003. Audrey Kidnapped
"I will explain later, but right now we have to run away from the security guards. We don't know what they'll do to you later. Hurry up..."
The man's eyes flashed sharply in all directions.
Hearing this, Audrey panicked even more. The man immediately helped her up. Without thinking, they immediately ran away. They looked for a safe place to hide so they could fool the security guards.
During their escape, she still couldn't see her rescuer. His mask covered his entire face, and he seemed sincere.
After they ran ten feet away from the guards, the man immediately pulled Audrey to hide in a large barrel across the street to cover their bodies from being seen by the guards chasing them.
"I think they only ran a few feet. How could they disappear so fast?" one guard gasped at how far they had run. His eyes circled the area slightly.
"Looks like they took off in a vehicle. There's no way they could have escaped our pursuit that fast if they were just running," another guard said.
"Yeah, that's true."
Some of the guards were still talking. They looked around but could not find Audrey and the mysterious man who had helped her escape.
"Well, we better split up. If anyone finds the girl, bring her to the guard post immediately."
"Ready..."
The four guards finally started running in the opposite direction. When they saw that it was getting quiet, the men immediately took Audrey out of her hiding place. Audrey, seeing that the area was safe, decided to follow the man in front of her.
"They're gone, right?" Audrey looked left and right to make sure.
"Yes, they're gone, you're safe now."
"Thank God." Audrey breathed a sigh of relief as she slowly stroked her chest, though she still looked scared.
"You should come home with me. It's not safe for you to be here alone. You don't have a place to stay either."
"I have a place to stay. I live in a rented house, so I'd better go back to the rent."
"I'll drop you off. Let's go home quickly," the man offered again.
"I don't think that's necessary, I can take the bus myself."
"Why won't you accept my offer?" the man asked. His tone was raised.
"It's not that I don't want to, it's just that I don't want to inconvenience you. Thanks for helping me get out of there." Just as Audrey was about to turn around, she suddenly remembered something that was bothering her. "Sorry in advance, I have to ask you something. Do you know my name, Audrey? I feel like we just met, even though I haven't introduced myself."
"Oh, I'm just guessing," he replied nonchalantly. But that made Audrey even more suspicious and confused. Immediately a bad feeling came over Audrey. Several things suddenly occurred to her.
This man was very suspicious.
"Well, why wait so long, you better come with me. My car will get there faster," the man asked again, making Audrey feel a little uncomfortable.
"Where is your car?" Audrey looked here and there looking for the whereabouts of the car the man said.
"It's over there." The man pointed to a black car with no license plates parked at the side of a lonely and poorly lit road.
"How about walking home with me?" the man asked, taking Audrey's hand and pulling her toward the black car.
"Let go!" Audrey, taken aback by the man's insolence, reflexively threw the man's hand away violently until she was met with a sharp stare like a deadly dagger.
Audrey was startled to see the sudden change in the man's face. Since she was alone with the man in front of her, Audrey tried to back up slowly to avoid the man who looked very strange in her eyes.
"Where are you going, Audrey?" the man asked with a strange grin.
Audrey took a bigger step back, which didn't go unnoticed by the man. He also took a step closer to Audrey so that she couldn't run away from him.
Aside from the satpan post, she now had to deal with criminals who had no clear purpose. Would she be raped? Kidnapped?
"Guys, arrest this woman!"
Audrey was stunned to hear the call coming from the mouth of the stranger in front of her. Several people dressed in black with masks on their faces got out of the car. Their eyes were fierce.
The frail woman, who had no time to run, was grabbed by the strong arm of one of the men and was about to be pulled into the car after them.
"Let go!" Audrey rebelled, trying to hold on to her body.
Running out of strength, Audrey tried to use what strength she had left to fight one of the men. Audrey kicked the man next to her in the vital organs with all her strength.
"Aww!" The man felt a mixture of pain and soreness that caused him to fall to the ground, unable to withstand Audrey's kick.
As a man, he mixed anger, annoyance, and embarrassment. He stood again and repeated
"You sick woman!"
Seeing his friend fall to the ground, the man next to Audrey tried to slap him, but he quickly dodged.
But then she was surprised by a man who, angry at her behavior, picked up a wooden block and hit Audrey on the back of the head.
Her ears rang loudly as the block hit her head. Audrey's vision became blurred. Her legs weakened, and within minutes Audrey collapsed to the floor.
"Get this girl in the car!"
"Yes, boss."
Audrey's body was dragged away mercilessly. She was placed in the middle of the car. But as she was about to get into the car, a flash of light from the car behind her blinded her captors.
She only had time to catch her breath before her body was thrown from the car. She lifted her heavy head to see who else had saved her this time.
