Chapter 7

"I don't want to, it's morning, and it's open anyway," Lisa said.

Lucanne's face fell flat again, and he walked away.

*What a weird werewolf! *Lisa thought.

Arriving at the Pack, the werewolves were doing various activities, they had their own tasks, and when Lucanne was present, they were polite. Lisa saw the troops marching, the men's bodies were well-packed and dashing, and the female werewolves looked fantastic with their sharp gazes.

"Lisa, come here!" said Lucanne.

Lisa came forward, and hundreds of werewolves were marching this morning.

"Good morning, Luna," they said together.

"Um, good morning," Lisa replied.

"You already know that if Luna has been found, you must honor and obey her. For female werewolves, every morning, you must attend training with Lisa on medicine. The previous war saw many deaths, but there were no werewolves capable of healing, so our friends died on the battlefield," Lucanne said.

"Wait! What am I supposed to teach them? I don't understand," Lisa said.

Lucanne smiled at Lisa; seeing the alpha smile surprised the werewolves because Lucanne couldn't smile at anyone before.

"Teach them to use medicine from some plants; I'm sure you can," Lucanne said.

Lucanne looked back at the hundreds of werewolves. "Now you do your job!"

"Okay, alpha!"

After everyone dispersed, Lisa headed to the packhouse, her legs tired from the long walk while Lucanne was hunting wild boar with the warriors for today's meal. At least Lucanne had calmed down on giving Lisa human food, which she found strange.

"What sin did Mom commit that I must feel like this on earth? If I were an elf, would I be able to return to the sky? What is there?"

"Excuse me, Luna."

A female werewolf arrived; she was carrying her child, who was apparently running a fever; she wanted to ask Lisa for help to check on her child.

"Very funny, there is a werewolf child? What's your name?" asked Lisa.

"His name is Edmund; he's had a high fever since last night."

"Come here; let me check."

Lisa tried to hold the boy's forehead; it was boiling and looked weak. Lisa wanted to heal it with her hands, but it didn't work because it wasn't cut.

"I'm going to look for plants around this forest. You wait here!" Lisa said.

"Okay, Luna. You are indeed a good queen."

Lisa ran out of the packing area and took some plants believed to reduce fever. After that, Lisa returned to the Pack and began to mix the plants; it was confirmed that she understood herbal medicine.

"Madam, you can give your child this juice thrice a day; if the fever doesn't go down tonight, you can come here again," Lisa said.

"Thank you, Luna. Your presence has really made a big difference in this Pack. Alpha is very lucky to have you. Thank you."

Afterward, Lisa decided to go to the river; she wanted to bathe. After that, she felt dirty from giving Lucanne her first night. Of course, Sean monitored her from a distance because it was his job to look after Luna. Lucanne came and told Sean to take over the warriors who were hunting; Lucanne went into the river, making Lisa surprised.

"Why are you suddenly here?" asked Lisa.

"I told you that you can't leave the Pack. In this forest, not only our clan occupies, but there are other clans; they could kidnap you," Lucanne replied.

"But it's daytime," Lisa said.

"They also come out during the day, especially since this is a free zone no one owns," said Lucanne.

The man hugged Lisa from behind and kissed her on the neck. They even did a romantic scene in the calm water, and Lisa stayed still and did not rebel. The kiss left Lisa's body motionless while Lucanne's hand began to break through the skirt Lisa was wearing.

From a distance, a pair of brown eyes watched them. The girl she had been after for so long had already become another alpha's Luna.

"Alpha, what are you looking at?" Clark asked.

"That girl is an elf. I'm too late to have her," Moreno said.

"Alpha, it's never too late because you can take her from Lucanne," Clark replied.

"Then what about the wolf that attacked the girl last time?"

"He was taken captive by Lucanne."

Moreno looked at Lucanne, who was making love with his new wife in the water. When Lucanne turned to him, the two hostile alphas had always hated each other.

"Lucanne? What are you looking at?" asked Lisa.

When Lisa was about to turn her head, Lucanne suddenly kissed her while Moreno was only silent from a distance.

Lisa pushed Lucanne away; making love in the open like this was inappropriate. Lisa walked to the riverbank and sat on a rock, looking at the sky.

"Your clothes are wet," Lucanne said.

"I need to go home and get all my clothes," Lisa replied.

"You can't go away from the pack; you're so stubborn," said Lucanne.

"But I need nicer clothes; I don't like werewolf clothes which I find strange and old-fashioned," said Lisa.

Lucanne's silence made Lisa even more annoyed by the man's response.

"You are an unpleasant man," Lisa said.

"Alright, I'll take you there. Take all your clothes, and after that, don't come back to the human world again!"

Moreno returned to his Pack, the black werewolves had far fewer members than the other werewolves, but they had tremendous strength in the face of enemies.

"Do we need to attack them to get them to let Zayn go?" Clark asked.

"That would cause clan warfare. Leave it alone! We still have a lot of troops; you can come back to my place while I rest," said Moreno.

Moreno walked into the packhouse and saw Lisa's picture on the wall.

"Elf, I'll get you," said Moreno.
