Chapter 4
As I stared into his dark blue eyes, I couldn't move. A thousand emotions ran through me all at once; anger, fear, sadness. I wanted to cry out in betrayal, but instead, I realized it was just a bad dream. My hands were trembling and I quickly tried to catch my breath. How long would it take for me to forgive him?
I heard a knock at the door and quickly composed myself before I opened it. Alpha Rocco was standing on the other side, a warm smile spread across his face. He offered me his arm, so I hesitantly grasped it, and we made our way to the dining area. He helped me into my seat and sat beside me. His eyes twinkled with delight as he looked at me.
“I think I should show you the entire Alabama Estate so you can get familiar with the place,' he said. I was taken aback, not expecting such an offer. He smiled at me expectantly, and I forced a smile in return.
“I hope you won't make me wait any longer,” he added.
I was unsure of what to do, so I smiled again and thanked him for his kindness. He smiled in relief before saying, “You're welcome. I'm glad I could help.”
He stood up and extended his hand to me. I took it and he gently led me out of the dining room. He showed me around the estate, pointing out different features and telling me stories about the place. As we walked, I felt my fear melting away and I began to relax.
He looked deeply into my eyes and said, “I feel like you're scared of something. I didn't know what you were going through before you came here. But I just want you to know that you'll be safe here with me.”
I felt my heart swell with emotion and I could barely manage to thank him. He smiled and we continued our tour. As we walked, I felt a warmth in my heart that I hadn't felt in a long time.
I knew that with Alpha Rocco's help, I would eventually be able to forgive him. I was grateful for his kindness and I knew that I would never forget his compassion.
I thanked him and grinned, saying, "Thank you for everything, Alpha. Everything you did to help me, I don't know how to make it up to you. Thank you for making me feel safe here.
He replied in a chilly tone, "Just said yes to me, Samantha. Just said yes.
He was looking at me intently at the time. Although I tried to avoid them, those looks seemed to draw me in. We were both looking at each other, and I could feel the sweat forming on my hands.
I observed his gentle laughter and his polite demeanor towards me. Once more, he extended his hand to assist me in rising.
As he said, he had a soft spot for me. I noticed that people around us were looking at me. But there was also a woman looking at me angrily. Why do I feel like this has happened to me before? Why would he treat me the way Alpha David treated me before?
Alpha Rocco has also shown me that he likes me and shown it in front of women who clearly like him. My former Alpha did the same thing to me back then, so I couldn't help but feel hurt. But I bit my tears before it fell.
"Ignore that woman's expression. This has nothing to do with us," he said seriously.
My former Alpha had done the same thing to me before and he still cheated on me. I was silent for a while, thinking about my past nightmares. Alpha Rocco noticed my silence.
I smiled at the thought, and a small hope of a new beginning started to blossom in my heart.
The sun's rays beamed down on me as I made my way up the stairs of the tower. I could feel the warmth of the beams on my skin, and it reminded me of the warmth of Alpha Rocco's presence. As I stepped through the doorway, I could see him standing there, looking up at me with his piercing gaze.
"Are you okay?" he asked me, a concerned look in his eyes. I felt my heart sink. Did I say something wrong?
"Do you like it?" he added softly, gesturing to the beautiful view of Alabama from the tower.
"Sure, Alpha,"I said, trying to hide the wave of emotion that was washing over me. "I'm just tired of moving around," I lied.
"Oh okay," he replied, his voice still soft and gentle. "I think you need some rest."
I nodded in agreement and took a deep breath. I wanted to tell him the truth, but I was afraid of how he'd react. I had to keep my secret.
But as the days, months, and years passed by, Alpha Rocco gradually gained my trust. I saw how patiently he waited for me, how much respect his pack had for me. And I started to question my own actions.
“Can I forget the past and start over with Alpha Rocco?' I asked myself. “Why don't I give myself a chance to change my destiny?”
The answer was clear. I needed to start a new life, a life that was free from my past. I had to accept my destiny as a Bloody Land Luna, and forget about my former pack.
I looked out the window and admired the beauty of Alabama. I knew that if I accepted my destiny, I could make a life for myself here. I could start a new life with my second mate, and maybe, just maybe, one day I'd find the peace and happiness I was looking for. With newfound determination, I smiled and made my way down the tower, ready to start my new life.
“Then hide the truth from him and forget about Alpha David!” I whispered to myself.
After a while, I stopped thinking when I heard his cold, deep voice coming from behind me.
I immediately looked at him and held my deep breath. I looked at him, wondering how I should begin. Did he hear what I said?
