Chapter 7 Blinding Brilliance!

The next day, after Michael finished breakfast, he took the car keys given by Charlotte and drove the BMW 740, the president's car, to the entrance of the villa, waiting for Charlotte to get in.

This was the first time in three years since he entered this family that he was taking Charlotte to work, so he couldn't help but feel a bit excited inside.

He felt that it marked the beginning of his bonding with Charlotte, so he put in extra effort.

Not long after, Charlotte, dressed in professional attire, and Emily, wearing a cute outfit, walked out hand in hand.

These two sisters were both tall and beautiful, one possessing a cold and noble temperament, while the other had a feisty and adorable charm.

Charlotte was known as an ice queen in the business world, while Emily was hailed as a goddess among the nerds at school.

Having a wife and a sister-in-law should be a source of happiness, but, Michael feels nothing but misery. His wife treats him lukewarmly, and his sister-in-law is even worse, constantly insulting him. She can't wait for him to divorce her sister as soon as possible, so how can he find happiness in such a situation?

However, out of gratitude towards Robert, he is willing to endure everything. Besides, after spending three years with this icy beauty, he has discovered that he has inexplicably fallen for her.

"Sis, how can we let this useless man drive?"

Once Emily got in the back seat and saw Michael in the driver's seat, her expression instantly turned ugly.

Charlotte sat beside her, closed the car door, and said, "Your brother-in-law borrowed a large client card from his classmate, which can help me get a billion. I asked him to go to the bank with me later."

She was worried that there might be some problems using the large client card for a loan, and it might require Michael to call his classmate, so she brought him along.

"He has such an amazing classmate?" Emily questioned with a skeptical face.

Michael chuckled. "Beggars can also have wealthy classmates, and prisoners can have classmates who become officials. Workers can have classmates who start their own factories. It's normal for me to have amazing classmates."

After speaking, he started the car and slowly drove out of the neighborhood.

"Hmph!"

Emily snorted, "I won't dispute what you said, but I don't believe that your amazing classmate can help a useless person like you."

Then, she said to Charlotte, "Sis, don't fantasize that a useless person can help you get a billion. If I'm not mistaken, the large client card he gave you is definitely fake!"

Charlotte's heart sank upon hearing this.

However, she quickly dismissed the thought.

After sharing a room with Michael for three years, she had a good understanding of his character.

When Michael dropped Emily off at school and then drove Charlotte to Wright Group, it was already close to nine o'clock.

Through the car window, they could see a crowd of people outside the main gate of Wright Group, shouting, "Pay back the money! Pay back the money!"

Charlotte's cousin, Joshua, stood outside the company gate. When he saw Charlotte's car park in the parking lot, he pointed at her and shouted, "Look, our CEO is here! If you want money, go ask her for it. It's her mismanagement that has brought Wright Group to the brink of bankruptcy. If you can't get the money, it's all her responsibility, and I have nothing to do with it!"

As soon as he said that the group of debt collectors ran towards the parking lot.

"This Joshua is too much!"

Charlotte clenched her fists in anger.

"You wait in the car; I'll go down and calm them down," Michael said, worried that Charlotte would be besieged by these people if she went down. He unbuckled his seatbelt, preparing to get out of the car.

"No need."

Charlotte directly pushed open the car door, got out, and walked towards

The upstream client who came running shouted, "Everyone calm down and listen to me. I assure you...”

Before she finished speaking, a dozen debt collectors surrounded her and handed over debt invoices.

"Look, we're owed over ten million for several months now. They're intentionally delaying the payment. Are they trying to default on the debt?"

"I must have the three million repaid today, or else I'll have a truck come to your warehouse and haul away the goods!"

"..."

The group of people interjected rudely, bombarding Charlotte with debt invoices, making it impossible for her to even open her eyes. There was nowhere for her to retreat.

"Haha!"

Seeing this scene, Henry felt ecstatic and approached, hands behind his back, to watch the excitement.

"Make way! Make way!"

Michael quickly got out of the car, pulled two people away from Charlotte, and then placed an arm around her shoulder and another hand protecting her head. He shouted at those people, "Calm down, all of you! Will treating her like this get you the money?"

"She came here today to tell you that the money will be available within two days. So, quiet down and let her speak!"

Hearing this, the debt collectors quieted down.

Meanwhile, Charlotte's hair was disheveled by these people's actions.

"Oh, Charlotte, are you so afraid of being surrounded that you had to call this waste to act as a bodyguard?" Joshua sneered.

Charlotte glared fiercely at Joshua and took out a gold card from her bag, raising it up. She said,

"This is Citibank's VIP Gold Card. I'll go prepare the materials for a mortgage loan right now, guaranteeing that I will borrow one billion within two days and fully repay the money owed to you."

Instantly, everyone's gaze focused on the gold card that Charlotte held high.

Joshua furrowed his brow and approached slowly. "This card..."

Michael was grinding his teeth, infuriated by Joshua's mistreatment of Charlotte. Taking advantage of the bright sunlight, he subtly turned Charlotte's raised gold card, causing a flash of golden light to shoot into Joshua's eyes.

"Ah!"

Joshua screamed in agony, quickly turning his head, and covering his eyes. He felt as if his 24K titanium alloy eyes had been temporarily blinded.

Charlotte chuckled, feeling particularly satisfied.

"It seems like it's a Citibank VIP card." Someone carefully observed for a while before speaking.

"Since it's a VIP card, it means someone is assisting President Harris. Most likely, the money can be borrowed. Let's come back in a couple of days," someone suggested.

"I prepared the loan documents this morning and will go to process the loan in the afternoon. If I use the VIP green channel for big clients, assuming no unexpected issues arise, the loan should be approved by tomorrow at the latest, and the funds will be transferred immediately for us to repay you," Charlotte said.

"Then let's trust President Harris once again. Hopefully, he won't disappoint us."

The dozen debt collectors left one after another.

Phew!

Charlotte sighed in relief, finally getting rid of those grandpas.

"Charlotte, show me what the big client gold card looks like," Joshua curiously reached out his hand.

Charlotte wasn't stingy, so she showed him the card.

After taking a look, Joshua became even more curious. "Which big shot gave you this gold card? Could it be Daniel?"

"I don't want anything from Daniel," Charlotte snatched the card back and said, "It's borrowed from Michael, a classmate."

"What? This waste managed to get a big client gold card?" Joshua couldn't believe it.

"Always calling him a waste, but he can obtain something so valuable. Maybe you're even worse than a waste?" Charlotte glared at him and walked towards the office in high heels.

"You..." Joshua felt anger surging through him. "You also can't get it, so does that mean you're even worse than a waste?"

"I'm fine being worse than my husband. I'm happy, which infuriates you," Charlotte responded without turning her head.

Michael listened with joy and patted Joshua's shoulder. "My wife is happy and that infuriates you."

After saying that, Michael left triumphantly.

"Damn it, adulterer and adulteress!"

Joshua punched his chest in frustration and immediately called Daniel from the office.

"Daniel, that waste Michael managed to get a Citibank big client gold card. Charlotte, that bitch, has already instructed the finance department to prepare loan materials. With the gold card in hand, it seems there's a real chance of securing a huge loan to resolve the crisis."

"How did that waste manage to get a big client gold card?" Daniel was puzzled.

"He said it was borrowed from a classmate."

Daniel paused and asked, "Who signed the back of the gold card?"

"At the back, there are several dragons, and there's no cardholder's signature."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm absolutely sure. I've looked at the front and back multiple times, and there's no signature," Joshua confidently replied.

"Haha!" Daniel burst into laughter. "It's fake. My dad told me that the big client gold cards are specially made for large depositors. Only twenty-eight were issued, and the name on the back is the cardholder's signature. I've seen my dad's gold card, and there are no dragon hairs on it, let alone multiple dragons."

"Haha, so it means that waste forged it and fooled that bitch, Charlotte?" Joshua laughed heartily.

"It must be forged!" Daniel asserted. "My dad told me that a bankrupt businessman once forged this gold card to scam loans but was eventually caught. If Charlotte uses that waste's forged gold card to apply for a loan, it will be interesting."

Joshua smirked.

"Laughing, 'If Charlotte gets caught, she will definitely resent that loser. When Daniel comes to the rescue, she won't hesitate to fall into his arms. If she marries you, I can finally become the president. That move of that loser's truly kills two birds with one stone for us.'"

"Hmm, let's closely monitor the developments."

"Good!"
