Chapter VI
Maria:
I didn't know whether to help him or leave, especially since I don't know when he might transform into a werewolf again. I'm afraid to take him to the village and have it happen again.
On second thought, I think it would be better if I left, especially since I didn't know what might happen if he woke up. Unfortunately, my plans would be delayed because as soon as I moved my leg to leave, I heard the young man groan, and I stayed still.
He was lying face down, and the wound I made on his arm had regenerated, which left me impressed. But what is he, after all? Is he just a werewolf, or something more?
He turns to lie on his back, and my face turns red. He has a body full of muscles, not very defined, but enough to show good physical development. What impressed me was the mark he had on his stomach. It looked like a magical circle and was glowing crimson, the same color as the moon at that moment. I look at the moon, which was present and also shining. But what does this mean?
I look back at the young man, and he's slowly opening his eyes, and that magical circle mark gradually disappears. What does all this mean?
Suddenly, he looks at me, and I get scared because I don't know what might happen next.
"You..." he spoke almost quietly, which I couldn't hear. I decided to approach. I was still scared, and I felt my face turn even redder as I got closer to him. What is this sensation I'm feeling? I can't stop looking at him.
"Where am I...? I can't... remember anything," the young man said. I was still looking at him, not knowing what to say, until he focused on me while trying to make sense of the crimson moon.
"Who are you...?" he asked. He seemed tired, weak in his body. I couldn't leave him here. There was a risk of some wild animal getting him.
"I... well..." I didn't know if it would be a good idea to tell him he was a werewolf. For now, it would be better to keep that hidden. He doesn't seem to remember anything.
"Do you... live nearby...?" he inquired. I nodded slowly, and he gave a relieved smile, as if I were his savior. I didn't understand what was happening anymore, but I believe it's to help him, especially since he was feeling weak at that moment.
"What's your... name?" the young man asked as he tried to sit up. I decided to help him and placed my hand on his back while the other was on his chest. I could feel his heart racing, and I blushed.
"I'm Maria," I replied, moving my hands away from him. He smiled at me and responded, "I'm Alex."
I noticed he had an accent, not from the Amazon. Where did he come from?
"You're not from here, are you?" I asked.
"No, I'm from Rio Grande do Sul," he replied. "I was here to... well..."
"Mining?" I asked.
"No, I just wanted to... visit a relative who lives in the Amazon, but I think I got lost because I haven't been here in a long time."
"I understand," I said with a smile. I confess I liked Alex; he seemed like a good person. However, I didn't like it when he transformed into a werewolf. I'm afraid that it might happen again, but until then, I'll stay alert.
Alex was about to fall, and that snapped me out of my thoughts. I quickly caught him, preventing him from falling.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"No," he replied. "I feel dizzy, and..."
"Don't worry. I'll take you with me. I live nearby. I'll take care of you."
I didn't have much choice. Alex needed care, and I would do that. Maybe, when he recovers, he can visit his relative. But what surprises me is the cause of his transformation into a werewolf. He's a person full of mysteries; that's a fact. But I believe I will be able to unravel these mysteries no matter what. Until then, I'll help him in any way I can. Even though I'm afraid he might transform into a werewolf again, I'll be prepared for that, but until then, I know I'll do my best to handle this situation.
Alex
My name is Alex, I'm 21 years old, and I live in Rio Grande do Sul.
There is a specific reason why I traveled to the Amazon, but I don't think it's the right time to dwell on it deeply. That's because, thanks to this curse I have, I've lost many family members and friends, and I confess it's taking a toll on me.
Unfortunately, I ended up traveling during a period when the Crimson Moon was active. This caused me to transform into a werewolf, but I don't remember being in that forest. From what little I recall, I was hiking in a nearby region, but I don't know how I ended up here. I probably transformed, and I don't remember anything more.
When I returned to normal, I found myself face to face with a young woman. She appears to be around my age, and she's incredibly beautiful. Her short hair reaches her shoulders, she has tanned skin, and she's wearing typical Amazon attire. I noticed she had a silver blade in her hand, a flashlight, and a camera hanging from her neck. Is she a hunter? Judging by her appearance, she doesn't seem like one. In fact, she seems like an innocent person. If I harmed her, I won't forgive myself anytime soon.
She offered to help me when I felt weak, and I'm grateful for her assistance. Her name is Maria. It's a common name in our country, but at the same time, it's beautiful.
Now, she's taking me to her place. I just hope people don't think poorly of us, but I won't lie that if the opportunity arose for us to be together, I would love that.
