Chapter 10 You're No Longer the Vice Dean!
"Ah!"
Neil let out a scream. He felt like he was being burned alive.
He rolled on the ground in agony.
George didn't stop and continued hitting Neil's leg with the baton.
The strikes were accompanied by the sound of bones cracking. The force was visibly powerful!
George only targeted his legs, not anywhere else.
At first, Neil screamed and begged for mercy, but soon he couldn't bear it and fainted from the pain.
His two legs were already a bloody mess and looked distorted. It was clear that there were compound fractures!
This scene shocked the onlookers, and they sucked in a breath of cold air, their skin covered in goosebumps.
They had heard about George's ruthlessness but seeing it with their own eyes was even more terrifying.
George stopped only when the baton broke.
Wiping the sweat off his forehead, he turned to Ryder with a slightly ingratiating smile. "Mr. Clark, you were right. This guy was indeed hospitalized because of a leg injury!"
Ryder nodded.
He was amazed at George's quick reaction. He truly was a street-smart person. Just by mentioning something casually, the other party could understand his meaning.
His actions were also ruthless and decisive! This kind of person would be useful in the future.
Just then, Neil's mother suddenly screamed and rushed out from the ward.
"You bastards! How dare you lay a hand on my son? I'll fight you all!"
But before she could make it to the door, George, without even lifting his eyelids, delivered a swift kick right into her abdomen.
She let out a cry and tumbled over, falling three to four meters away. She lay on the ground wailing in pain.
George licked his lips menacingly and threatened, "You bitch, utter one more word and I'll strip you naked for the whole city to see!"
Neil's mom immediately fell silent.
As for Neil's dad, he had long been terrified and dared not make a peep.
At this moment, James remained calm and strong. "Clark, I know you have influence in Houston, but this hospital is not a place for you to run wild! Leave with your people now! Don't blame me for being impolite later!"
"Fuck you for challenging me!"
George directly slapped James! Then, he grabbed James by the collar and dragged him over to Ryder, asking, "Mr. Clark, how should we handle this baldy?"
James threatened, trying to maintain a tough front, "You little punk, I'd advise you to behave. I have treated countless patients over the years, and I know many important figures. I’m not someone you should mess with!"
Ryder squinted slightly and said to George, "Just now, you called him bald. Why can't I see it? He still has quite a bit of hair!"
George's eyes lit up, immediately understanding what Ryder meant.
With a wave of his hand, he commanded his henchmen, "Pluck all the hair off this baldy. Make him truly bald!"
The henchmen immediately swarmed.
They grabbed James, and countless hands ruthlessly pulled his hair! Some even took out fruit knives and scraped at his scalp without mercy!
"Ah! It hurts! Please, stop..." James struggled and roared, but it was all in vain.
Balding individuals often care the most about their hair. Even if they only have a few strands left, they protect them meticulously. And now, they faced the most heartless and trampling desecration! No one dared to intervene.
What about those three security guards? They were so scared that they hid among the crowd, fearing being caught up in the chaos.
Two minutes later
George's henchmen dispersed.
James' head was now completely bald, his scalp severely injured and bleeding. He looked extremely disheveled.
Laughter and mockery erupted from the onlookers, pointing and gossiping. At this moment, James felt an indescribable sense of humiliation and rage in his chest.
With a flushed face and trembling body, he yelled, "You bunch of scumbags! I will use my position as the Vice President of Houston First Hospital to sue you… You'll have no place to bury yourselves!"
As soon as the words were spoken, an elderly voice echoed from behind the crowd, "James, from today onwards, you are no longer the Vice President of Houston First Hospital. You have no right to represent our hospital and sue anyone!"
Everyone turned to look.
An elderly man in a white coat, wearing glasses, walked over with several young doctors surrounding him.
James looked surprised.
"Director Gaiman, you're back from your overseas inspection so early..."
Richard Gaiman snorted coldly and responded with anger, "If I hadn't come back, our hospital's reputation would have been completely tarnished by scum like you!"
Ignoring James, he quickly approached Ryder and bowed deeply, "Mr. Clark, I apologize on behalf of Houston First Hospital for the trouble caused to you due to the mismanagement!" Ryder had long heard of Richard's name.
As the director of Houston First Hospital, he was a prominent figure in the medical community of Texas. Ryder genuinely respected this doctor who possessed both virtue and talent.
"Director Gaiman, you're too kind. I understand that this matter has nothing to do with you. It is the result of James' selfish desires," Ryder said. "Mr. Clark, rest assured, I will ensure justice for you!" Richard's gaze landed on James.
"Do you have anything else to say?"
At this moment, James no longer had his previous arrogance.
He knelt on the ground, looking flustered as he explained, "Director, please listen to my explanation. It's really not my fault in this matter. They conspired against me, taking advantage of the fact that our hospital has no one to stand up for it. Director, you must be the one to speak up for me."
Richard glared coldly, clearly not believing his words. At this moment, a crowd had gathered in the hallway, discussing James' recent misconduct. Some of them even began recording videos to upload online.
James could no longer sit still. Suddenly, he stood up, pointing angrily at Richard and yelled, "I only called you Director out of respect, don't think highly of yourself. You're just an old fool who's lost his way with age. Even if you're the director, you can't easily fire me, the vice director!"
"Indeed, it's not easy to fire you, but with this, I don’t have to waste my breath on it..."
Richard took a stack of papers from his assistant and threw them in James' face.
"These are all the evidences of your abuse of power and embezzlement at the hospital. With just these, you'll be sentenced to at least ten years in prison. The police will be here soon."
James' face turned pale. He knelt down again, clasping Richard's leg and begged for mercy, sobbing. Richard simply bent down slightly and whispered something to James.
The latter's body froze abruptly. He turned his head, looking at Ryder with a look of despair, and then seemingly lost all spirit in an instant. Kneeling there, he became motionless and resigned. In no time, several police officers arrived and after a brief conversation with Richard, they took James away on the spot. Richard paid no attention to any other matters.
A young and well-known doctor pointed to Neil who had fainted on the ground and asked Richard with caution, "Director, what should we do with this patient?"
Richard raised his eyelids slightly and replied, "Our hospital can't tolerate such individuals. Please take him out! Oh, and inform other hospitals in the city as well."
The young doctor's heart skipped a beat.
Director Gaiman speaking like that meant that no hospital in Houston could dare to take Neil.
He secretly glanced at Ryder.
He decided that he must maintain a low-profile and humility in the hospital in the future. Otherwise, he might end up like James.
