Chapter 02.
Ayza
— Beach with white sand, blue and warm sea, a unique and passionate place; Look at this Picture! — Olga hands Lili the cell phone, I twist in my chair and look at what Lili is watching, it's a photo... And she looks stunning as always... — How cool! You look beautiful! — The only thing that comes out of Lili's lips.
— Thanks!
The look of satisfaction on Olga's face makes me feel a little jealous, I wish it were that easy for me to make money.
Olga continues to tell about her travels and about the guys she dates.
And as always, I stay there, lost in their conversation, without interacting with me, the only ones I say are: “Wow! Cool! Really ?!”
Olga takes another sip of her coffee and asks me expectantly.
— And you? How are things?
“It's all the same. Tell me about your travels. “I try not to be the focus.
— I am happy to share all this with you! — She says excitedly. "Tell me some more news." — She asks Lili.
“Next week I start at a dentist's office.
— I liked seeing it! — She says stuttering.
I frown and glare at Lili, as she hadn't told me this news.
I notice that Olga is staring behind me, I arch an eyebrow waiting for some answer, about what is going on.
“Look back. Discreetly. Finally, she speaks.
“A cute guy is looking at you. ’ She signals to me.
— Oh! No, thank you.
"But you haven't even seen him."
— Leave Ayza. — Lili defends me.
“Okay, I'll see.
I turn slowly to take a look and an interesting man is staring at me.
'But what does that have to do with it, Olga?'
"Find a guy!"
“This isn't for her. — Once again Lili intervenes.
— All good! What do you know?
— But look! There's another one! Look at this one. He is tall, dark, and handsome. Like in the movies.
— Okay, we can stop now, Olga, she's not interested.
— Oh friend. You need to start getting to know the people of the city more.
“I have other plans.
— All good. ’ Olga takes a sip of her dieth cappuccino. — Soon there's going to be a little social, at Brendo's house, shall we?
"What do you think, Ayza? "
“I'm tired, but I don't mind going home alone.
— He is sure?
— Yes.
We stay there for a few more minutes, the two go to the social kitchen and I'm still there, finishing my coffee.
I'm looking through the huge window of the coffee shop, when a black car stops, and a tall, dark man gets out, his hair is all combed back and his beard is unshaven, he extends one of his hands into the car and then, comes out a blonde, tall, green eyes, the same pattern as Olga's, even her clothes, she wears a super elegant red dress and a fur coat in black, and that handsome man wears a leather jacket too in black, jeans.
The walk towards the coffee shop I'm at, and when I realize it, those hazel eyes are staring at me.
Shit! It's the guy from the airport. He's the sexiest guy I've ever seen. I feel my face flush and I look away.
As soon as they pass through the cafeteria door, once again our eyes meet. He made me so embarrassed, it seems he can see into my soul. He appears to be an icy, cold man.
I pay my bill and leave in a hurry.
I go back to Lili's house, take a shower and fall into bed.
Sometime later Lili enters my room.
"Help me pack my suitcase."
— Like this? — I sit on the bed without understanding anything.
"I have a convection tomorrow."
— I had forgotten?
— I didn't know, my father just sent me a message. — Lili lays down on my bed. — Damn it!
— What time do you leave tomorrow?
— At 6 o'clock.
I pick up my phone and look at the display, and it's past 1 am.
— Lili, have you seen what time it is?
— Yes. I won't be able to sleep.
"Let's pack your bag."
I take her by the arm and we head to her room.
— Ayza, you don't have to be like this, I'll be back in two weeks, it's just a convention. — Cool, my first day here, and Lili is going away and she didn't even tell me she was going to work with her dad. "My father said they're boring." — She argues and continues packing, looking completely despondent, the suitcase is already full, but she keeps putting more things.
"I don't think there's anything else there." — Lili stops and stares at me, and we finally laugh.
— I also think. — She agrees. “I wasn't upset.
— Look, I was upset because you didn't tell me you were going to work with your father. "I sit on your bed.
— Jealous of Olga? ’ Again she laughs. — You know I love you.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
“I didn't want you to be upset.
— No, of course, I wouldn't be, quite the contrary, you're in the area you've always wanted, not because the interviews didn't work out, that I'm not going to be happy for my best friend. — I do.
— You know that if you need it, I can get something from my father.
“I know, I just want to try it myself, for now.
— All good. Lily hugs me. "Thanks, go to sleep now."
"Don't you want me to take you to the airport?"
— No. You've already done too much. — We laughed.
I know she was referring to Olga.
— Good trip!
I wake up to the light coming from the window.
Shit! I forgot to close the curtains.
I get up, go to the bathroom, take a long shower, and wash my hair.
After drying my hair, I choose the clothes I'm going to wear, my cell phone vibrates, I look at the display and there's a message from an unknown number.
“It said I had an interview in two hours.”
