The Alpha Twins
“Welcome to the Jupiter pack, Alpha Kevin and Alpha Kelvin," Zelda greeted them, her voice carrying an air of authority. "We hope you enjoy your evening. Please follow me to your table."
Zelda moved with confidence, guiding the twins through the bustling crowd. The aromas of delectable delicacies wafted through the air, tantalizing their senses. Molly and Elizabeth, awaited their arrival, ready to serve them drinks and offer an array of mouthwatering treats.
Kevin, with a stoic expression, surveyed the elegantly dressed she-wolves fluttering around the ballroom. Their coy glances and flirtatious movements did little to pique his interest. He had grown weary of these balls, where many sought his attention solely for his title and power. Deep down, his heart longed for a genuine connection, for their true Luna, to whom he could devote his unwavering loyalty.
Kelvin, on the other hand, relished the attention and affection lavished upon him. His eyes darted playfully from one potential companion to another, a mischievous grin tugging at his lips. Flirting with the she-wolves was his way of enjoying these events, seeking temporary solace in their company. Though his heart yearned for a deeper connection like his brother, Kelvin was content living in the moment, enjoying the thrill of each encounter.
Kevin, feeling the weight of disillusionment settle upon him, glanced at Kelvin, who seemed revel in the attention. He couldn't fathom how his brother was unfazed by the superficiality of it all. Yet, he respected Kelvin's choice, recognizing that each wolf had their own way of finding fulfillment.
As they reached their table, Zelda stepped aside, allowing Molly and Elizabeth to attend to their needs. The air buzzed with the melodious hum of conversations and the clinking of glasses. The twins settled into their chairs, their thoughts consumed by their longing for their destined Luna, their true soulmate.
"I despise these balls, Kelvin," Kevin muttered under his breath, his voice tinged with a touch of frustration. "All these she-wolves throwing themselves at me, seeking only my rank and not the connection I desire."
Kelvin's eyes sparkled mischievously as he smirked. "Come on, brother. Loosen up a little. It's not so bad. These she-wolves can offer some temporary distraction."
Kevin's gaze hardened, determination filling his eyes. "I am here for one reason, Kelvin. I am here for our mate, our true Luna. No one else can compare to the depth of connection we will have once we find her."
Molly's gaze couldn't help but linger on the twins, her admiration evident in her eyes. Their jet black hair, pushed back from their handsome faces, accentuated their sharp features and added an air of undeniable allure. Dressed impeccably in smart suits that hugged their athletic frames, they exuded an aura of power and confidence.
But it was their piercing blue eyes that truly captivated her. Like pools of crystalline water, they held a depth of emotion and intensity that seemed to reveal secrets and hidden desires. In those eyes, Molly saw glimpses of vulnerability and determination, a testament to their roles as Alpha leaders and their unwavering pursuit of their true mate.
“I forgot the desserts!” Elizabeth gasped quietly to Molly who nodded and hurried to retrieve them from the kitchen. She did not realise that Olivia had followed her until she grabbed her by the shoulder.
“I noticed the way you looked at the Alpha twins, be assured, you will never be lucky enough to fall into their vision.” Olivia shoved Molly into the wall and laughed as she ran back out, leaving Molly alone.
Molly felt her heart sink as Olivia's words cut through her like a sharp blade. The laughter that followed only added to her despair. She had suspected that her admiration for the twins had not gone unnoticed, but to have it thrown in her face with such disdain left her feeling exposed and humiliated.
As an omega, she was all too aware of her place in the pack hierarchy. Lowest of the low, her role was limited to serving and supporting those above her. She had never dared to dream of being anything more than that. To even entertain the idea of catching the attention of the alpha twins seemed like a foolish fantasy.
Tears threatened to spill from Molly's eyes, but she quickly fought to regain her composure. She refused to let Olivia's cruel words break her spirit. With a deep breath, Molly pushed aside the hurt and reminded herself of her purpose here.
When she came back to the table, she noticed how Olivia had worked quickly to get to the Alpha twins, laughing dramatically at their jokes while Elizabeth stood on the sidelines waiting on them hand and foot.
“Shes so desperate.” Elizabeth mumbled to Molly causing her face to twist into a frown.
.Molly couldn't help but feel a flicker of bitterness as she observed Olivia's swift maneuvering to gain the twins' attention. It seemed unfair how effortlessly Olivia charmed her way into their inner circle, while Molly was left to observe from the fringes.
As the night wore on, Molly watched Olivia continue her calculated play for the alphas' attention. She couldn't help but wonder if it was genuine or merely a ploy to boost her own status within the pack. Molly knew that the alpha twins were powerful and influential, and Olivia sought to align herself with that power.
In that moment, a surge of unexpected connection passed between Molly and Alpha Kevin. Their eyes met, and Molly felt a strange jolt of familiarity, as if they had crossed paths before. There was something different about him compared to his twin brother, Alpha Kelvin.
Kevin's gaze held a mixture of curiosity and intrigue, as if he sensed there was more to Molly than met the eye. For a split second, Molly allowed herself to imagine that he saw her as an equal - not just an omega, but someone with strengths and depths that hadn't been fully explored.
Breaking the silent connection, Molly quickly averted her eyes, a blush creeping onto her cheeks. She couldn't risk dwelling too much on the moment, unsure if it was simply a fleeting coincidence or something more significant. The pack dynamics were complex, and Molly knew better than to entertain such thoughts.
“MATE!”
