Chapter 04

I go to his bedroom door and stop. I take a deep breath and then comes the memory of him naked. I knock on the door before I change my mind.

He opens the door and I'm relieved and disappointed that he's dressed, I notice he's all sweaty.

— Yes? — He asks

“I don't think we got off to a good start.

— Like this?

“I'm not trying to sleep with you. — It was the only thing that came to my mind, then I feel my face crown and my face get hot.

My God! I can't believe I said that!

"How are we going to live in the same house?" — I pull myself together — I thought I'd introduce myself properly. My name is Ayza. I'm Lili's friend, I'm going to live here until my Ap. get ready, I think she forgot to tell.

As I choose the right words to say, Dylan stares at me.

I watch.

“I know who you are, and what you're doing here. He takes a deep breath. — I'm the owner of this house, of course I know who goes in and who comes out of it!

Wow! The gruff guy from the airport came back.

I don't say anything else, I just turn around and walk away.

I thought I could have a good relationship with the owner of the house, but I can see that not.

The next day, I'm sitting across from a man who silently flips through my resume, muttering to himself. I watch the vein pulsing in her neck.

This seems like it lasts for hours!

“I think you're a great person and I'd love to work with you in the future, but—” “Damn it! He will say no. “The only problem is that you don't have experience. Finally, he says with a smirk.

What the hell! No one gives me an opportunity, and they still demand experience other than the internship.

For what I did.

“Okay, I understand, thanks for your time.

It's a shame, but I won't let this interview put me off.

It's been a few minutes since I got home and decided to make some tea, I'm so discouraged that I can't get a job.

And I feel relieved to be alone.

— Damn it! I whisper to myself when Dylan walks into the kitchen, he's on the phone.

He doesn't seem to notice me, he's wearing a black suit, and his hair is the same as it was yesterday, slicked back, which makes it very sexy, so I grab my cell phone and my cup of tea and I go to the room.

I sit on the couch and remember what Brian said, I don't know if I want to go to work at my company and have to put up with my aunt.

She always goes there to ask my cousin for money.

— Sorry about yesterday. Dylan asks as he enters the room.

— All good.

Dylan just shrugs and again flashes that wonderful smile, it makes my heart flutter.

Stop it Ayza, you can't feel something like that for a stranger.

"Is everything okay between us then?" — He asks.

— Yes.

His eyes still linger on me, like he's thinking about something. Feeling myself blush from how uncomfortable I was.

— I am starving...

— What did you say? — I stammer.

"I think I'll go to the fair." Need something?

He is hungry for food. Hell yes, Ayza, and what else could it be?

"Hum, maybe a fruit salad?"

— Excellent! Get ready, we leave in ten minutes. — He looks in his Rolex. "Is ten minutes enough for you?"

What?! Did he just ask me to go to the fair? And that?

— Yes.

— Perfect.

Maybe living with him isn't so bad after all.

— You can ask!

— Ask what? "He ignores me.

— Is it Ayzy?

— No. It's Ayza!

— Oh yes. — He smiled. "I'll get my wallet and I'll be right back."

I take a deep breath and take my cup into the kitchen.

" Ayza, let's go!" — I feel a shiver run through my body when I hear that husky and sexy voice.

We just arrived at the fair, I didn't know that there were these things here, for most of my life, I lived on my grandparent's farm, and there was everything you could imagine of vegetables, greens, and fruits, that place was wonderful.

He looks closely at everything on display.

I take a mango.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing?"

Dylan asks me with a reproachful tone.

I look at him with an arched brow, waiting for an answer.

— No Ayza, you have to choose with patience, observe them, and feel their texture. He takes the sleeve from my hands and shows me the details. —You don't take the ones on top, but the ones behind.

— Ok sir. I say with an approving smile.

I take the mangoes that are deeper.

— These? ’ And he nods.

— Yes! Perfect.

He wears that irresistible smile, and all of a sudden, the slight irritation I was feeling earlier is gone. Like that beautiful smile, it affects me.

— Sorry. — A lady approaches us.

Automatically Dylan and I turned.

— Yes. “We answered together.

"Would you mind paying for me?"

The lady wears very old clothes, I notice that she is very humble.

— Clear.

“You are a very kind boy. She turns to leave but stops and smiles at us. — And if I may say so, you make a very beautiful couple.

I don't know what to say, I freeze looking at her.

“He's very charming. He says looking at me. — She is very beautiful. — He says looking at him.

“We're just colleagues. "Only thing I can say."

— Yes, we just decided to come to the fair. Dylan winks at the lady, and she smiles.

“Still, you two are beautiful together. — The lady gets red cheeks and nods and, goes towards the other corridor.

I feel butterflies in my belly.

"Until she's a cutie." “I try to break the ice.

— Cute? Dylan nods and we laugh.

“I'll get tomato and lemon and then we'll go.

— All good. — I get some more fruit for myself.

— Do you need anything else?

— No.

— I'll drop you off at home, I need to solve a small problem.

— I can walk. “It was close.

— No, I insist. He pauses and looks at me.

— You can ask.

— What? — He laughs. “You're the girl from the airport, aren't you?

— Yes. ’ And once again I feel my face flush. — Sorry.

"For what?"

"For calling you arrogant." — We laughed.
