✨Chapter 6✨

Julia got out of the car when the reporters refused to get out of her way.

"I'm really not in a good mood right now, so I'll advise you guys not to block my way unless you feel you are tired of living," she said calmly and returned to her car.

The reporters moved aside, and she drove speedily to Dylan's company.

"Where is Dylan?" she asked his secretary as soon as she got in.

"Ma'am, you need an appointment if you want to see Mr....." the secretary didn't get to complete her sentence before Julia barged in

"Did I not tell you to always knock before....." Dylan raised his head as he spoke, but he paused to see who it was.

"What are you doing here?" he asked coldly.

"It's simple, and I won't take much of your time. Do you really love Nicole alone?" Julia asked.

"Why are you asking that dumb question? If you watched the live video, you will know the answer to that already" Dylan scoffed.

"So you never loved me? You were lying to me all this time by telling me you love me?" Julia asked again.

"I don't know. All I know is that Nicole is the only person I love right now" Dylan said unsurely.

"Okay, it's fine. I brought the divorce papers with me, so just sign them, and I won't ever show up before you again," Julia said.

"Why should I sign the divorce papers when we are not even married?" Dylan asked.

"I know you've already stopped seeing me as your wife a long time ago. All you need to do is just sign these papers so that it will be proven legally that we are divorced," Julia said.

"Just sign the papers and give them to her since she promised not to show up before you again," Nicole said from behind and walked up to Dylan.

She had been listening to their conversation from the start and had to intervene because she didn't like where it was heading.

"I don't sign anything without reading it first," Dylan said and withdrew his hand from Nicole's.

She took a pen and put it in Dylan's hand for him to sign the document without knowing that Dylan read his document first.

"I'm glad that you still read things before signing them. At least I know you are in your right senses. I already know that, so I didn't write anything that will seem absurd," Julia said.

Dylan paused and looked from Julia to Nicole. To him, Julia seems to know more about him than Nicole does. Nicole doesn't know his likes and dislikes even though they've been together for over two years.

Dylan read the contract and signed it after confirming that the terms made sense.

"You promised not to show up before me after this, so I hope you keep your promise," Dylan said as he handed the papers to Julia.

"Sure!" Julia said with a forced tearful smile and left his office quickly.

She broke down in tears as soon as she got into her car and cried her heart out. Her heart was hurting so badly, and she couldn't control her tears.

A few minutes later, she drove back home only for her to meet Roy Albert at her gate once again.

"Good morning. I told you I'm going to keep coming until you accept me. I admit that I made a mistake by taking advantage of a drunk girl, and I'm sorry. Now that you are pregnant with my child, can you please let me take responsibility?" Roy pleaded as soon as Julia got down from the car.

Instead of answering him, Julia took her phone and made a call.

"Good afternoon. Am I speaking with Laura?" she asked.

"Afternoon ma. And yes, this is Laura," Laura replied from the other end.

"Good! This is Julia Louis. I called you because I need a bodyguard very urgently. I want just one bodyguard, and I want him to be very strong. He should be in his late thirties or early forties," Julia said.

"Okay ma. I will get back to you in the next twenty-four hours for the necessary procedures," Laura said.

"Alright, thank you." Julia ended the call and wanted to go in when Roy blocked her path.

"Did you hire a bodyguard because of me?" Roy asked.

"When next you come here, I won't ask you to leave politely. I'm going to ask my guard to throw you out because you are very stupid.

You raped me and still have the guts to come here to claim responsibility for your child? Who even told you the child belongs to you?

If not for the stupid laws that exist in this world, imbeciles like you should be killed on the spot. Cross my path one more time, and I will make you regret it," Julia threatened and went in.

Dylan's mansion

After Julia left with the divorce papers, Dylan was quiet all through. Nicole tried talking to him, but he ignored her every time.

"Are you ignoring me because of Julia?" Nicole asked after they returned to the mansion that evening.

"Why does it seem like you are jealous of Julia? You are my fiancee, right? and I even signed divorce papers so that she won't come here anymore," Dylan said.

"I don't trust her. She might break her promise and come again. Just promise that you won't listen to her," Nicole said.

"I really don't understand you. Are you saying that there is no one in this world I can trust except you? Everyone is wrong and you're the only one that is right?" Dylan asked.

"No, that's not it. I just don't want people to take advantage of the fact that you lost your memory," Nicole said.

"I tried searching for my accident, but I didn't see anything about it. Considering how wealthy I am, shouldn't there be any post about my accident?" Dylan asked.

"Uhm.... I told them to delete it because I didn't want people to find out that you lost your memory. They will take advantage of you if they know," Nicole said.

"What exactly are you saying? You told me not to trust anyone because they will take advantage of me now that I've lost my memory but in reality, no one even knows that I lost my memory. Is that making any sense to you?" Dylan scoffed

"I'm just trying to keep you away from danger, and some people might have seen it before I deleted it," Nicole said.

"Why did you ask me to sign the divorce papers today? I wasn't married to Julia or was I?" Dylan asked.

"No, I asked you to sign it because she promised not to show up before us again" Nicole said.

"I won't say anything about this for now, but if I notice anything suspicious about you again, you will cease to be my fiancee, and I won't trust you anymore," Dylan concluded and went upstairs.

Nicole glared hard at him as he walked away, and she followed behind him.

The maid Nicole employed already served the food on the dining table, so they just needed to take a shower and return downstairs to eat.

While Dylan was in the bathroom, Nicole switched his drugs with one she got from someone and threw the ones from the hospital away.

"Let's eat so that you can take your medicine after that," Nicole said to Dylan after he came out of the bathroom.
