Chapter 4
Ashina's POV
"Go away!" He forcefully pushed me away and left.
I felt relieved that he didn't lay a hand on me.
As i looked around, i realized i was in his room. I couldn't believe the Alpha prince had chosen me as his companion for the evening.
Initially, i was pleased and flattered when I was escorted into the palace, but what i had envisioned about him was far from reality.
"He's cold, aloof, and, above all, a coward. My wolf sensed a strong connection too when our skin touched, but i chose not to reveal it, as he appeared hesitant, unlike his wolf.
His cowardice became evident when he failed to mark an omega like me, deeming him a spineless alpha.
Suddenly, the creaking of the door echoed, and my anxiety surged once more as Dante returned with a furrowed brow. I could tell he was angry."
I sat on my bed, seemingly waiting for him.
"Why are you still awake? Do you think I'm going to mate with you tonight?" He asked sarcastically.
My gaze met his with unwavering confidence, seemingly unafraid.
He moved closer and gently lifted my chin with his dominant hand.
"How dare you give me that look?" He demanded, his eyes commanding my response.
"Why , are you afraid that I am your mate?
Do you think I'm dumb because I am an omega?" I asked him, without batting an eyelid.
He quickly released his hands from my grip.
I believed he felt the same way – the bond between our wolves.
If you dare reject me, I will report you for rejecting me to your pack inside the kingdom, i stated matter of factly.
He set a smirk on his face while staring at me, finding me incredulous. He glared at me.
"So, you know.
Yes, I am your mate, but I, Dante , the future Alpha King of Moonshadow Pack reject you, Ashina Miller , as my mate, and future Luna.
Do you accept my rejection?" He asked me, awaiting a response from me..
I and my wolf felt deeply hurt. Accepting rejection, especially from a newfound mate, was challenging. I held back my tears and forced a smile.
I, Ashina Miller , accept your rejection as your mate, and future Luna.
"Just release me, and I promise not to disclose our agreement to your pack members," i pleaded.
He leaned in closer, gently cupping my chin.
"No, my decision is final. You can either inform them and have your mother and your brother killed, or agree to become my slave forever," he declared, his menacing gaze locking onto me as his red eyes emerged, sending shivers down my spine.
Terrified, I fled from him, resembling a frightened child avoiding a snake.
"Who are you? You're far from ordinary. Moonshadows may have red eyes, but nothing like yours!" I remarked, and he sneered.
"Yes, I am a creature of darkness, a demon feared by all. Henceforth, you shall be my subordinate, my follower. You will adhere to my every command, understood?"
He shouted at me, leaving me with no choice but to nod.
"Very well. Do as you wish, but spare my family!" I implored.
My sole desire was to safeguard my mother, Layla , and my brother, Maverick . By complying with him, I hoped to shield my family from harm.
Dante burst into laughter, triumphant at his victory. He made his way to the bed, shedding his princely robes, leaving only a small garment to cover himself.
My eyes widened as i gazed upon his form, he was nothing short of handsome, a gift from the heavens.
Dante stretched his arms above his head, waiting for me. I felt a surge of anxiety on my first night sharing a bed with a man. My heart pounded in my chest like a drumbeat.
"What are you waiting for? Come here, and let's sleep!" he called out to me.
I was unsure of what to do; my body trembled, and my legs felt weak as if turned to jelly.
"Wait, I need to take a shower first," i said, and Dante smirked secretly.
"Actually, if I fall asleep before you're done, just come and sleep beside me," he told me, and i felt relieved that he wouldn't do anything to me.
I stepped into the bathroom and slowly let my dress fall to the floor. Turning the shower handle, I allowed the cold water to cascade over my hair and body.
I couldn't help but anticipate what would happen after tonight. I would become his servant for the rest of my life, and my fairy tale dreams would remain only as memories.
I had thought he was my knight in shining armor, but perhaps my expectations had blinded me. If I could turn back the hands of time, maybe I wouldn't have attended the ball.
Staring through the bathroom window, I noticed that some of my fellow Rogues had been captured during the birthday party. Their weary faces betrayed the torment they had endured, subjected to brutal enslavement.
Among the captured, I spotted my friend Yifa, being forcibly led away by a guard with a rope around her neck.
In that fleeting moment, I contemplated rushing out to confront the guard, but the weight of my mission and the safety of my family held me back.
The anguish of being unable to help my friends tormented me, shattering my heart into pieces. I longed to exact revenge on every member of the Dark Moon Pack, even my birth mother, Queen Aurelia.
Our pack lived a peaceful life far from the highest ranks, so why did they have to disrupt our happiness?
Rogues may have been born weak, but I refused to accept it.
I was determined to show them all that an omega werewolf could be both powerful and formidable.
I suddenly fixed my gaze on the mirror, where my golden eyes stared back at me.
"These were no ordinary omega eyes; they were the eyes of a beast.
