Chapter 10

Lisa picked some flowers around the forest to make tea; during her stay here, she felt they had become a part of her. They were very kind even though sometimes their faces were very creepy. Lucanne was also getting increasingly in love with her and was so possessive that someone had to follow her wherever Lisa went.

"Sorry, Sean. Your job should be to train warriors instead of taking care of me," Lisa said.

"It's okay; it's a noble task because it protects a werewolf queen," replied Sean, a gamma who always obeyed Alpha.

"Can I ask you a question?"

"Please!"

"How do I meet the Moon Goddes again?"

Sean was silent.

"Is there a special ritual or a spell?" asked Lisa.

"Moon Goddes can't appear at random; she will appear on the night of the full moon with a summoning spell; sometimes Moon Goddes also don't want to come for certain reasons," Sean answered.

Lisa understood she went back to picking the flowers, and after the basket was complete, they returned to the Pack. Lucanne was currently in town with Mark to barter for some needed items. Lisa realized that werewolves must be roaming the city and pretending to be normal humans.

After arriving at the Pack, Lisa dried the flowers in the sun; although not much sunlight penetrated the forest, it could still dry them for the next few days.

"Luna, Nick needs your help."

Lisa went straight to her sister-in-law's house, Nick always relapsed, and Lisa always healed his pain. It was a pity for Nick's life to have to feel pain and not be able to do everyday activities anymore after participating in the war.

"Nick, are you okay?" asked Lisa.

"Luna, where's Lucanne?"

"Your sister went into town. What do you need? Just tell me!"

Nick began to whimper in pain. Lisa looked for medicine and found that it had run out. Inevitably Lisa took Nick to a doctor near the town; although at that time, many werewolves were opposed, who knows, humans could provide medicine to Nick so that he could recover.

"Alpha will be angry if he finds out Nick is getting treatment at a human doctor," Sean said.

"I'll be in charge! Don't stop us!" said Lisa.

Lisa took Nick to the city on foot; even though it was far away, Nick could still walk step by step. Lisa also used her elven power to revive Nick's weakened energy, and of course, Sean accompanied her so that no one dared to attack them on the way.

When they reached the city, Lisa took Nick to a doctor she knew. The young doctor named Jonathan was a veterinarian, Lisa often took her sick rabbits to the doctor, and now she brought a werewolf for examination.

"Lisa, aren't you in school? Who are they?" asked Doctor Jonathan.

"Doctor, please check, Nick! The wound on his leg is nasty, I have eased the pain several times using herbal medicine, but it can only be temporary," Lisa replied.

Doctor Jonathan was, of course, confused; he was a veterinarian who could examine humans. Lisa looked at Sean, who was waiting outside; while there were no scouts, Lisa could tell more about the werewolf fairy tale.

"The man before me is not human; he is a werewolf. He's also an animal, so I think Doctor Jonathan should be able to prescribe a cure for him," Lisa said.

"Werewolf? You have a fever?" asked Doctor Jonathan.

"She's a werewolf. Please check his condition first!"

Doctor Jonathan checked Nick's condition; he put a stethoscope on the man's chest and heard that his heartbeat was speedy like no other human. Nick's body stiffened, the hair on his body stood up, and his eyes became very sharp. A few seconds later, Nick's body transformed into a wolf monster like the one Lisa saw when Lucanne turned into a beast back then.

"Lisa, what kind of creature did you bring to this place?" asked Doctor Jonathan.

By this time, Nick was as high as the roof, Lisa approached him, but Nick pushed her until he hit his sharp nails and cut Lisa's arm.

"Ah!"

Doctor Jonathan quickly took the anaesthetic and desperately injected the monster's thigh until Nick turned back into a human and lay on the floor.

Meanwhile, Lucanne suddenly got a bad feeling when negotiating with the person who wanted to exchange beef with him. Her instincts were so strong that even Lisa's scent felt so close to her.

"I smell Lisa's scent around here," Lucanne said.

"I also feel a strong energy like a raging werewolf," Mark replied.

Lucanne decided to find Lisa's whereabouts by following the smell, as she was about to leave the market when she was accidentally run over by a man. Who else, if not Moreno?

"Lucanne? How are you? What are you doing here?" asked Moreno.

"I'm in a hurry," Lucanne replied.

"Congratulations on your wedding. You finally found a mate, but it looks like he's not right for you," Moreno said.

"The rule made by Moon Goodness, who created us, is not to take mates from other clan alphas," Lucanne replied.

Moreno smiled slightly. "Your instincts are solid."

Lucanne tugged at Moreno's shirt collar. "I've realized you've been watching Lisa for a long time. This time I beg you to stay away from her and find another mate! Don't let there be a war between our clans."

Moreno pushed Lucanne. "Our clans have been enemies for a long time, but don't worry, Lisa will fall into my arms sooner or later."

Lucanne, who was not in the mood to argue, got out of there before she got into a fight and destroyed the market. Lisa was now more important, especially since her scent was fading; they arrived at a veterinary practice after following her scent.

"Lisa? What's going on?"

Lucanne saw Nick lying on the bed while Lisa's hand was being bandaged by Doctor Jonathan.

"Nick needs surgery; a wound in his stomach is causing swelling. We need to find the money to take Nick to a bigger hospital," Lisa said.

"Lisa, we are ...." Lucanne stopped what she said after realizing there were humans here.

"I already know that you guys are werewolves. Take it easy because I'm a veterinarian! Nick must be operated on immediately. Otherwise, the chance of survival is minimal," said Doctor Jonathan.

Lucanne looked at Lisa's hand. "Is this Nick's doing?"

"It's nothing; he didn't do it on purpose. Lucanne, let's take Nick to the hospital! I can't cure him; he needs to be helped by a human doctor."

"Lisa, you may be my wife but can't rule me. I am the Alpha who gets to decide things, and I will take Nick home this time. I don't trust humans; they might kill Nick or use him as research material."

Lucanne carried Nick on her back, much to Lisa's dismay. Mark and Sean were silent and did not dare to interfere.

"Then I don't want to go back to the pack anymore; I'm going back to the human world," Lisa said, running away.

"Lisa!"
