Chapter 5 I will make you lose your job

"The chair, Natalie, wishes to be the most capable assistant to the Third Young Master," she said.

"Let's forget about it," Michael waved his hand. "A tree that stands out in the forest will be destroyed by the wind. This is the conclusion I reached after twenty years in the Anderson family. Now that I have signed the inheritance agreement, I am already in a precarious position. I can no longer have achievements, so I will continue to be a useless person, be my son-in-law who comes to my door. I am a married man, and I don't want to die so early, leaving my wife a widow."

Natalie Mitchell's smile stiffened.

She understood the implications in Michael's words.

"It was my oversight," Natalie Mitchell slightly bowed, revealing her perfect cleavage.

Michael quickly averted his gaze, changing the subject. "My wife's company is in trouble and needs a loan of one billion. There are people who won't let my wife take out the loan. Can you help with this favor?"

"Of course, Natalie has already prepared everything for the Third Young Master," she said.

After speaking, Natalie Mitchell went to the safe next to the office desk, fiddled with it, and took out a gold and a black card, then handed them to Michael.

"It's the Citibank VIP Black Card with one billion in savings inside. The chairman entrusted me to give it to you for your daily expenses."

"The gold card is Mr. Hughes from the East Official Branch of Citibank. It is given to each deposit holder of the bank's high-net-worth clients. With this card, you can enjoy one billion interest-free and collateral-free loans every year. Our Nexus Industries has a special version of this card that allows for two billion interest-free and collateral-free loans every year. Have the Madam take the gold card to Mr. Hughes and I guarantee the loan will be approved."

Michael didn't hesitate and directly accepted the two cards.

His hands and feet were picked, but for Charlotte's sake, he would let go of this grudge and even take their billion.

"You can busy yourself, I'll go now," he said.

If he could get the loan for Charlotte, he didn't want to stay any longer.

"Wait, Third Young Master," Natalie Mitchell called out.

"What else?" Michael turned back.

"The Majestic Manor in the Prestige Gardens villa area developed by the Nexus Industries is now under the Third Young master’s name. The chairman has arranged Jonathan and Stella, who treated you well in the Anderson family, to Majestic Manor. There is medication for your hands and feet that were injured, as well as several private luxury cars that the chairman bought for you," Natalie Mitchell said.

"He knows how to make up for it," Michael sneered, reaching out his hand to Natalie Mitchell.

"Give me the car keys, I'm going to see Jonathan and Stella."

When he was young and got injured from his siblings' beatings, it was Jonathan who applied medicine for him. At the dining table, his siblings and parents would ignore him, but Jonathan treated him kindly.

The older siblings sometimes didn't let him eat, so Stella would make something special just for him. So, in his eyes, Jonathan and Stella are closer to him than his own family, the Andersons.

"Supercars, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, or Mercedes?" Natalie Mitchell asked with a smile. Michael chose the lowest class Mercedes, then left the Nexus Industries and drove the Mercedes S65 to Prestige Gardens Majestic Manor.

"Third Young Master, it's been over three years, and both Jonathan and I have missed you," said a middle-aged couple in their fifties standing outside the iron gate of Majestic Manor when they saw Michael through the car window.

The woman's eyes turned red as she spoke. "Stella, Jonathan, I've missed you too," Michael said with a smile.

After a few greetings, Michael parked the car in the villa's parking lot and entered the mansion's hall. "Third Young Master, I heard you became a son-in-law and didn't have a good time, is that true?" Stella asked with concern.

Michael smiled and replied, "It's not too bad. The person who saved me when I was thrown onto the street with my tendons cut is now my father-in-law."

"Ah!" Stella sighed.

"Jonathan and I wanted to save you back then, but who knew our second brother would find out and have someone watch over me, not letting me leave the house for three days. After that, when we went to find you, you were gone. These past three years, both Jonathan and I have been heartbroken because of this matter. It wasn't until a couple of days ago when we found out you were still alive that our hearts finally healed."

"I caused Jonathan and Stella to worry," Michael expressed remorse. They chatted a bit more before Jonathan asked Stella to brew medicine to treat Michael's injuries, while he and Michael drank tea and chatted.

Around noon, Michael finished his medicine and hurriedly left by car. He had to rush home to cook lunch, or else it would be another storm. However, right after leaving Prestige Gardens, his mother-in-law called. Michael knew trouble was coming, and she would scold him for not coming home earlier, but he still answered the call.

As expected, as soon as he picked up the phone, Sophia began to launch a barrage of insults. "I told you to get out of my house, leave Charlotte. It's so late, and you haven't come back to cook. Do you want me to starve to death?" "And why did you only give me 250 as my salary today? Is it because you know you must leave in three days, so you took the cash and had the finance department transfer 250 to disgust me? Are you trying to provoke me?" Two years ago, his father-in-law had an accident, and it wasn't during working hours, so Uncle and Uncle's family was not compensated for work-related injuries, and the company did not reimburse their medical expenses.

Most of the Carter family's savings were spent on treatments, and they also had to spend a lot of money on medications. My aunt-in-law didn't work and spent her time playing mahjong, while sister-in-law spent money like water. It was hard for Charlotte's meager salary and annual dividends to support the family.

So, Michael decided to work as a deliveryman, hoping to secretly earn some money to buy supplements for Charlotte. However, within just a few months, Sophia found out about it. She took away the less than ten thousand yuan that Michael had saved, demanded his salary card, and even insisted on installing internet banking on her phone. She only gave Michael five hundred yuan each month for cigarettes and expenses.

As a result, Sophia always knew when Michael received his salary.

"But mom, it's not like that," Michael was astounded. "I took a day off today and didn't deliver any packages. I didn't even withdraw my salary. I should have had over three thousand last month, but they only paid me two hundred and fifty. Is it true?"

"Do you want me to send you the screenshot?" Sophia's anger flared up. "You claim to have over three thousand, but you only got two hundred and fifty in your account. If you don't deposit over three thousand, I will break your legs when you come back!"

"Then send me the screenshot. I'll go to the delivery company to ask what's going on. You sort out the lunch by yourself. I promise to get back the over three thousand," Michael said.

"If I don't see over three thousand in my account before dinner, don't bother coming back. Tomorrow, I'll take Charlotte to divorce you!" Sophia hung up the phone angrily.

Shortly after, Michael received a Whatsapp message from Sophia. He opened it and indeed saw that only two hundred and fifty yuan was deposited.

"How can they mess up even a salary payment? Now I've been criticized because of this," Michael couldn't help complaining.

Then he drove to the delivery company.

"Hey, Michael , you've already been fired by Mr. Parker. Why are you here? Couldn't find another job, so you're begging Mr. Parker for a return?" As soon as he arrived at the delivery company, a man sneered and asked.

"What are you talking about? I've been fired?" Michael was shocked.

"Yes, Michael, didn't Mr. Parker inform you?" another man approached and asked with a frown.

"No, he didn't," Michael shrugged, puzzled. "Mr. Campbell, why was I fired?"

Mr. Campbell struggled to find the words.

Just then, an angry voice rang out, "It's all because of you, you useless piece of crap! Yesterday, I asked you to deliver a package and caught sight of your wife having an affair. Out of anger, I tore up the package and even wanted to fight. So, the customer complained to me, and I fired you."

"Besides, why would I need a useless piece of crap like you after firing you?"

"Hahaha!!!"

Everyone present burst into laughter.

Several colleagues couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"Bullshit!" they exclaimed.

Michael, infuriated, pointed at Mr. Parker, and shouted, "You can insult my character, but you cannot defile the innocence of my wife. This is not over between us!" Michael, in a fit of anger, pulled out something.

"What, you useless piece of crap, going to call the police on me?" Mr. Parker coldly sneered, showing no sign of fear.

"No, I'm going to ruin your career and make you lose your $15,000 monthly salary!" Michael said, as he dialed a number.
