Chapter 2 I Want to Marry You

Laura was shocked, spraying a mouthful of wine. "What?"

Cassie stared at Joseph intently. "Since I can't become the Lewis Family's daughter-in-law, then I'll be Arthur's aunt."

She just wanted to disgust Arthur and Olivia.

Laura wiped her mouth and looked at Cassie, who suddenly became spirited, giving her a thumbs up. "I support it! He's more handsome than Arthur! And he's also better off in terms of money and power compared to the Lewis Family. Find someone with better conditions than your family, so that your position in the Brooks Group will be secure in the future. Otherwise, you will be more and more inferior to Olivia!"

Cassie was taken aback, but thought it made some sense. Laura really had foresight.

If Olivia became the Lewis Family's daughter-in-law, the Brooks Group wouldn't have much to do with Cassie.

"Alright, I'll go flirt with him now!" Cassie directly grabbed Laura's purse, took out her makeup, and started applying it.

Laura teased with a wink, "Are you sure you can handle him?"

"It's just a man. Cross your fingers." Cassie tossed her hair, held a half-full glass of red wine, swayed her waist with a hint of intoxication and a glamorous face, and walked over.

"Hi, excuse me, can you tell me what time it is?" She lightly tapped his shoulder twice with her finger.

Joseph opened his slightly drunk eyes.

Cassie's mind blanked for a few seconds, and she revealed a beautiful smile, speaking softly, "It's fate that we can meet here."

Joseph furrowed and coldly said, "I'm not a doctor; I can't handle patients."

Cassie's smile froze.

"Nuts." Joseph's sexy, thin lips moved slightly, his words sharp and cutting.

At that moment, Cassie felt awkward.

Couldn't even such beauty tempt him?

She said, "I do have an illness, but it's not a mental illness, it's lovesickness. I just contracted it."

Joseph's handsome eyebrows raised slightly.

Cassie quickly said, "Seeing you makes me happy. That's my condition."

"Alright, I get it; you can leave now." Joseph still looked indifferent, ignoring her.

Cassie was deeply struck.

Even with all her charms, she was being ignored like this. She was recognized as the most beautiful socialite in Silverwood. She really wanted to leave, but thinking of Arthur and Olivia, she felt she must become Arthur's aunt.

Gathering her courage, she said, "Can you leave me a contact?

"What's your name?

"You're so handsome, I can't resist."

Joseph, originally lounging on the sofa with his eyes closed, was annoyed by these shameless words. He opened his eyes and asked impatiently, "What do you want?"

"I want to marry you," Cassie blurted out without thinking.

Joseph's mouth twitched. He rubbed his forehead and looked at her strangely.

Cassie stood her ground without flinching.

"I'm Cassie, 22 years old, and I just graduated from Silverwood University. I can cook, and I'm healthy, capable, considerate, and have no bad habits. Most importantly..." she looked at him confidently. “With a beautiful wife like me, you will be the envy of all men."

After saying these words, she carefully observed Joseph's expression, thinking to herself, 'Will I scare him off?'

Joseph fell silent.

Just as Cassie felt like she was sitting on pins and needles, a sense of loss washing over her, she suddenly felt her body lighten.

At the same time, there was a burst of exclamations around her, as Joseph unexpectedly swept her up in his arms and swiftly carried her out of the bar.

His clear and firm voice came from above Cassie's head. "Alright, I agree!"
