Chapter 2
Katrina's POV
"You've been sleeping around with my sister?" I stated the obvious, my voice filled with disbelief, as I watched him carefreely move out of the bed and put on some shorts.
"How could you both betray me like this? Alicia, you're my twin sister, and Domnic, we're deeply in love with each other. If you had just told me you wanted me, I would have rushed here to be with you. So why my sister, out of all the werewolves in the world?" I questioned, my voice trembling with pain and confusion.
"Ugh, shut up already!" Alicia butted in, her frustration evident.
"How could you-" I began, only to be interrupted by her sharp voice.
"I said enough!" She yelled, her anger cutting through the air.
"I am pregnant. For Domnic. He's my mate," she announced bluntly, her words hitting me like a stone thrown at a glass house.
In just a few minutes, my whole world crumbled, and my sister and mate were responsible for this.
"I am pregnant. For Domnic. He's my mate," she repeated, her words echoing in my ears. I shivered, unable to comprehend the magnitude of the situation, as I turned my attention to my mate.
"She's joking, right? She can't be your mate," I stammered, desperately hoping that this was a nightmare that I will wake up from.
"She can't be your mate because I am. I am the Luna of the pack, and Domnic, we both felt the connection. You were in love with me too," I moved about aimlessly, my words pouring out like a desperate plea.
I knew I must have looked foolish, but in that moment, nothing mattered more than saving my relationship with Domnic.
"Get out of my room. You look so pitiful," Alicia spat out in a disgusted tone, dismissing me with a wave of her hand.
"D-... Domnic," I tried to call out to him, my voice trembling, as Alicia forcefully pushed me out of the room and claimed it as her own.
I expected Domnic to intervene, to defend our love, but instead, he wore a smug expression, seemingly pleased with how Alicia had driven me away.
I waited outside the door, tears streaming down my face, banging on it in desperation, but all I received was humiliation and defeat.
I could hear Alicia's moans and Domnic's grunts, and it was more than I could bear. I tried to block out the sounds, focusing on my pain as I sat by the door, crying my heart and soul out.
A part of me yearned for Domnic to feel remorse, to recognize the pain his true mate was enduring. Instead, it seemed they found amusement in my cries.
After a few hours had passed, I wiped away my tears and made a firm decision. I was going to seek a divorce.
Fiercely, I knocked on the door, and after a while, Domnic opened it, completely naked, with Alicia right beside him. I could see that they were still intimately connected, but I chose to look past that.
"I want a divorce, so you can be with my sister," I stated, my voice filled with determination.
I waited for a response, but neither of them uttered a single word. Suddenly, out of the blue, Domnic's laughter shattered the silence, mocking and demeaning.
"Dear Katina, or should I say, my little kitty, you seem to have forgotten that we are werewolves, not humans. Here, there is no such thing as a divorce. Remember?" he taunted, clearly intending to upset me.
However, I couldn't become any more unhappy than I already was. I turned away from the two cheaters, refusing to engage them any further.
I arrived at my father's place late, the darkness of the night enveloping me as I sought comfort at the family house.
Exhausted from crying and feeling utterly weary of life, I couldn't believe my own twin sister would treat me this way. Alicia had moved out of our parents' house a day before my marriage to Domnic.
Although she attended the wedding, she kept her distance from me.
Despite being twins, we had never been close, but I never expected her to do something like this.
As I entered my father's mansion, I spotted my mother in the living room. Upon seeing my miserable state, she hurriedly went upstairs to inform my father.
Taking a seat on the couch, I found myself facing them both. I knew they had numerous questions, but I had no intention of answering them all.
I would only provide an explanation of what had transpired and leave the rest for them to discover on their own.
"Dad, Mom, I'm getting a divorce," I announced. The shock on their faces was evident, and my father struggled to find the right words to ask what had happened.
However, there was no perfect way to phrase such a question, so I decided to initiate the conversation. I began explaining what happened in the past few hours.
As I recounted the details, their expressions revealed a mix of sympathy towards my situation and anger directed at Alicia.
I also confided in my father about my desire to divorce Domnic, only to discover that it wasn't within my control. This revelation left me even more distraught.
Domnic, being an Alpha, possessed the authority to dissolve the marriage, and I found myself trapped in a relationship I desperately wanted to escape.
Overwhelmed by these emotions, I left my father's mansion and went to a nearby bridge.
There, in the pouring rain, I allowed my pain to consume me. Tears had ceased to flow, leaving me in a state of emotional turmoil.
I was caught between conflicting feelings, uncertain of what to embrace and what to reject.
