Chapter 6 How much is this?

George shook his head and sneered, "Daisy, you're not qualified to lick my toes. You better go back and lick this fatso's toes instead. Maybe if he's pleased, he'll buy you a piece of junk worth 2,000 bucks." "You..." Daisy was about to explode with anger.

The fatso finally caught up with Daisy and was planning to charm her into bed tonight. But now, he couldn't bear George's contempt. "Kid, don't pretend to be a big shot when you're broke. Look at yourself in the mirror before you act high and mighty. Can you afford this 30 million necklace? Do you think it's only 3,000 bucks?" "If I can afford it, what about you? Will you buy one too?" George was determined to buy it. He owed Lily too much in these past ten months. Buying a 30 million necklace would make her happy and show her that he had the ability to protect her.

The fatso angrily retorted, "Where did this idiot come from, talking nonsense? Daisy, how do you know this kind of jerk? Talking to him downgrades your taste." George coldly smirked, "Just say you don't have money. Why make excuses for yourself? I won't give you a hard time. After all, there's only one Heart of Ocean, which is only suitable for my wife to wear. If your girlfriend wears it, she would just be a monkey trying to look noble. You can buy the one next to it, three million. Dare to bet?" "Tsk, who are you trying to scare? Fine, let's bet. But what if you can't afford it?" the fatso arrogantly challenged.

George hadn't spoken yet but Daisy interjected, "If you can't afford it, then kneel down and lick the soles of my feet and call me 'mom' three times!" George coldly stared at her and said, "Let's bet!" They asked a salesperson casually and found out that they could buy Heart of Ocean on the third floor. The three of them quickly made their way to the third floor and found the counter. To their surprise, the person in charge of this necklace was an acquaintance. Lily's best friend, Johnson. "What? You want to buy Heart of Ocean? Are you insane?" After hearing that, Johnson looked at George with disdain and couldn't contain his anger. "George, I honestly don't know what qualifications you have left to keep dragging Lily along. If you still consider yourself a man, immediately divorce Lily and stop burdening her. Do you know what just happened? Lily came to me just now and sold both of your wedding rings just to gather 500,000 for your mother's medical expenses. And now, you're saying you want to buy a 30 million Heart of Ocean..."

Mr. Ocean, do you think I'm an idiot to believe you?"

George knew that encountering her would never end well because he was always mocked and ridiculed by her.

Daisy and the fatty next to them burst into laughter.

Daisy said, "George, did you hear that? Your wife even sold her wedding ring. And yet, you're here pretending to be someone important? If you can't afford it, you just can't. Get down on your knees, lick the soles of my feet, and call me 'mom' three times!"

After saying that, she took off her shoes and extended her foot.

George didn't even look at her and said to Johnson, "What if I can afford it?"

Johnson replied angrily, "If you can afford it, then I'll kneel down and call you 'dad'!"

"Crack!"

George threw his credit card.

"Swipe it!"

Johnson picked up the credit card and smashed it against George, angrily saying, "Will you ever stop? Don't come here and disrupt my work. I know exactly how much money George have. Don't even mention a three-million-dollar piece of jewelry—I don't think you can even afford three thousand!"

"If you don't leave, I'll have security throw you out."

George furrowed his brow. "I came to buy something. Johnson, do you not want to work anymore?"

With a wave of his hand, Johnson signaled for the two security guards who had already noticed the commotion to rush over.

One guard asked, "What's going on, Team Leader Song?"

Johnson said, "This guy is causing trouble here. Get him out."

With a stern face, George said, "Johnson, don't lose all your dignity. I came here to buy something, not cause trouble. If your boss finds out about your attitude, do you think you can still keep your job? Aren't you afraid of my complaint?"

Staring at him, Johnson retorted, "Fine then! If you want to buy the Heart of the Ocean, you need the Starry Jewelry's premium membership card or the Fonda Group's star-level membership card. Show me either of them, and I'll sell it to you."

"The Fonda Group?"

George was momentarily stunned.

One of the security guards said, "That's right. Starry Jewelry is under the Fonda Group. If you dare cause trouble here, you had better consider the consequences."

George frowned. He indeed didn't have a membership card.

Daisy mocked, "What now? Feeling dumbfounded? Will you kneel down and lick our feet? This is Fonda Group's territory. If you dare to dispute the payment, that means you're offending Marc. Think about it."

George said, "Give me a few minutes."

He took out his phone and dialed Marc's number, directly saying, "I'm at Starry Jewelry, and I want to buy a Heart of the Ocean, but I don't have a membership card to make the purchase."

Immediately, Marc said, "Sir, please wait two minutes."

"Okay, I'll handle it right away," the man said eagerly over the phone.

George glanced at the crowd and said, "Wait for two minutes."

Johnson smirked, "Alright, I'll give you two minutes. Let's see what tricks you have up your sleeve. If you're intentionally causing trouble, let me tell you, you won't leave without a beating today."

However, before two minutes had passed, a middle-aged man hurriedly approached.

As soon as Johnson and the two security guards saw him, they immediately showed their respects.

They exclaimed, "Mr. Trump, hello!"

It turned out that he was Mr. Trump, the general manager of Starry Jewelry.

Thinking that Mr. Trump had come to address the commotion, Johnson quickly pointed at George and said, "Mr. Trump, this guy came here and caused trouble. He doesn't have a membership card, but he insists on buying our flagship item, the Heart of Ocean. I'll have the security guards escort him out right now."

Without saying a word, Mr. Trump slapped Johnson across the face.

"You're talking nonsense!"

"He is the most esteemed VIP of Starry Jewelry!"

What?

Everyone was instantly shocked and speechless.

Johnson, covering his face, was completely confused.

Mr. Trump approached George and respectfully said, "Master Harold, I apologize for being late."

George looked at him and asked, "So, can I buy this Heart of Ocean now?"

Mr. Trump bowed and said, "Of course you can. Oh no, if Master Harold likes this necklace, just take it without spending a penny."

"Huh?"

Daisy was dumbfounded.

She looked at George, then at the Heart of Ocean, her eyes filled with envy and longing.

A necklace that is worth thirty million, is simply given away for free.

Why is this happening?

Wasn't George already considered penniless? What makes him eligible for Starry Jewelry to gift such a valuable item?

"No need, I'll buy it myself!"

George tossed a black bank card and threw it to Johnson.

"Swipe the card!"

"Remember what you said earlier. Once I purchase it, I am your father from now on!"

Johnson, holding the bank card, had an unpleasant expression on his face.

George then pointed at Daisy and the fat man and said to Mr. Trump, "And these two, they made a bet with me earlier. If I buy the Heart of Ocean, they will buy the three-million necklace on the billboard. A bet is a bet, Marc's face is at stake."

The security guards subtly blocked the path of the two individuals.

One minute later.

"When Johnson handed the bank card back to George, his fingers were trembling slightly. Thirty million, it actually went through successfully. How much money does this card really have?"
