Chapter 3 Murky Water

Her hands were clenched tightly. Anger rose to the top of her head. Her chest felt tightly filled with thick fog. Two horns seemed to appear on her head.

"Who's been making this trap?" Chennie growled, emphasizing every word she said.

"Whose work is this?" pressed Chennie once more. She was trying to keep from breaking everything in front of her. Water dripped from the downcast girl's hair. But a second later, Chennie raised her gaze with eyes as sharp as a hawk.

All the students of XII-1 fell silent. Even some of the students were jolted by just a few words spoken by Chennie. Although the girl had earned the nickname of the cutest and most adorable girl in school, the sharp horns on her head could not be hidden. It's this side of Chennie that her friends don't want to wake up.

A student with glasses perched on his nose raised one of his hands high. He, who was a class president, was naturally in favor of punishing a student who had disturbed the peace of the class. He had been quiet enough so far, but the three girls who were famous for their clumsiness and bossy attitude had crossed the line.

"Ca-caca and her minions," he replied, feeling a little nervous. After all, he was made to feel helpless in the face of Chennie's power.

Her eyebrows furrowed until they seemed to be fused. Her palms clenched so tightly that they turned white. She had guessed the culprit from the start. There was no one else who would stoop this low but those three troublemakers. The three of them were always harassing the new students in the school.

Chennie was sick of it. But as long as it didn't bother her, she just let it slide. But it was different this time. The three of them had dared to bully her!

She had already decided. The three of them would no longer be able to appear in this school starting tomorrow.

"What's going on?"

A voice that was both gentle and stern at the same time was heard interrogating the tense situation. Chennie spontaneously turned her head towards the source of the voice. It was a voice they knew well. The voice of someone they respected.

Her footsteps stopped. Her hand shot up to cover her slightly gaping mouth. She looked closely at Chennie's condition eyes wide with shock.

"Gosh, how did you get like this, Chennie? How did you get soaked when there was no rain today?" asked Mrs. Siska as she brushed aside some of the hair covering Chennie's face.

"Caca's doing," Rheana replied briefly. Her facial expression had not changed at all since then. Flat without any smile or surprise. And she casually pointed at Caca and her minions who were standing in the corner of the classroom.

"Caca! You again, you again. It's hard not to get into trouble one day, isn't it?" growled Mrs. Siska as she walked into the classroom. She stopped right in front of Caca who showed no fear. A true picture of a wayward student.

"Here you are!" Mrs. Siska immediately grabbed Caca's wrist. She turned to stare at the two students near Caca. Unlike Caca who straightened her gaze and dared to return her gaze, the two students who were Caca's minions bowed their heads with shaking hands.

"You guys must have had a hand in this incident this time, right?"

Without waiting for an answer, Mrs. Siska immediately pulled Caca, Vani, and Hina's hands out of the classroom. Before actually passing Chennie, Mrs. Siska paused for a moment.

"Chennie, the teacher will punish them. You dry your body first," said Mrs. Siska gently. Chennie nodded her head in response.

"No teacher, they won't be seen in this school again tomorrow," Chennie thought.

In an instant, Mrs. Siska's expression changed. The gentle smile that adorned her lips was immediately replaced with a flat and sharp stare.

"Come on, you're coming with Mrs. Siska! I will report you to the student affairs office so that your parents can come to school and see how their children are behaving." Mrs. Siska again pulled roughly on the hands of her wayward students.

The eyes of all the students in class XII-1 did not move from Mrs. Siska until she disappeared from their pupils. Afterward, they immediately focused on Chennie who was soaking wet. They secretly felt sorry for Chennie who had to take the place of the new student behind her.

"Chennie, are you okay? All your clothes are wet, you must be feeling cold," Callista worried.

Chennie, who did not want Callista to worry, then smiled sweetly. She shook her head softly. "I'm fine. I'm fine, Illis."

"Is she playing dumb? Chennie experienced it because she replaced her."

"Only new students get that treatment. Chennie was protecting you, you should thank her and apologize."

"You're right. Instead of uttering that false sense of worry."

Callisa lowered her head. Her ears were still functioning properly. She could hear all the sarcasm directed at her. Ah, she had been a burden on the first day of school.

"I'm sorry, it's still my first day of school, but I've already troubled you all."

Chennie sighed softly. If time were to turn back, she would still do the same thing. It was better for her to experience that than for her best friend to experience it.

"Don't lower your head. Straighten your eyes, Illis. You've never caused us any trouble or inconvenience. We're happy to have you here," Chennie explained as she lifted Callista's chin with her index finger.

Callista caught Chennie's beautiful smile. Aric, Rheana, and Brian who saw this also published smiles.

"That's it, that's it. Everything has passed. You, Chennie, should immediately change into your uniform in the restroom with Rheana. Aric and I will look after Illis." Brian took over the position behind Callista in place of Aric

Chennie gave a small nod. She and Rheana quickly turned around and carried their feet to the nearest restroom. Meanwhile, Brian, Callista, and Aric stepped into the classroom and sat on their respective benches.

The wheel that kept spinning like the axis of the world, was carrying the owner to move. The hallway illuminated by the orange-pink light seemed quite quiet because it had been a few minutes since the homecoming bell sounded. It was indeed the number one order of this school's students when it came to going home.

"Aric, I can handle myself." Callista looked at Aric with an uneasy look. From this morning until now, Aric had been faithfully helping her to push the wheelchair.

Aric gently held Callista's palm which was on the wheel to be put back on her lap.

"Let me do it, Illis," said Aric, who then returned to pushing the wheelchair occupied by Callista. Callista could not help but obey Aric's words.

The fairly wide hallway was filled with Aric et al who walked in a horizontal line. Some students who were behind inevitably followed the speed of their steps. The students did not dare to just reprimand Aric et al who controlled the road. They prefer to give in even though grumbles fill their hearts.

With steady steps, and bags slung over their shoulders, they passed through the hallway connected to the main field. The students who were previously focused on the basketball game they were playing, immediately switched their focus to Callista et al. Especially Chennie who was currently wearing a basketball outfit complete with a basketball in her hand.

Chennie's hair is pulled together in a ponytail with several strands of hair coming out of the pigtails, making her charisma increase many times over. Instead of her beautiful mature charisma, Chennie looks very cute.

Rheana who saw Chennie smiling proudly because she was so noticed by many people, could only chuckle softly. She understood Chennie's nature very well. She was a girl who liked the fact that many men were queuing up for her.

Rheana shook her head as she finished her little chuckle. Well, it seemed like the line of men would be reduced if they knew Chennie's biggest secret. They just didn't know that Chennie was one of those people who liked to mukbang. Even the video was uploaded on a red app. Although her face is covered by a mask, still she is her little friend who has been together for years and can recognize Chennie easily.

However, it doesn't seem to matter, because someone must have their interest in something. Since Chennie had a very high IQ like Rheanna et al, there must have been a lot of men who were holding out for her. Not to mention the fact that they are all descendants of billionaires who have a lot of connections.

Shush!

"Ah! Sorry, I'm sorry."

"Aaa! No, not again. Please, forgive me! I promise I won't bother your angels."

"Watch out!"

"Not this time. You've gone too far."

"Ugh! Please stop! Don't pour this murky water on me!"
