29. Slightly Sensitive Angel
"What do you mean, Angel? Mrs. Matthew frowned in confusion. "How did you become a vampire?"
"Didn't Mommy say that humans can become vampires, and what if I turn into a vampire?" Angel's voice sounded shaky, even her eyes began to tear up.
"Angel-"
"Isn't mommy definitely leaving me?" interrupted Angel with a blushing face.
"Darling, you misunderstood." Mrs. Matthew intended to take Angel's hand, but was pushed aside by the girl roughly.
"I know, I'm not that important in mommy's life!" Angel stamped her foot, ran past her mother to climb the stairs of their house.
"Angels!" Mrs. Matthew was getting ready to chase when Erick held one of his hands.
"Just let it go, it looks like Angel is being sensitive."
"Oh my god..." Mrs. Matthew rubbed his face roughly, then looked back at Erick. "Thank you for saving Angel, but is she really okay?"
Erick smiled a little. "Don't worry, Angel is very well at the moment. The wound will heal soon, because my doctor has taken care of it."
"Thank you very much, Erick." Mrs. Matthew held the man's hand, but immediately frowned when he felt Erick's cold skin.
"Can I speak to Angel?" Erick asked while pulling his hand quickly.
"Oh yeah-" Mrs. Matthew blinked for a moment, then attempted a strained smile. "Please tell Angel that I love her very much."
"Okay, I'll explain to him." Erick smiled faintly, then stepped up the stairs to go to Angel's room.
Erick brought Mrs. Matthew, who was really worried about Angel, but also felt a little scared. Even the woman had suspected him earlier.
Erick was seen going straight into Angel's room without knocking on the door, finding the girl sitting on the edge of the bed staring at the open balcony. He could see Angel's shoulders rising and falling slowly, indicating that the girl was crying.
"He's just worried about you," Erick said as he walked closer, then sat beside Angel who didn't budge. "Angel-"
"I don't blame him," Angel interjected with a restrained sob, her eyes seemed to have clouded with tears.
"Then why are you angry, hem?" Erick pulled the side of Angel's face to wipe away the girl's tears.
"I'm just afraid."
Erick frowned deeply. "What are you afraid of?"
"I'm just afraid that Mommy will really leave me when she finds out who I really am," Angel said between her sobs. "She's all I have in this world."
"You also have me, Angel...." Erick cupped both sides of Angel's face with a firm look. "And you won't lose Mrs. Matthew. Even though she's not your real mother, she loves you very much."
"I really don't want to lose it."
Erick pulled Angel's body, holding her close. "Don't worry, you won't lose anyone."
Angel wrapped her arms around Erick's body so tightly, hiding her face in the man's chest. "Do not go again...."
Erick smiled as he kissed the top of Angel's head. He was like a teenager who was in love, feeling so happy just by hearing such a simple sentence. "Are you afraid I'll leave?"
Angel nodded quickly, raised her face to look at Erick without letting go of her hug. "I'm afraid of losing control when no one controls me, and only you can help me."
"So you don't want me to leave just because you need my help?" Asked Erick with a disappointed face, and innocently Angel nodded just like that.
"Ah damn, I think you've started to love me," grumbled Erick.
Suddenly Angel hit Erick's arm lightly, pressing his face back into the man's chest. "Why are you still joking at a time like this?"
"I'm not kidding, Angel... I really want you to admit that you love me..."
Angel suddenly chuckled in between her sobs, not knowing what to respond to Erick's statement which sounded so funny when he was sad.
"You're laughing at me?" Erick let go quickly.
Angel actually laughed in between sobs at this time. "Gosh... you're so cute but also annoying..."
"You-" Erick suddenly stopped his sentence when he heard a call in his head.
"Your Honour...."
"What's wrong, James?" Erick said closing his eyes.
"His Majesty came and looked for you."
"Why did he come suddenly?"
"We don't know either."
"Okay, I'll be there now," Erick replied before opening his eyes again.
"Who are you talking to?" Angel asked with a frown.
"James contacted me through thoughts," Erick answered while caressing the side of Angel's face gently.
"Where are you going?"
"To my castle."
Instantly Angel's expression changed, looking disappointed there. This did not escape Erick's attention, forcing him to cup the side of Angel's face again and bring their faces not far apart. "You can still contact me through your mind, since we are still in the same country. So don't be afraid of anything."
"Tomorrow, are you coming to campus?"
Erick nodded with a gentle smile. "I'll pick you up tomorrow morning."
Instantly there was a twinkle in Angel's eyes that had dimmed, but she still had the pride to show a real happy smile.
"Don't go anywhere, you will stay safe while in this house," Erick said with a firm look.
"Yes I know."
Erick began to cover Angel's lips softly, sucking up and down alternately without pause. It felt like he didn't want to stay away from her, but now he had no other choice but to return to the castle.
"Eengg...." Angel groaned softly when Erick clamped and pulled her lips apart, making her feel the pleasure she was missing.
"Still want more?" Erick teased while caressing Angel's lips softly.
Angel bit her lower lip and looked away. "No, go."
Erick chuckled, pulling Angel's chin to return to enjoying those soft lips shorter. "Okay, I have to go."
Angel sighed softly, looking at Erick who came out of his room. He smiled faintly, feeling that he was very addicted to every touch of the vampire.
"There's no way I love him," Angel muttered while shaking his head slowly, rejecting what his heart said.
Angel got up from the bed, walked back out of the room. He felt that he should apologize to his mother, because his attitude earlier was indeed a bit excessive.
"Mom..." Angel called as she walked down the stairs. He frowned when he got no answer. "Where is he?"
Angel's feet kept moving, preparing to head to the kitchen when she heard a voice from the front room. As a result he walked forward, found his mother who seemed to be talking to a man.
"Mom..." Angel called as she approached.
"Ah Angel... here is a friend of yours looking for," said Mrs. Matthew with his head turned.
"Friend?" Angel frowned, fixing her gaze on the man before her mother. He squinted as he didn't recognize the smiling man. "Who are you?"
"Hi, Angel... you don't recognize me?"
Angel was even more confused, because she did not recognize the man. His eyes moved across the face that looked foreign, trying to remember in case he forgot.
However, suddenly Angel's instincts worked quickly, especially when she realized that the man's face was very pale, with slightly red brown eyes. "You- vampire?"
