In between

I was shocked to hear a man's voice. It was as if my soul was separated for a moment because of the nervousness. But it was replaced by a thrill when I recognized that voice. Even though I couldn't see his face because it was dark, I answered immediately.

"S—Sir William? Is that you?" I stammered.

"What are you doing here at this hour? Do you intend to rob us?" he asked.

"No, Sir. You're thinking wrong," I answered, confused.

"I am very thirsty. There is no drinkable water in my room," I explained.

He approached me, and that's when I saw the beauty of his face. I couldn't help but stare at his perfect face. I was amazed at its perfection.

I was stunned for a moment when we looked at each other. I couldn't help but be fascinated by his look. Even though he was frowning, it didn't diminish the beauty of his face.

"Don't you know that it is forbidden to come down here at night?!" he asked with a frown.

I need help answering his question. I just bowed down and apologized to him.

"I'm sorry, sir. I'm just thirsty, so I'm looking for water to drink," I apologized to him.

Why is that? Why is he still handsome even when he's angry?

"Look how idiot you are!" he told me firmly.

"Sir, I'm just a human too thirsty," I insisted.

"It's not my problem anymore. It would be best to obey the rule, or you will be punished!" he said arrogantly.

I was very hurt by the way he treated me. I didn't think he was this arrogant. My admiration for him when I first saw him was replaced by disgust.

I just bowed down and apologized to him. I know I have nothing against him because my father owes his father a lot. I couldn't help but follow him as he went up the stairs.

"It's a shame that you're handsome if you're so rude and arrogant," I said and sighed.

"What did you say?" he asked me with a frown.

I was surprised when he spoke. My words were soft as a whisper. But why did he hear it?

"N---Nothing, Sir. I said it wouldn't happen again," I tried to smile at him.

"I'll give you another chance. Go on and drink water now. ," he said seriously before continuing to walk up the stairs.

I smiled at what he said, and my heart was becoming fragile again to be thrilled by what I heard from him.

"Thank you so much, Sir," I thanked him with a smile.

"His heart will also soften," I said, smiling.

The next day I woke up early and got up. I made my bed and looked out the window to get some air.

I looked at my phone and couldn't stand it anymore, so I called my father. I miss him so much, but he doesn't answer my calls. Someone suddenly knocked on the door, so I stopped and opened it.

Lydia's smiling face appeared in front of me. I forced myself to smile at her.

"Good morning, Amarah. Alpha Conrad is summoning you," he said with a smile.

"Good morning too. I'll go down now," I replied.

When I descended the stairs, I saw Sir Conrad sitting on the sofa reading a newspaper.

"Get dressed because we are going somewhere," he said.

"Where are we going, Sir?" I asked him curiously.

"Just follow what I said," he answered frugally.

I bowed in front of him and quickly returned to my room. I opened my suitcase to look for something to wear.

I chose to wear Square pants and a simple white blouse. I adjusted myself in the mirror momentarily and immediately went down the stairs. I was afraid to wait long for Sir Conrad because he might get angry.

"Sir," I said with a smile.

"Nice!"

Sir Conrad smiled at me and immediately stood up. He walked out of the mansion, and I followed him.

He immediately got into the car, and I stopped momentarily when I saw Zeus approaching me. This man stared at me so closely, and I avoided his eyes.

"Good morning, Amarah. How's your sleep?" he asked with a smile.

"Good," I answered sparingly.

"It would be better if you were with me. We will explore the heaven," he said with a smile.

"Amarah, get inside the car now," Sir Conrad ordered.

I quickly got into the car and apologized to Sir Conrad.

I saw him shaking his head, and I just held my breath. I didn't say anything until I realized I fell asleep during the trip.

"Amarah, wake up!"

I woke up and quickly got out of the car. I fixed my hair and followed him inside the Mall.

"What are we doing here, Sir Conrad?" I asked him.

But I didn't hear any answer from him. I didn't say anything while still following him.

"What are we going to do here? Will he go shopping?" I asked myself.

We entered a Salon, and a gay man greeted us. The white complexion and long blonde hair. This gay man is gorgeous, and the only thing missing is his breast to look like a woman.

But wait, what are we doing here?

"Sir, you have a pretty daughter. How can I help you?" the gay asked with a smile.

"Make her perfect!" replied Sir Conrad.

"She's already perfect, but let me handle her, "the gay smiled.

I was stunned by his words and wondered how I could be perfect. What he says is unlikely, and why is he doing this to me? I thought I was the payment for my father's debt. I thought I would be miserable in his hands. But why does he consider me a princess?

I had no choice but to follow everything he wanted, so I went inside and let the gay man do what he wanted to do with me. He cut my hair and made the ends of my hair curly. I closed my eyes to relax until the makeover done on me was finished.

I stared in front of the mirror and was amazed at the change in my appearance.

"What can you say?" the gay asked with a smile.

"Wow, I'm so speechless. Is it me?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yes, you are. You are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen," he praised.

"You're hitting on me, Sister," I said to her with a smile.

"Seriously, any gay man will become a man when he sees you," he replied.

"Oh, do you mean you already have a crush on me?" I joked.

"Maybe, but I'm still into boys; what are you!" he said with a smile.

"I'm just kidding,Sister!"I smiled at him.

"You are funny, beautiful!" he responded, smiling.

I just smiled at the reaction of this gay man. I'm excited to go home to show William what I look like now.

I wear a beautiful casual white dress and pretty red shoes. I turn around and build my confidence at that moment.

When I left the Salon, Sir Conrad was amazed and stood up. He smiled when he saw me, and he clapped his hand.

"Perfect!" he said, smiling while looking at me.

Is this true? Did I dream?

We left Salon and went to the women's fashion stores. He told me to choose the clothes I wanted to wear, and I didn't miss this opportunity.

"Thank you so much, Sir," I smiled, thanking him.

"You're welcome. I want you to be presentable in my sons' eyes, especially William," he replied.

I was surprised when he mentioned William. He must have realized that he has no interest in me.

"Why is William like that? I mean, they are different from Zeus," I asked curiously.

But he didn't answer my question and continued walking. We entered an expensive restaurant and sat in a very nice seat. He called the waiter, and we ordered food.

While waiting, there was a moment of silence between us. And I just looked around the whole restaurant. But suddenly he uttered my name so I looked at him. And I was stunned by the following question he asked me.

"Which of the two do you like, Amarah?"
