Beginning the score

On the other side of campus Nate positioned himself on a bench just outside the building where the business majors would be exiting. His outfit designer, hair pulled back into a pony with strands hanging around his face. He chose a book on poetry to be reading as the girls passed. He had deducted that to find the daughter of a wealthy family, she would most likely be a business major. He would sit there and be sure to ignore each of the lovely ladies as they passed by.

Before long the class had ended for those taking the business major and the students began to file out.

The classes were a mixture of male and female students. One such student being Abby Erickson, a basic spoiled rich girl with a less then remarkable personality and a resting bitch face. Her confidence in herself was off the chart with narcissistic tendencies, manners lacking, and the inability to see beyond herself. The money that her family has is new money. She wore name brand everything, nails always done, hair extentions, heavy makeup, and lots of accessories. She had an annoying baby voice that she would use when she wanted to appear innocent and get her way. Her normal voice was not much better. When she spoke her face was less appealing as she appeared to be in pain or something. Abby is straight up mean.......mean to her so called friends, her family, strangers. She was equally a vicious human at heart.

Passing Nate while talking with her minions, Abby was put off by the fact that he was not paying any attention to her. She slowed her walk and spoke louder to her friends watching for the moment of his attention.

Nate completely paid her no mind. 'Humph!' She was cranky at this point and stomped off away from her followers whom seemed genuinely confused as to what upset her.

'Mission Complete', Nate thought. 'Like shooting fish in a barrel", laughing to himself.

Getting up from the bench he made his way back toward the other end of the campus satisfied with his progress. It will be only a matter of time before he is tracked down and made to pay attention to that spoiled little brat.

It was now midday and he could use a snack. Making his way toward the canteen he caught a glimps of Charlotte heading for lunch as well. Her sweet cadence as she happily talked while looking at the flowers along the path. Clearly she was happy as her eyes sparkled as she looked at the object of her attention............Evan.

"Evan! Fucking Evan! Why Evan!", Nate complained to himself quietly through his teeth. 'This is not happening!', He thought.

Nate then quickened his pace to catch up to the two. He stood on the right of Charlotte catching her gaze and smiling at her.

"Hi, Nate.", she said with a smile. His heart skipping a beat without her trying. "Where you headed, Charlotte?", he asked nicely.

Evan slowed his pace to be able to give a mean look to Nate behind Charlotte's back. "We are headed to the canteen. Have you eaten already?", she asked innocently.

Evan's eyes became colder while looking at Nate letting Nate know that he was not welcome.

Nate felt a chill when meeting Evan's stare then smirked and looked back at Charlotte's big eyes. "Nope! I wanted to go with you", Nate giving his best performance of innocence.

'What are you playing at Nate?' Evan thought.

Scarlette then turned to Evan her eyes full of kindness, "You don't mind if he joins us....do you?". She pulled at the cuff of her sweater waiting for Evan's reply.

"I don't mind if that is what you want, little rabbit", Evan said while sweeping charlotte's hair behind her ear. Charlotte blushed.

Turning toward Nate with a smile she said, "Well looks like we are in it together then". Facing forward continuing her path toward the canteen, the two men behind her were having it out.

Nate grinned at Evan mouthing 'Ha!' following it with a smirk.

Evan giving a death stare back to Nate. Evan mouthing 'Get lost'. Clutching his fists as he walked. The veins in his muscles beginning to bulge with his anger rising.

Nate stuck his tongue out in defiance infuriating Evan.

The back and forth continuing between the two stubborn males.

After walking along for a few minutes, Charlotte noticed how quiet it had become. She swiftly turned around facing them. They both straightened up quickly and provided her their attention. Charlotte raised her eyebrow and looked at them knowing they were doing something.

Evan and Nate looked around trying to look innocent only damning themselves more.

Evan cleared his throat saying, "We better get a move on".

Charlotte looked at them full of suspicion but did not challenge them and turned back around. As soon as her back was to them, Evan shoved Nate in the shoulder causing him to trip off the path landing halfway in a bush.

Evan then smiled and kept walking as Nate composed himself speeding up to regain his place next to Charlotte while brushing the reminents off of his clothes.

Walking into the Canteen they moved toward the line that had already formed in front of the counter. "What are going to have?", Charlotte asked them both. "Today is gimbap day! I am totally having that!", Charlotte announced. "Then cake!", she smiled happily to herself.

Evan half smiled at her childlike excitement. "Sweets for the sweet", He said while leaning over her casting his shadow over her.

Nate rolled his eyes. "I will have the same. After all, like he said sweets for the sweet and I am most definitely sweet", Nate said while wiggling his eyebrows up and down like a caterpillar while looking at Charlotte.

"Unbelievable!"' Evan remarked disguisted.

Across the Canteen there was someone observing this seen with anger in her eyes.

"Who the hell is she?!!! , Abby exlaimed while gritting her teeth. "Look at her. She is nothing special....you can tell she has no money. They must be taking pity on her." Abby said while looking at one of her minions.

She humphed up looking like an angry puffer fish as she stared down the group of friends now at the front of the Canteen Line. She decided then and there that she would not let this slide. No one ignores her. She always gets what she wants.
