Chapter 7: Compensation

Steven pressed Monica down on on the the car and kissed her for almost ten minutes.

At one point, she almost ran out of breath, and he considerately retreated for a few seconds to let her breathe heavily. Then, he once again entangled her lips and tongue, passionately and forcefully.

Their breaths intertwined in disorder, and the sound of their sticky and intimate saliva mixed with the ambiguous and suppressed stirring. Steven held the back of her head with one hand and embraced her waist with the other, completely enveloping her.

If one were to look in through the window behind him, they would only see the broad expanse of his back and Monica's faintly exposed slender legs.

In the midst of chaotic gasps, she dimly opened her eyes and saw his low-lying long lashes, as well as the enchanting mole at the corner of his eye.

As if they had a telepathic connection, the next second, he also opened his eyes. The gazes of the two people intertwined at an extremely close distance, and his dark and deep eyes erupted with indescribable intense emotions upon meeting her gaze.

He became even more forceful in his actions, as if he wanted to devour her. Monica struggled, only to be effortlessly lifted by him and laid down on the backseat of the car, with his entire body pressing down on her.

The tight restraint left her with no room to escape. Lifting her legs and reaching out her hand were of no use. She could only scratch his back frantically while he kissed and sucked on her lips and tongue, leaving her unable to even speak.

Inside the enclosed space, the sounds of gasps, kisses, and the rubbing of clothing continued incessantly, igniting an ambiguous and licentious atmosphere within the car.

It wasn't until someone approached the car, attempting to open the door and finding it locked, that the clear sound of the door handle snapping back startled them, and Steven released her.

Because the kiss was so deep, the tips of their tongues had still been entwined up until a moment ago. When they separated, a thread of silver saliva broke off at the corner of her mouth and was lightly wiped away by his fingertip.

He no longer restrained her. Monica quickly sat up and moved back, leaning against the car door, putting some distance between them.

Her hair was messy, her eyes filled with a misty layer of water, her lips still brightly glossed and red from being kissed for so long, and her cheeks all the way to her ears were flushed.

She glared at him fiercely, but with an extremely helpless coquettishness, lacking any aggression, which only made him want to do something even more outrageous.

Steven shifted his gaze away, calming down his breathing. He pressed the button on the car key to unlock it and turned to open the window. A cool breeze rushed in, instantly dispersing the ambiguous and enchanting atmosphere that had filled the car just a moment ago.

He deliberately blocked the view of anyone outside the car from peering in: "What's the matter?"

"It's not you who gets car sick, what are you dawdling in the car for? Come out and get to work." Ryan said.

Monica pretended to be dead, with her eyes closed.

"I'm spending money and putting in effort, isn't that unfair?" Steven answered sarcastically.

"Weren't you satisfied after resting for ten minutes?" Ryan asked, oblivious to what had transpired in the car.

After savoring the past ten minutes, Steven was evidently in a good mood: "I'll be right there." He said as

Ryan walked away, and Stevenhe closed the window again.

Monica thought he was going to kiss her once more, so she instinctively curled up her body and gritted her teeth: "Steven, you cheapskate. I'll just compensate you with money."

"Don't push your luck," she said.

He simply reached out and pinched her cheek. "Go to sleep."

He took off his jacket and covered her with it, then got out of the car. In that moment when the door closed, he heard her mutter, "Pervert!"

His fingertips paused on the car door for a few seconds before he withdrew them, turned around, and did not argue with what Monica had just said.

Thinking about her for so many years, he was indeed a pervert.

After Steven left, Monica couldn't fall asleep. Her mind was filled with the passionate kiss they shared in the car.

She looked at his figure outside the window and complained bitterly to herself. She took a mirror out of her bag and began to tidy up her appearance.

After confirming that everything was in order, she opened the door and got out of the car, heading towards Eric.

Eric, the young master, was sitting leisurely in a chair, playing with his phone. Monica found it unbelievable and asked, "Everyone is busy, what are you doing here?"

"I'm done with my tasks," Eric raised an eyebrow, "What about you? What were you doing with Steven in the car for so long?"

"I was sleeping because of carsickness, carsickness; how would I know what he was doing?" Monica hastily changed the subject, "I haven't settled the score with you yet. Why didn't you let me win in the final round just now? Are you happy to see your sister lose like that?"

Eric turned his head towards the sun, squinting his eyes with a slight smile, "Well, since Steven is paying, what are you afraid of? You wouldn't be concerned about his money and not care about your brother's money, would you?"

Monica became angry and made a move to pinch him, but Eric quickly dodged. The siblings played around and laughter filled the air.

After a barbecue by the lake, the afternoon was free for everyone to do as they pleased. Some went hiking, while others played cards. Monica felt sleepy again and decided to go back to her room for a nap.

When she woke up, it was already nighttime. As she looked down from the balcony of the hotel, she saw a row of colorful lights along the lakeside, blending into the endless night.

She quickly tidied up and hurried upstairs. There was a large open-air terrace on the top floor of the hotel that offered a view of the mountains and the lake. Ryan had argued with the co-investors for a long time just to build this extravagant and impractical platform, which ultimately led to delays in the project and the breakdown of the funding chain.

Now, Monica thought that he did have a bit of taste, although the cost was quite high.

A group of people had been drinking and chatting on the platform for a long time. When they saw Monica arrive, someone laughed and said, "You're not very lucky."

"What's wrong?" Monica asked.

"We were just about to start the third round of punishments. If you had come a bit later, Steven would have had to bear it alone." One of the others said.

Monica felt a bit uncertain and asked, "What kind of punishment?"

Ryan held two bottles of wine, opened them effortlessly, and placed them on the table. "The most primitive game, Truth or Dare." Ryan continued.

"Either finish a bottle in thirty seconds or answer a truth question."

She wasn't good at drinking and hesitated, "What's a truth question?"

Eric glanced at Ryan, who was clearly a bit drunk, and warned, "Watch your words."

He had, had too much to drink and had no filter, telling dirty jokes and whatnot.

"Oh, Eric certainly you cannot let him ask yourhis sister inappropriate questions," Monica said firmly.

"Of course not, what do you take me for?" Eric answered, whilst RyanRyan shook his hand, "Tonight, let's have some pure love. Very pure and innocent love."

"What about the first person you liked? How are they now?" RyanSteven asked excitedly. "So, is it pure love enough? Who wants to go first?"

Steven picked up a bottle of wine and signaled calmly.

"Forget it, I knew you wouldn't budge," Ryan looked at his watch, "Let the countdown begin!"

Steven obviously wasn't afraid of drinking. He finished a bottle without any change in expression.

It was Monica's turn, and she hesitated, saying, "I..."

Before she could finish her sentence, a hand reached out and picked up another bottle of wine. The crowd whistled and cheered, and Steven tilted his head back, once again drinking it all down.

Monica looked at him slightly surprised.

A little bit of liquid trickled down from his lips as he swallowed, glistening and translucent, wetting his neck, casting a shimmering light on the moving Adam's apple.

It was inexplicably sexy.

In less than thirty seconds, Steven finished another bottle. He shook the empty bottle, signaling that it was completely empty. The crowd applauded, and he raised his eyebrow lightly, a rare sharpness in his normally calm expression.

It seemed like Monica had returned to the summer when she first met him, on that basketball court drenched in sweat.

"Alright, alright," Ryan noticed that Steven was helping Monica out, "You're brave, my hero."

Monica followed Steven back to his er seat, frowning. "You didn't have to drink, drink; I could have answered that question."

"I don't want to hear it," he said softly, his tone off. "Is that okay?"

Monica felt that his tone was really off, as if he was in a bit of a temper.

But it was strange, it wasn't like she was forcing him to drink.
