Chapter 1 Crashing the Wedding?

A sharp dagger was yanked out of Cecilia Lockhart's heart.

Blood splattered all over the handsome face of her husband, Dominic Kingsley, who the world admired. His ruthless side was on full display. He smiled indifferently, as if he wasn't staring at the wife who had silently supported him for a decade.

"Cecilia, I never loved you. I'm even sick of your body. You know, Lyra is a hundred times more exciting in bed than you. You're like a corpse, cold and stiff..." Dominic's cruel words sent chills down her spine.

Cecilia didn't cry or make a scene. Her good upbringing from a young age helped her endure the excruciating pain in silence.

Dominic continued, "Don't you love me? Then sacrifice yourself for me and Lyra. I'll be grateful to you!"

Cecilia died with her eyes wide open, vowing to etch this man's cruelty deep into her bones.

They had been married for ten years, childhood sweethearts, and a perfect match. But she never imagined Dominic would one day kill her with his own hands, using the massacre of the Lockhart family as a wedding gift for his beloved!

Cecilia had been exceptionally intelligent since childhood, excelling in all arts. After marrying Dominic at the age of 22, she set aside her brilliance, dutifully played the role of a wife, giving up everything to fully support him in his rise from a wealthy family to nobility.

Fortunately, fate had other plans for her!

She was reborn.

Reborn ten years earlier, back to the time before she got married, in a car accident. Cecilia bit her lip as she gazed at the man who had crashed into her car.

Alaric Whitaker, head of one of the four great families of the Yakurosean Empire, had a stunning appearance and perfect physique, making him the most handsome man in Serenovia city. Yet, he was also known as the city's most notorious playboy. He was infamous for his hedonism, promiscuity, and lavish lifestyle. But in her previous life, Dominic could never outmatch him!

"Ms. Lockhart, are you into me?" Alaric glanced at Cecilia.

His magnetic voice was clearly teasing, yet Cecilia found it inexplicably pleasant.

"Yes," she snapped back to reality and admitted.

Her best friend Seraphina Everhart shouted excitedly, "Cecilia, did you hit your head just now?"

A fleeting emotion crossed Alaric's eyes, but he remained indifferent.

"Do you know who he is? He's a total scumbag," Seraphina yelled at Cecilia. "He's got nothing but looks and a knack for seducing women. He's good for nothing else, and you say you're interested in him?"

In truth, she had been totally blind to love Dominic, that deceitful hypocrite!

Early this morning, they had gone to Lumina Mountain to pray. On their way back down, they collided with a red sports car.

Both cars were slightly damaged, and no one was hurt.

But because of this, she was reborn!

Cecilia didn't answer Seraphina. She just stared straight at Alaric and asked, "Do you have the guts to crash the wedding?"

"Cecilia!" Seraphina was even more unsettled. What was going on with Cecilia? Alaric was handsome, but he was also a douchebag.

"On the 18th of next month, I'm getting married. Will you come?" Cecilia enunciated each word clearly.

Alaric looked back at Cecilia, as if digesting her words. Slowly, he said indifferently, "Ms. Lockhart, you must have really hit her head. You should get it checked out." He nonchalantly took a card from his pocket and handed it over, "I'll pay for it."

Cecilia saw it was a black card. Quite generous, no wonder the women who'd been with him had been fruitful. She took it and said, "I'll consider this a wedding gift."

A hint of surprise flashed in Alaric's eyes. Cecilia was known for being virtuous, disciplined, and well-mannered. She never had any dealings with playboys and was solely focused on marrying Dominic.

Seraphina stood by, wide-eyed and speechless with shock.

Alaric lightly pressed his lips together and smiled meaningfully, hiding his true feelings behind it.

"Just come to the wedding, and I'll leave with you," Cecilia said.

In her previous life, on the night before her wedding to Dominic, she received a call at 4 A.M. from an unknown number.

"Tomorrow, I'll crash the wedding. Will you come with me?"

"Who are you?"

"Dominic is not a good man."

Then the call was abruptly ended.

Later, she accidentally found out that the call was from Alaric. Back then, she had no interactions with him and dismissed it as unimportant. It wasn't until the end of her previous life that she understood why Alaric had warned her that Dominic wasn't a good man.

In her previous life, Alaric didn't attend the wedding. But in this life, whether Alaric came or not, she would never marry Dominic again! If he did come, it would only serve as a perfect opportunity to exact revenge on Dominic!

She turned and left directly. Seraphina quickly followed Cecilia back to their car.

Alaric watched the car drive away. After a long while, he suddenly smiled. This Ms. Lockhart was indeed very interesting, no wonder all the men were vying to marry her.

In the car, Seraphina looked at the calm Cecilia and couldn't help but ask, "Did you really hit your head? Why would you ask Alaric to crash the wedding?"

"Do I look like I'm not clear-headed?" Cecilia glanced at Seraphina while driving.

She remembered the moment before the car accident in her previous life, when Dominic had stabbed her heart with a sharp dagger.

"What about Dominic? Your wedding is the talk of the whole city. If you cheat before the wedding, what will he do?" Seraphina worriedly pondered.

Cecilia sneered. If he didn't know what to do now, did he consider her feelings when he was all naked and tangled up with another woman in front of her, had he ever considered what she would do?

She gritted her teeth and cursed, "He doesn't deserve to be a man!"
