Chapter 7 Calling him Dad
Johnson was amazed. Unfortunately, her device couldn't display the remaining balance. What was even more puzzling was why Mr. Trump valued him so much, calling him a VIP supreme, while Starry Jewelry didn't seem to have a supreme card.
She couldn't understand why there was such a huge turnaround for someone like him who was just a worthless nanny, sponging off the Willow family. It should be noted that there were times when George even poured foot-washing water for her!
Daisy shouted, "Impossible, impossible, definitely impossible! It must be a malfunction in the machine. How could this useless freeloader have thirty million? He couldn't even come up with three thousand! Check it quickly!" Mr. Trump glared fiercely at Daisy and said, "So you're saying that you're not going to honor your debt on my Fonda group's territory? You even dare to curse Master Harold? You're truly courting death! Take her down, men!"
The Fonda group was the top secret society in Riverdale, and its security guards were no ordinary people. With just a command, Daisy was pressed down on the counter and received a series of slaps. Her face swelled up like a pig's head.
The chubby guy beside her didn't dare to make a sound. "Chubby, don't forget about the three million worth of jewelry!" George reminded him. The chubby guy was almost in tears. Three million was not a small amount for him, but he could not afford to offend the Fonda group. He quickly said, "Okay, okay, I'll buy it right away."
Daisy's eyes flashed with excitement when she heard that. She had been browsing at the store for half a day and only bought a two-thousand-dollar bracelet. She wanted to buy a bangle, but the chubby guy refused, saying it had to wait until tonight.
Now they were directly buying three million worth of jewelry, and she had to thank George for that! However, as she reached out to receive the jewelry, the chubby guy pushed her away and said, "Get lost! Who said this was for you?"
Daisy shouted, "If you don't buy it for me, then who is it for?" The chubby guy replied, "I'm buying it for my mother. Does this explanation work for you? This will be our family heirloom in the future. You're not worthy of being my wife, you slut. What dreams could you possibly have?"
Daisy became furious and pounced on him, engaged in a fight. In the end, under Mr. Trump's command, they were all dragged and thrown out of the store. Johnson looked at George with a complex expression and couldn't help but ask, "I don't understand, how did you end up like this?"
"You have so much money, enough to casually buy jewelry worth 30 million, but you still made Mu Yan sell her engagement ring for your mother. Have you been deceiving her all these years, deceiving her emotions?"
George said, "You wouldn't understand my situation."
Then he continued, "Bring out the wedding ring!"
Mr. Trump added, "Hurry up, stop wasting time! The young master asked you to bring it out, so do it quickly! Otherwise, you won't have a good outcome."
Johnson didn't dare to delay and quickly brought out the ring. He said, "According to company regulations, this diamond ring was purchased for 500,000. If you want to take it back, you need to purchase it at double the selling price, which will amount to one million."
Mr. Trump slapped Johnson's face again and scolded, "Double the price? Do you have a brain? What is Master Harold's identity? He is the big boss of our Fonda group. The entire Fonda group belongs to him. He doesn't need to pay for a measly ring."
This guy was very rude.
He didn't look like the manager of a jewelry store at all.
He must have been involved in the underground world before.
Johnson widened his eyes, suspecting if his ears were playing tricks on him. Did Mr. Trump just say that the entire Fonda group belongs to him? How could this be?
He wasn't a loser at all.
He was clearly a big shot who had been concealing his truth identity.
George said, "Alright, Mr. Trump, don't spread this matter everywhere. It won't be good for our reputation."
Mr. Trump immediately slapped himself, "I'm sorry, young master. It's my fault for not knowing how to behave. You can hit me however you like."
George was speechless.
Then he looked at Johnson and asked, "What did you just agree to?"
Johnson's expression froze.
Lowering his head in humiliation, he called out, "Father!"
George said, "Remember, my identity is something I don't want anyone else to know, including Mu Yan. So, everything you saw just now must stay buried in your heart, or else you won't be able to bear the consequences."
Johnson was well aware of the terrifying influence behind the Fonda group and quickly nodded in agreement.
Mr. Trump suggested, "Young master, why not...?"
He gestured at his neck.
Johnson's crotch suddenly felt hot, almost scaring him into wetting himself!
George said, "No need for that. She is my wife's best friend and currently my daughter. Give her a chance to work here and take care of her appropriately."
"Oh, then let her be the manager on the third floor. What do you think?"
"Suit yourself."
George casually carried millions worth of jewelry and with Johnson and Mr. Trump escorting him, they left Starry Jewelry. Johnson was still a bit dazed. Unexpectedly, his misfortune turned into an opportunity, and he was promoted to manager.
At this moment, he looked at George.
Mr. Trump saw George's gaze changed dramatically.
Just then, a Rolls-Royce Phantom appeared before his eyes.
The person who came was Fonda Marc.
Johnson, witnessing Marc's arrival, respectfully invited George into the car and drove away.
As they were inside the car, George said to Marc, "Marc, I have another favor to ask you."
Marc immediately replied, "Young master, just call me Old Slave or Old Horse. I dare not be addressed as Marc. I will do my best to do whatever the young master needs. Please tell me your instructions."
"There's a Mr. Reeze from the Fonda group. Do you know him? He recently signed a contract with my wife's company, Willows Building Materials. He tried to force my wife to sleep with him while we were at a party."
"Vile creature!"
Marc immediately got angry and said, "He even wants to lay hands on Madame. He's doomed. What's his full name?"
"I don't know. I only know his name is Mr. Reeze. Do you know anyone like that around you?"
"It seems like there isn't anyone surnamed Qin, but I'll investigate right away. I will definitely find out by tomorrow at the latest."
"Good. I'll wait for your update." George nodded and continued, "By the way, let's not publicize the fact that the Fonda group was founded by my father. Since we've always been hidden, let's continue to stay behind the scenes. Also, please don't address me as young master anymore. Just call me Mr. Lin."
Marc was taken aback for a moment, then nodded. "That sounds good. It's better to keep a low profile for your sake, sir. There are still many rivals of Fonda, and I'm afraid they might lead to trouble for you and Madame. When we are outside, I will call you Mr. Lin."
George's eyes flickered. He hadn't thought of this before.
Now that he thought about it, it was indeed necessary to keep a low profile.
Marc's name, to put it bluntly, was the leader of the biggest gang in Riverdale, and he lived a life full of danger and enemies.
Afterward, Marc took out a card. "This is the Fonda Group's Supreme VIP Card. All Fonda's subsidiaries are free for you. It will be convenient for you to have it and it can also help conceal your identity."
"Hmm! Then I'll take my leave!"
"Shall I accompany you, young master, to the Willow family?"
"Uh..."
George thought for a moment. He couldn't possibly go to the Willow family now. His mother-in-law would rather kill him herself. "Take me to a hotel, any hotel will do."
"Then let's go to The Grand Royale Hotel!"
"Is it necessary?"
That was the most expensive and luxurious hotel in Riverdale.
Marc smiled and said, "Young master, that is also your property!"
