Chapter 9: Teaching the ruffians a lesson
When the man's voice fell, everyone turned to look at Lomesa , mockery and disdain evident in their gazes. Lomesa didn't care about the strange looks though. She walked to her locker, only then did she notice how much of a mess was waiting for her. All her books were strewn all over the floor, some pages were even ripped off. At this moment, her aura suddenly changed. She emitted a frighteningly cold and dangerous aura that people in the class couldn't help but suck in sharp breathes.
"Who?" Lomesa suddenly turned around and asked with narrowed eyes.
"I did, why? do you want to punish me?" A boy who looked very arrogant immediately answered proudly . When he faced Lomesa, he raised his chin haughtily. He was very sure that the girl wouldn't dare make a move on her, after all, people liked to play pranks on her yet she always remained diffident. But this time, the arrogant boy was terribly wrong. Before he could react, he saw a shadow flash by and land stealthily by his side. The moment Lomesa arrived at his side, she didn't waste any time . She tightly granned his neck and lifted him up from his seat. At this moment, The boy, whose name was Rollins, was so shocked that he abruptly raised his head to look at the person who was clutching his neck, when he looked up and saw the cold and murderous eyes that were staring at him, he was so scared that his face turned pale. This time, he felt as though he was looking at a devil that had just crawled from hell, the girl infront of him looked terrifyingly cold. Especially the killing intent that was brewing in her eyes, it made her look like a bloodthirsty demon who had come to exert revenge. At this moment, Rollins finally understood truly what fear meant and felt like. At this moment, he was also regretting provoking Lomesa. He open his mouth and was about to speak when Lomesa suddenly flung him to the side. He crashed into the wall in a sorry state. When his lackeys saw these, they were enraged thus, the four of them charged at Lomesa at the same time. Lomesa seemed relaxed and even had one of her hands in the pocket of her tracksuit. Rollins was about to warn them, however, he was a step late. When people thought that Lomesa was going to be beaten to death. She nimbly dodged the punch that was aimed at her face, meanwhile, she used her leg to kick the other guy that was charging at her. He immediately crushed into a desk and let out a painful muffled groan. She broke the wrist of the guy who was about punch her again, and the guy immediately spat out a mouthful of blood. The remaining two were delt with adeptly. They were given a kick each, the whole process didn't take more than a minute but looking at the guys' contorted expression, students in class felt pain just looking at them. After the initial shock, the students in class looked at Lomesa as though they had seen a ghost. She was too terrifying and strange. Wasn't she just a country bumpkin yesterday who always meekly lowered her head and listened to the taunting and insults from the students? Why did she change overnight? Could it be that something really happened that made her change?
Yes, something really did change . However, Lomesa had no intention of telling anyone what exactly happened. This was a secret that she would always bury in her heart until the day she would die.
Right now, Lonesa was slowly walking to where Rollins was sitting on the floor, every step she made Rollin's heart hammer in fear. When she stood before him, he immediately shrank back , looking at Lomesa fearfully.
"You should know what to do, right? I'll give you a minute." To the students watching, Lomesa was just speaking casually, However, only Rollins, who was on the floor, could feel the overwhelming pressure that Lomesa was emanating at the moment. He just had the urge to run as far away from her as possible.
"Yes yes, sorry." Rollins said respectfully and hurried over. The students in the whole class watched as Rollins picked up books from the floor and arranged them neatly in her locker. He even wiped the dust off her seat clean. People were so shocked that they could not close their mouths for a long time. However, they dared not make a sound, Lomesa had truly terrified them.
"Go back to your seat." Lomesa ordered Rollins who was still standing with his head lowered at Lomesa's desk. When he heard this, Rollins secretly heaved a sigh of relief and hurried off to his seat. When the lackeys saw his actions, they imitated him and went to their seats as well. Noticing the silence in the class, Lomesa smirked in satisfaction. This was the effect she wanted to achieve. She wanted people to know that she wasn't someone to be trifled with. She didn't want people to walk all over her. That wasn't like her at all. Actually, she despised the state she was in especially before she was reborn.
It was only when Lomesa turned and focused ob doing her business that peopke dared to breath loudly. Damn! she gave people quite a scare. However, the fear was already engraved in their hearts. They knew they would never be able to win against Lomesa so they swore in their hearts to avoid provoking her.
Lomesa today actually managed to have a moment of peace. The feeling was novel yet satisfying. She honestly didn't like noise .She detested talking too. Atleast sue didn't have to handle troublesome people. Surprisingly, Samantha didn't visit her at all. Strange. Was she absent?
After classes were over that day, Lomesa immediately boarded a cab and went to the place where she had told the nanny her aunt got her to wait. After alighting, she paid the driver the cab fare and headed into the restaurant. When she saw the person she was looking at, she immediately walked over.
"Hello " Lomesa extended her hand towards the nanny.
"Hello madam, my name is Lily." the nanny introduced herself while shaking Lomesa's outstretched hand.
"Nice to meet you, Lomesa." Lomesa briefly introduced herself.
After they introduced themselves, Lomesa led the way and two walked out of the restaurant. They boarded a cab and headed for Lomesa's place. On the way, Lomesa briefed Lily about Valeria, including her health condition and psychological condition. She briefed her about this, not because she was worried about her maltreating Valeria, bit because she was giving her a choice to turn back now if she felt like it was too overwhelming. Surprisingly, Lily actually didn't mind everything that Lomesa said. That was expected, after all, she was Mrs Anastasia's most trusted servant, given the director's strictness, Lomesa was sure that she wouldn't hate any word she was given as long as auntie Anastasia said the word. Shortly after, the two women arrived at Lomesa's villa. Lomesa immediately keyed in the password and stepped in the house. She didn't forget to usher Lily in. When the two women entered the house, the immediately saw a small lump curled up on the couch. She was curled up in a foetal position. Lomesa remembered that in one of the books of psychology she read, it claimed that whenever someone lay in a foetal position, they did so because they were insecure. Lomesa's heart ached at the thought of the little girl going through so much torment at such a young age. Since she was sleeping, Lomesa retracted her gaze and led Lily upstairs to her room first. She took Lily to the room that she had prepared yesterday. Initially, it was supposed to be Valeria's room but there was no Nedd since the little girl was staying with Lomesa now. Lomesa felt really thankful that she had cleaned it up yesterday. That saved her from a lot of hassle. She excused herself and went to her bedroom to take her bag there. After placing her bag on the study table in the bedroom, she went back downstairs to check at her little girl. At this moment, the girl stirred in her sleep amd finally woke up after much struggle. Maybe the commotion of them entering the house had disturbed her. She was still lying on the couch in a daze when she felt someone hug her . When Lomesa hugged her, she placed her on her lap.
"Sister!" the girl's eyes lit up the moment she saw that Lomesa was back. She really missed her big sister during the day.
"Hmm, I'm here. Are you hungry?" Lomesa patted her on the head and asked her.
"No, look, I even finished that bag of snacks. " Valeria pointed at the bag of crisps that was on the table. It was the smallest quantity. Her lips twitched. Is that what she meant by she was not hungry?
"Let's get you cleaned. After that, I'll take you to meet someone , okay?" Lomesa carried the little girl in her arms and headed upstairs.
Meanwhile, as Samantha listened to the events that happened today in Lomesa's class, she narrowed her eyes dangerously.
'No, this can't go on, absolutely not!'
