"I had someone come in to clean up and stock the fridge. We'll be on our own but I asked them to leave the front door open so I'd know that they had already left."Hunter informed me.

I nodded still in awe of all the beauty and wealth around me.

"Should I carry you through the threshold."Hunter teased.

"I'm capable of walking, thank you very much."I replied walking through the door on my own leaving Hunger behind.

The entrance revealed a staircase leading up to the first floor, a living area with a fire place, a hallway with a couple of rooms on one side and what I guessed to be the kitchen on the other side.

"Tour first."Hunter declared setting my bag down and taking my hand.

He pulled me with him as he walked into the kitchen which was huge, bigger than my tiny apartment and fully furnished. It had wooden cabinets, a refrigerator, cooker, microwave and a central counter top with a couple of stools.

"Fully stocked so you and I can make our own meals."Hunter said opening the fridge to show me it's contests.

I nodded because it had way more food than we would need for a few days but I didn't say anything.

"Moving on."Hunter declared opening a door I hadn't noticed that opened up to a formal dining room with a connecting door to the living room and two more leading to the backyard and laundry room.

"We'll save the backyard for last."Hunter said pulling me back inside and leading me up the stairs.

"We have five bedrooms up here and the master bedroom, each have their own bathroom and closet but only two and the master have a balcony."Hunter informed me as he opened the door to the first bedroom.

The room was big and plain with only a queen size bed in the middle of it. It had a window overlooking the front of the compound. The closet was empty except for beddings and extra curtains. The bathroom had a single sink, a glass shower and a bathtub.

"All rooms are like this?"I asked looking at the beautiful bathroom.

"Yes."Hunter affirmed.

I'd never used a bathtub in my life but I had always wanted to which I guess I'd get a chance now.

We moved on to the other bedrooms which were more or less the same.

"This is the master bedroom and where we will be sleeping. Don't worry as soon as my parents moved out I changed the bed so it won't be weird."Hunter commented with a smile.

That was a relief because it would have been awkward sleeping in the same bed the vice president and his wife had shared.

"I thought I was getting my own room?"I teased Hunter opening the door.

"Wishful thinking baby girl."He muttered in my ear closing the door behind me.

The room was big and spacious with a king size bed in the middle of the room. It had white sheets and gold pillows to match the curtains. The closet had a few of Hunter's clothes which made sense as he didn't have a bag with him. The bathroom was bigger with a double sink, glass shower, large bath tub and the toilet.

"What do you think?"Hunter asked as I walked back into the bedroom.

"It's big."I replied honestly with a sigh.

"Yeah and..."He chapped waiting for more.

"It's great, big and beautiful."I replied to appease his heart.

"I'm glad you approve."Hunter smiled pulling me into his arms and kissing me softly.

"I know this is a lot for you but I appreciate you trying. One step at a time."Hunted whispered kissing me again.

I held onto his shirt tightly as our tongues played tango with each other.

"It's already past noon. Why don't I make us something to eat then we can figure out what to do for the rest of the afternoon?"Hunter suggested.

"Can I cook instead?"I countered as we walked out of the bedroom.

"You don't trust my cooking skills baby girl?"Hunter teased.

"I do, I just want to test out your fancy kitchen. You'll have to show me how most stuff works though."I requested.

"Then we'll cook together."Hunter replied smiling at me.

I nodded and followed him into the kitchen. We went through each ingredient in there and decided on rice and beef stew since it was easy to make.

"An apron for you my dear."Hunter said in a fake fancy voice holding it out for me.

"Thank you."I smiled putting it on even if I'd never needed an apron for cooking before.

Hunter took off his hoodie leaving him in a white shirt and put on his apron. He looked really hot especially with his arms bulging out of the t-shirt. I'd been thinking about him all week and now that we were up close and personal I wanted to jump his bones more than ever but I had to remind myself to take things slow. He and I would be together for a few days, enough time for me to scratch my itch. I shook my head to get rid of the images of Hunter bending me over the kitchen sink and plowing through me.

"You have a pool."I exclaimed as I drew the curtains to let in some light and open the the windows.

"Yeah sorry, I forgot to show you the backyard."Hunter mumbled looking embarrassed.

I rolled my eyes at him before turning my back gaze back outside. The kitchen windows allowed a view of most of the backyard so I could see a lot. There was the pool, a bonfire pit and a patio with white pristine sofas.

Honestly speaking only the richest of the rich could afford using white sofas outside.

I pulled my gaze away and started helping Hunter with our meal preparation to avoid feeling too bad about myself.

"How are you so good at cooking? Shouldn't you be a spoilt brat who doesn't even know how to boil water?"I asked Hunter as I watched him cut the onions onto perfect circles.

"Thank you for the vote of confidence baby girl."Hunter mocked me.

"I'm sorry I'm judging and stereotyping."I apologized.

"It's all good. I learnt to cook from my mom. She was raised in a very traditional home and wanted to pass down some of those teachings to us. From a young age she made sure that we could feed ourselves, do our laundry and perform basic house chores. She said that being born a male and into money doesn't give us the excuse to be lazy and spoilt."He explained.

"Your mom keeps getting better in my eyes. I've meet her before you know but she wouldn't remember. I was in high school and she came with a church group to minister in our school. There was a meet and greet after and those few seconds when she hugged me and shook my hand were the highlight of my term that year."I said to Hunter.

"Looks like the fates had decided long ago that we would meet after all."Hunter grinned popping a piece of tomato into his mouth.

"You're a firm believer in predetermined destiny aren't you?"I asked Hunter.

"Not really but I don't believe in coincidence, to me everything happens for a reason, at the time when it was supposed to."Hunter added.

"Well then my good sir, I'm glad the fates brought us together."I admitted honestly.

"Me too baby girl, me too."Hunter smiled leaning over the counter to kiss me softly.

I smiled and pushed him away gently before he over did it and we got distracted. I was hungry.

I cooked the rice as Hunter focused on the beef.

"Who takes care of this place when you're not around?"I asked Hunter when I saw the how clean everything was.

There wasn't even a thing out of place or dust on any surface which meant it was regularly cleaned.

"There's two cleaners who come in once a week when I'm not around to tidy up and three times when I'm here. There's a gardener who's here everyday because he maintains the pool too. It's mostly empty but I had him fill it for us."Hunter explained.

"Seems like you're understaffed for such a big place."I commented.

"You're right, we had a lot more when we all lived here but I don't see the need when it's just me. Maybe I'll increase the staff when I move in here full time but that won't be for another couple of years. I'm only moving in here after my first child is born."Hunted expounded.

His explanation was reasonable but it also made me scared. He was looking at me as if we were making those plans together yet it was just him. I didn't imagine my life as someone's wife or mother.

"So you want a wife and kids?"I choked out.

"Of course but only when the time is right and when I find the right person."Hunter assured me.

The more he talked the more scared I got

"Don't worry baby girl, you made it clear that you don't want any of that and I'd never clip your wings. You're safe with me."Hunter reassured me when he saw the scared look on my face yet it did less to ease my worry.

"I never said I don't want any of that. I just don't want it now. Maybe in the next few years after I've enjoyed being a girl and I'm ready to be a mom and a wife."I informed Hunter.

"I don't know what tomorrow holds for us but I do hope our futures are intertwined in a way. For now let's live one day at a time."Hunter suggested hopefully.

"Okay I like the sound of that."I said with a smile.

Hunter smiled too and chucked a coriander at me making me laugh.

the plans I had for my life.

I didn't know if Hunter and I would still be together in six months or a year. It hurt to think about him with anyone else or us parting ways that's why as long as were together, I would treasure what we had.

"Do you have a doctorate?"I asked Hunter as we sat waiting for the food to cook.

"Yes in economics. I thought about getting a phd but only for a second until the idea of more studying made my stomach churn."Hunter replied.

The man was smart which was kind of obvious seeing as he had started his one company and it was successful.

"I'll get my masters too when I have enough money for the tuition fees."I expressed.

"I can sponsor you or help you get a scholarship if you don't want my money."Hunter replied.

"It's cute how your first reaction at any problem I have is to throw money at me."I commented with a laugh.

"It's not my fault. I care about you and I take care of people I care about."Hunter replied.

"Thank you bear. I'm okay for now and besides I want to take a break from studies first. When I'm ready to continue, I might just take you up on your offer."I said to him.

"Good. Never be afraid to ask for my help, even when we're no longer a thing. I'd be happy to help you."Hunter assured me.

I smiled gratefully at him and took a sip of my water.

Hunter was too kind and giving for his own good. He was strong and dominant but sometimes I saw hints of a man who had been broken and just needed a hug and someone to take care of him. Our deal was to take care of each other and I would do my best to be there for him. I couldn't do much for him financially as the guy had enough money and then some but I could be there for him emotionally, spiritually and definitely physically.

"Food is done and right on time because I'm famished."Hunter announced as he checked the cooking pots.

"Okay sit down, I'll serve."I directed getting off my stool.

"You do that, while I get some wine."Hunter declared spanking me lightly as he passed by me.

I giggled at how childish he could be sometimes and turned off the cooker. I served us two generous servings and realized there was enough food left over for later so I covered it carefully since all we'd have to do for dinner is reheat it.

I loved how open and genuine he was. It reassured me that I was dating someone mature who actually listened to me and respected my decisions and the plans I had for my life.
