Chapter 3 Heavy Breathing

At the bar entrance, a car slowly pulled up.

Joseph carried the still-dazed Cassie into the back seat, unbuttoning the two buttons on her blouse, lazily leaning back on the leather seat. "You can still regret it now."

Nathaniel Garcia glanced in surprise at the rearview mirror. ‘Was Joseph asking the woman in his arms?’

Cassie blinked, clearly taken aback by this sudden turn of events.

She gathered herself and blurted out, "I want to marry you."

Joseph raised an eyebrow, wrapping his arm around Cassie's waist. "To The Emerald Bay."

Nathaniel smoothly drove the car to a stop below The Emerald Bay, respectfully reminding Joseph before looking at Cassie in his arms.

Cassie's blushing face looked so pure, the alcohol hitting her as she let Joseph carry her out of the car and up the stairs.

The sound of the door opening after the password input created an ambiguous atmosphere, and the dim night light inside added to the atmosphere.

Joseph held Cassie's slender waist, pressing her against the cold wall, passionately kissing her warm lips. At the same time, his hand reached for her sensual breasts, teasing her sensitive nipples through the fabric.

Cassie let out a muffled moan, involuntarily squeezing her legs together, feeling her lower body getting wet.

Joseph's other hand wandered near her slender thighs, fingertips moving around as if playing the piano, daringly teasing her erogenous zones. Soon, a wave of pleasure washed over her, her body tingling, and love juices flowing, wetting Joseph's fingers.

"You're this excited?" Joseph chuckled softly, withdrawing his hand, sliding the fingers covered in love juices into her clothes, deliberately smearing the love juices on her nipples, bending down to suck on it lightly.

Cassie instantly relaxed her body, holding him tighter, feeling the intense pleasure he brought her.

Rolling onto the sofa, he lifted her legs on either side, leaning forward, his penis touching her vaginal opening.

Cassie leaned against the man's shoulder, whispering, "Arthur!"

All intimacy abruptly stopped, leaving only the sound of heavy breathing, which felt extremely stifling and painful.

After a soft click, the lights came on.

The bright light forced Cassie to open her drunken eyes, looking dazedly at Joseph's face.

He got up and looked at her with deep eyes, her eyes watery and enticing. He sighed, threw a blanket over her, and went straight into the bathroom.

The already drunk Cassie couldn't make sense of the situation, rolled over, and fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning, a ray of sunlight shone through the curtains, and Cassie woke up feeling a headache, the aftermath of indulging in alcohol. The memories of last night suddenly flooded back, but only up to Joseph asking her if she regretted it, and then she couldn't remember anything else.

On the bedside table was a note: [If you want to get married, then get ready and come to the Civil Affairs Bureau at 10 a.m..]

The room was empty except for her. The house was decorated in a simple and stylish fashion, mostly in black, white, and gray. It looked good but also lonely, and not much money was spent on decoration.

Was this really Arthur's uncle's house?

Cassie looked at the note in her hand, took a deep breath, and smiled bitterly.

She quickly picked up the clothes she had thrown on the floor last night, put them on, and left as if she had made a big decision.

She hailed a taxi straight to the Brooks Family.

On the way, Cassie saw several messages from Arthur on her phone.

Arthur: [Cassie, are you okay?]

Arthur: [Cassie, you may not be aware that the Brooks Family has decided to transfer 80% of the company's shares to Olivia in the future.]

Cassie was shocked to see this, and in an instant, she understood everything.

Arthur was George's illegitimate son outside, and only with the support of the Brooks Family could he inherit the family business.

Arthur: [Some things are doomed to beyond my control with my background. Wait for me for three years; time will prove my feelings for you.]

Seeing this, Cassie was almost infuriated. She had been asked to spend the best years of her life waiting, and he still had the nerve to say that.

With tears in her eyes, Cassie turned off her phone and threw it into her bag.

When she arrived at the Brooks Family, she found Robert had already gone to work.

She rushed upstairs to get the documents needed for marriage, and as she walked into the living room, she came face to face with Olivia, holding a stack of records coming out of the study.
