Chapter 1 Billionaire Heir

"William, let's break up!"

"Why break up? I've been so good to you. Are four years of love worth nothing?" William felt very uncomfortable when he heard his girlfriend's words.

He had just been fired from his company and was already in a bad mood. Now that he heard his girlfriend break up with him, he felt even more painful and desperate.

Madison, William's girlfriend, heard his words and sneered, "Don't you know why we broke up? You poor loser, you can't afford the money and life I want. Don't pester me anymore!"

William was struck by Madison's words. He had originally wanted to save her, but she left without hesitation.

Through the transparent glass window of the coffee shop, he saw Madison holding a young man in a BMW. She looked very flattering and coquettish and even took the initiative to kiss the man.

William didn't expect that Madison, who had been with him for so long, wouldn't sleep with him but would be intimate with other men. He was angry but helpless.

He knew that this world was very realistic. Money could get everything: power, a happy life, and women!

William was very sad and couldn't help but think, how good would it have been if he had money? If he had money, he would have everything!

William laughed at himself and finished the bitter coffee in front of him in frustration.

At this moment, his cell phone rang, and William answered it irritably. He only heard a loud voice from the other end. "William, your rent is two months overdue. If you don't pay it soon, I'm going to have to throw your stuff out."

"Do whatever you want." After saying this, William hung up the phone sadly.

Losing his job and his love and now being evicted by the landlord, the feeling of failure in life filled William's heart in an instant. He felt like he was a loser in the legend.

In the evening, William walked down the bustling street, watching the hurried passersby, feeling an indescribable sense of despondency. After graduating from university, he worked hard in this big city for three years, but in the end, he achieved nothing. He couldn't even afford to pay the rent. Could there be anything more frustrating than this?

William walked to a bridge, holding a can of beer in his hand, leaning on the bridge railing, and taking a few sips of beer. This was already the fifth can of beer, and he was a little drunk.

Looking at the turbulent river under the bridge, He really wanted to jump into it. But when he thought of his parents, he held back.

"I wonder how my parents are doing. I haven't seen them for three years. I'm such an ungrateful son," he muttered.

After graduating, William had been working hard in this big city, even working overtime during the holidays to make money. He wanted to buy a house here and married his girlfriend, but now it seemed ridiculous.

He took out his phone and wanted to call his parents in the countryside. However, as soon as he picked up the phone, he saw his mother calling. William quickly adjusted his mood and answered the phone.

Soon, a familiar and kind voice came from the other end. "William, how are you doing? Are you suffering?"

"I'm doing pretty well. My boss said that I will be promoted to director next month, and my salary will be doubled." William lied easily.

"Actually, you don't have to work so hard. We have been hiding something from you for a long time, and now it's time to tell you," his mother's voice came again.

"What's the matter?" William's heart tightened as he said.

"Actually, our family is very rich, and you are a super-rich second generation!" My mother's words were full of deep concern.

"Don't be funny, Mom, I'll hang up first. I'll have to work overtime later!" William smiled, not taking his mother's words seriously at all.

After all, his parents were farmers. Maybe in their eyes, having over a thousand dollars could be considered rich.

"William, what I said is true," his mother's anxious voice came from the phone.

"It's easy to believe you; just transfer a million dollars to my bank account. Alright, I'll go to work, and you should rest early. Goodbye." William said and hung up the phone directly. When the cold wind blew, it felt even colder.

He knew that his parents would never be able to come up with a million dollars, even if they sold the house in their hometown, so he didn't take his mother's words to heart at all.

However, shortly after, William suddenly received a text message on his phone. He subconsciously clicked it open, and it was a text message from his bank card, showing that a million dollars had been transferred into his bank card!
