Chapter 1 One-Night Stand

On a sultry summer night, in a lavish VIP presidential suite of a high-end hotel in New Future City, Violet Devereux lay on the massive bed, feeling unbearably hot.

Her mind was hazy, her face flushed with desire, ensnared by the man's expert teasing.

What was happening?

She couldn't comprehend the situation. Driven by instinct, she clung to the man's waist to seek more.

He lowered his head to kiss her crimson lips and parted her tender thighs, his fingers lingering between them.

"So sensitive?" he chuckled softly. "Such a slender waist."

Violet let out a muffled moan. The man gripped her delicate waist and thrust forward.

An indescribable mix of pain and pleasure washed over her, leaving her eyes half-closed in a daze. Shameful sounds spilled from her red lips.

The night was a blur of wild passion.

The next morning, the beautiful girl awoke with a pounding headache.

Violet struggled to open her eyes and sat up, only to be stunned by the scene before her.

The bed was a mess, the room filled with signs of intimacy, and their clothes scattered around.

Violet's heart raced as she turned to the side of the bed.

There, amidst the chaos, lay Brady Hall, the most eligible bachelor in New Future City who she had secretly admired for so long.

He was still asleep with his eyes closed.

His muscular torso was bare, with not a stitch of clothing in sight.

Violet's headache intensified.

Had she and Brady really had sex last night?

She forced herself to recall the events of the previous evening.

She had gone to find her stepmother, but then...

Her foggy memory produced a few inappropriate fragments.

Yes, she and Brady had been intimate.

And it must have been her stepmother who drugged her!

No one else would use such a despicable method against her!

Panicking, Violet tried to get up.

Who was Brady? The heir of the most prestigious family in New Future City, pursued by all the socialites in the city.

And Brady despised unfamiliar women approaching him.

The consequences of angering him would be severe!

If Brady woke up and saw this, Violet knew she couldn't explain it away.

She had secretly admired him for so long, and she didn't want him to hate her.

Terrified, Violet hurried to get out of bed, but suddenly, a large hand grabbed her slender waist, and she was pulled under Brady.

"Violet, how dare you drug me?" Brady's voice was cold and commanding.

Violet snapped awake and shook her head vigorously, "It wasn't me! I didn't do it!"

"Didn't do it? Then why are you in my bed?" Brady detested such underhanded tactics. He gripped her slender arm so tightly it felt like he might break her bones.

"It really wasn't me. Let go! It hurts!" Violet winced in pain, her eyes reddening.

Brady didn't want to hear her excuses. He just categorized her as another unscrupulous woman who drugged him. He released her roughly and pushed her away. Then he stood up, naked, and began to dress. "Don't ever show up in front of me again! If you dare, I won't let you get away with it."

Brady dressed angrily.

Just then, Violet's stepsister Lilian Devereux burst in, furious at the scene.

Lilian had thought drugging them would only create the illusion of a scandal.

How could they have actually slept together?

She seethed with jealousy at the thought of Violet and Brady being intimate.

But she quickly composed herself and covered her mouth, feigning shock, "Violet, how could you... Yesterday you told me you wanted to marry Oliver. How could you drug Mr. Hall?"

Oliver Miller was the man the Devereux family had forced Violet to marry.

She hadn't agreed, and now Lilian was twisting the truth!

"I didn't! You're lying!" Violet's anger surged as she listened to Lilian's blatant lies.

Brady, already fed up, left without looking back.

Lilian quickly followed, trying to curry favor with him.

Once they were gone, Violet stood in the empty suite, tears streaming down her face.

Brady must hate her now.

She had secretly admired him for so many years, yet he now misunderstood her completely.

It took a while for Violet to collect herself. She left the suite and walked out to the deserted street, intending to hail a cab home.

But as she stepped outside, she saw her family and Brady in the hotel's parking lot.

Her stepmother Pelinka Devereux was speaking to Brady incessantly.

Violet had been set up!

They wanted to ruin her and make Brady think she was a promiscuous woman.

Violet walked over, and her grandmother, Pelinka Devereux, slapped her hard across the face without a word.

Blood trickled from Violet's mouth.

"Little brat, how dare you drug Mr. Hall! Do you want to die? And what about the Miller family? Shame on you! From now on, you're no longer part of the Devereux family!"

Lilian's lips curled into a smug smile.

"I didn't drug anyone!" Violet covered her stinging cheek, angrily refuting, "Eileen framed me!"

Violet's stepmother, Eileen Devereux, feigned innocence and started crying, "Mr. Hall, Violet is lying! She once asked me where she could buy aphrodisiacs. I didn't know what she was planning, so I told her. I didn't expect she would use it to seduce you. Please don't be angry. She likes Oliver but also wants to marry into your prestigious family, so she chose this outrageous method. Please forgive her!"

"Enough! Our family can't tolerate someone so shameless and lowly!" Pelinka said furiously, "Violet, you're no longer part of the Devereux family! Don't disgrace us any further!"

Surrounding bystanders cast strange looks at Violet, making her feel unbearably uncomfortable.

She wanted to explain, but no one seemed to believe her. How did it come to this?

Her eyes welled up with tears, her heart aching.

Brady, irritated by the drama, cast a cold glance at Violet. "Violet, do you have anything else to say?"
