Chapter 08.

Diego is my neighbor whenever his mom does something crazy in his apartment he runs over here

"Do you have a key?" "I'm just asking to clear the doubt."

"And you think not?" — Question. — Lili left a key in the potted plant by the door, she said I can use it every time my mom decides to purify the bare house!

— Naked? — Ayza asks stunned.

—Yes! We can say that my mother is very natural, there are days when she says that the house has negative energies and that she needs to light some incense in each room of our apartment, it gets worse when she decides to take off her clothes before she makes me do it the same I run here. "He makes a disgusted face. — Imagine me and my mother naked in the same room! Bizarre, isn't it?! When is Lili coming back?

And as usual, he doesn't pause between questions.

Ayza 's company. “It was getting late.

“But today is Saturday.

“I know, but duty calls. — I say.

"Are you coming back for lunch?" — Question.

— Perhaps! ’ I shrug.

"Want me to cook for you?" He arches one of his eyebrows waiting for the answer. “It's just that I'm not sure how long my mother's cleansing will take.

— I can help. — Ayza interrupts him.

— AND! I do and Ayza can help me, what do you think? Diego asks.

— Could it be? — I mentally thank Ayza for her help, not that Diego doesn't know how to cook, but because of the huge mess he makes.

"Thanks, Ayza ." Diego thank you. — I'm almost a chef, no better than Diego.

I smirk and leave.

*** Ayza. ***

Dy for five years, as soon as he calls him. He says his mother is a widow and retired, he works in IT, and most of the time his job is remote.

"Then what do you mean Dy has already cooked for you?"

— Not exactly. There was one time when my mother was doing her purifications, she was naked for a change, and I was starving. I ran over here, and Dylan had made a wonderful lasagna with white sauce, that's when I found out that he cooks better than a chef.

"Does he usually bring a lot of women here?" — I ask afraid of his answer.

— Look, Ayza, he brought one in particular, after a while he left and stayed away from here for about five months, without any news. I found out that he was fine after Lili came here.

"What do you know about Annie?" — I ask.

“I've never heard of her.

— Let's start lunch, will you help me? — I try to change the subject.

— Yes yes. What do you want me to do? — He says with a smile on his lips.

— Cut the tomato to make the sauce.

I take out my cell phone and put on some upbeat music for us to cook, it makes me forget about what happened last night with Dylan.

Diego cuts the tomato pieces with a certain calm, and I make the white sauce and cook the pasta.

— It's almost ready!

“It smells wonderful, Ayza.

"What a wonderful smell." a sexy voice sounds from the kitchen doorway.

I was so busy I couldn't even hear the door.

I turn down the sound on my cell phone.

"I'll set the table." — Diego speaks.

"Do you want me to help you?" — I ask.

“Of course, not Ay, you've done most of it.

When Diego leaves, Dylan comes over and tastes the sauce on top of the stove, he makes a face.

— It's not good?

"Didn't you try it?"

— No! —I say.

It must look awful from the face he made.

Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!

— I'm kidding Ay, it's delicious! He looks at me and smiles. "You don't have to look at me like that."

Before I can answer he gives me a long peck.

— Cough, Cough. — Diego is at the kitchen door coughing, or at least trying to. — Is ready. Let's go.

— Clear. "We say together."

Diego laughs.

And for my joy, Diego didn't shut up and not even for a minute. He told me that Dylan is his best friend and that Lili was like a sister to him, and that my pasta turned out wonderful.

The bell rings.

— Are you waiting for someone? Dylan asks.

— No, and you? — I ask.

— No, no one comes without warning.

— I answered. — Diego says and is already getting up.

As soon as we hear Diego open the door, someone asks for Dylan screaming.

"Where's Dylan?"

The voice is female.

— Who would like it? — Diego tries to stand firm.

Dylan and I get up and go to the door, and I come face-to-face with the girl from the night before.

"Are you his new toy?" she asks me.

— As?

“What are you doing here, Annie? Dylan asks in a squeal. — Go away from here. “He's tough.

"My love, we need to talk. — She changes her tone of voice.

— Do not call me like that! — He counters.

"Don't talk like that, let's face this together." — Tears start streaming down your face.

Dylan runs his hands through his hair, I can feel his anger.

"Have you traded me for that one yet?" She gives me a disgusted look. "Did you forget about last night?" — She asks.

"Don't talk about Ayza that way."

"Are you going to do the same to her as you did to me?"

"Go away Annie, get out of here!" Go away now! — He screams.

—All good? But we have unfinished business. — She says and throws an envelope in your direction.

Dylan takes the envelope and opens it, and when he looks at what's inside, his expression changes, the papers fall to the floor, I crouch down to pick them up and then, it's an ultrasound, Dylan is going to be a father.

He quickly takes the papers from my hands.

"Can you excuse us?"

— You can stay at my house Ayza. — Diego speaks and leaves pulling me by the arm.

Next thing I know I'm at Di's house, that's what his mother calls him, she's already a lady, there are lines of expression on her face, and I can see that he's drawn her features.

"Take my daughter." ’ She hands me a cup of tea.

— Thanks. — I thank you.

Only then do I realize that tears are streaming down my face?

It doesn't make sense, I have nothing to do with Dylan and how can that affect me?!
