for? Throw them out!"

The manager immediately instructed the waiter to escort them to their cars.

The waiters knew that Lakisha intended to teach Felicia and Beth a lesson.

This cause them to act rude, dragging and pulling Felicia and Beth towards the restaurant door.

In the pushing and shoving, Felicia twisted her ankle and almost fell backward, only to be caught in the arms of a man.

That person had a faint aftershave mixed with the smell of tobacco, familiar enough to make her heart tremble.
