004. At William's House
Audrey rubbed her head after waking from a long nap. She blinked and looked around. The large room with the breathtaking decoration made Audrey a little astonished. The room was very impressive, like a queen's chamber.
"Am I here in heaven? Why do I have such a comfortable bed? If I were really in heaven, I wouldn't feel this pain in my head. "Where exactly am I?"
At the same time Audrey was wondering strange things, the large door on the other side opened to reveal a well-dressed man in an office suit. His attractive face, glasses and impressive physique left Audrey speechless and she could not stop staring at him.
"Oh my God, it feels like a dream to be able to enter your beautiful abode and meet a prince as handsome as you," Audrey whispered as she gazed at the man who approached her with a broad smile.
Seeing Audrey awake and smiling at him, the handsome bespectacled man sat down beside her.
"How are you feeling? Did the doctor give you some strange medicine that made you smile so much?
"Am I going to heaven? Audrey asked a strange question that made the man pause: "What have I done to deserve God's kind gift of a handsome prince to spend my days in heaven?"
"It seems that this girl was hit so hard that she thought she was dead," he whispered so quietly that Audrey couldn't hear him.
"You are still alive. The person responsible for taking your life is on vacation today and too lazy to get out."
Audrey held her head up after waking from a long sleep. Her eyes blinked and she looked around. The large room with a very beautiful interior made Audrey a little incredulous at what she saw. The room was as magnificent as the room of a king's empress.
"Am I in heaven now? Why did they give me such a beautiful bed? But if I am in heaven, then I shouldn't feel such pain in my head. Where am I really?"
At the same time that Audrey was asking herself these strange questions, the magnificent door on the other side suddenly opened, revealing a very neat man dressed in office clothes. His handsome face, glasses and dashing body left Audrey speechless and unable to take her eyes off him.
"Oh my God, what a dream that I can enter your beautiful heaven and get such a handsome prince of heaven," Audrey murmured as she continued to stare at the man who walked toward her with a broad smile.
The dashing, bespectacled man immediately sat down beside Audrey when he saw her awake and smiling at him.
"How are you feeling? Did the doctor give you some strange medicine that makes you smile like crazy?"
"Am I going to heaven? But what good did I do that God was kind enough to give me a handsome prince to spend my days in heaven?" the strange question came out of Audrey's mouth and made the man pause.
"Looks like this girl got hit so hard she thought she was dead," he murmured so quietly that Audrey couldn't hear him.
"You're still alive, the life taker is on vacation today, so he's too lazy to get out here and there."
"Huh, really? It's a holiday, right, the immortal doesn't get tired. What the hell, that's ridiculous," Audrey said.
"Whether you want to believe it or not is up to you. What is certain is that she is still healthy, just a little wound. I brought her some porridge so her stomach won't be empty."
Audrey was silent again, trying to digest the words of the man in front of her. She remembered what had happened before, after replaying the events in her mind, Audrey immediately widened her eyes and looked sharply at the man with the glasses.
Suddenly, her eyes widened. The pieces of memory had come together again.
"You're the CEO who stopped me at the security post this morning? Aren't you part of the same gang as those masked men who wanted to hurt me on purpose?"
"Why, it's not profitable for me. Who are you that I should do that?"
The man held out his hand, which Audrey just stared at sarcastically.
"I am William Permana, you may call me William. I misunderstood you before, Rasya told me everything. Thank you for helping Rasya, if it wasn't for you, I might not see my only son again. I've made some porridge for you, don't remove the IV. Later, when the IV runs out, it will be replaced by my personal doctor until you are fully recovered. William explained.
"Thank you for the oatmeal, but I'm still confused. I remember being out there and being attacked by those freaks, but when I woke up I was here. What exactly happened?"
"Yes, that was it, luckily I came in time, but before I went to the security post to see you and interrogate you, I accidentally met a suspicious mysterious guy."
"Mysterious guy?"
William began to tell me that he accidentally bumped into a man while getting into the elevator.
The man was a bit suspicious. He was wearing jeans, a plaid shirt, and a black mask over his face. His movements looked so strange, but William ignored him because he didn't recognize the man.
As the elevator went up, the man's cell phone suddenly rang. In the silence of the elevator, it was obviously very annoying, and William played it to relieve his boredom.
Then William overheard something he shouldn't have. The man was on the phone talking to someone about Audrey's kidnapping plan.
At first William didn't pay much attention because the girl was a human being and he didn't want to add to the problem, but when the security guard came into his office in a state of panic, William realized what was really going on.
"The guard reported that I ran away?"
"No, the guard reported that my son and I were locked in the office."
A diversion. The gang was distracting the guard so they could kidnap Audrey. Of course, William immediately mobilized the guards to help Audrey.
"So that's the story." Audrey said. She was thoughtful for a moment. She thought about all the events that had happened to her.
"I am sorry, I should have done that to my son's helper. Then I will apologize, if there is anything you can call me. By the way, give me your cell phone."
Audrey did not know what the handsome man was going to do in front of her, but she handed over her cell phone without question. William fiddled with the phone for a while and then handed the flat object back to its owner.
"It's got my cell number on it, you can call me anytime."
"All right, thanks."
"You're welcome, I'm going out first. Uh, just a minute. Does your dad have a business?"
Audrey gasped in surprise at William's strange, out of the blue question.
"M-meaning you, Mr. William? My father's business?"
"Well, I don't know. I don't know for sure. The man in the elevator said they wanted to take over your father's company."
Audrey didn't answer, she just gave a little nod that William could barely see.
"I don't know who these people are, but I hope I don't meet them again."
That was all she could say to Willian's question. Which led to an impression full of follow-up questions from William.
But Audrey was already very hungry. She took the bowl of porridge William had given her earlier. One by one, she shoveled the mushy food into her mouth. It gave her weakened body energy.
While she was enjoying her meal, Audrey's cell phone suddenly rang. The girl stopped eating and picked up her cell phone, which was lying next to the bedside table.
"Hello Mom, what's wrong?"
Audrey's eyes glazed over for the umpteenth time after hearing her mother's message.
