Rejected mate
I caught a whiff of your scent, a hint of something otherworldly, but I knew you didn't belong to our pack. It was as if I had just stumbled upon you in this vast forest. So, tell me, to which pack do you owe your allegiance, my enchanting stranger? And why are you wandering alone in these woods?" A tall, striking man in white questioned me.
"Remember, Ana," Alfred had warned me before I embarked on this journey. "There are wolves out there who will deceive you without a second thought. Don't trust anyone, and if you can, deceive their minds as well."
With tears streaming down my face, I confessed, "I have no pack, no family. They took everything from me. Those heartless monsters killed my parents, showing no mercy."
The man's surprise was evident as he witnessed my anguish. In that moment, I pleaded with him to take me in and let me join their pack.
"Can I accompany you? I am willing to be your loyal servant," I whispered, my voice laced with a seductive tone.
Their world is filled with deception, so I must stay one step ahead.
"Very well, I am Elias, a gamma from the formidable Bloody moon pack," he introduced himself with a warm smile.
His smile was so sweet, and they led me to their magnificent Castle, known as Walter.
As we entered, I marveled at the sight before me. The walls were crystal clear, like the abode of an angel. Gold adorned every corner, and a beautiful chime echoed through the air.
"A gathering will take place tonight to celebrate Alpha Ashton birthday," Aries informed me.
"Alpha Ashton?" I inquired, curiosity piqued.
"Yes, Alpha Ashton is our beloved leader, the Alpha of the Bloody moon pack," he replied.
This is where the demon who took my parents away resides. I haven't made a mistake in coming here. My blood boils with anticipation, longing to face him once more. But I must remain unnoticed, keeping my emotions in check.
"It's a shame that he hasn't found his future Luna yet," Elias mused.
We walked into a room, and he instructed a woman to fetch a dress for me. As we waited, we sat together, exchanging glances. Moments later, the woman returned, presenting me with a neatly folded dress.
"Go ahead and change. I'll be waiting for you here," Elias said.
As I entered the room, my eyes were immediately drawn to the opulent gold curtains that adorned the walls. I couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation as I wondered what awaited me inside. But I knew I had to be brave and see my plan through to the end.
When I emerged from the room, Elias greeted me with a smile and offered his arm. As we walked, I couldn't help but feel his gaze on me, and I wondered what he was thinking.
"You're different from all the other women here," he said, and I couldn't help but wonder if he could sense something about me that others couldn't.
As we made our way to a large gathering, I was startled by a voice behind me. When I turned around, I was face to face with the man who had taken everything from me. He was handsome, with blonde hair and piercing eyes that seemed to see right through me. My knees shook as he approached me with a smile, and I couldn't help but wonder what he was planning.
As his hand reached my cheek, I felt a shiver run down my spine. I wanted to disappear, to run away from the man who had caused so much pain in my life. But as I looked into his angelic eyes and sweet smile, I found myself frozen in place.
"My mate," he said with a smile.
My heart stopped. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This was the man who had murdered my parents, and now he was claiming me as his own. I knew I had to act fast, to protect myself from his mind-reading abilities.
"A wolf can only read your mind if you accept him as your mate," I remembered Alfred's words.
I had a plan, and I knew exactly what I needed to do. I would make him a Slave, and I would make him chase me until he met his demise. I smiled as I thought about how I would embarrass him on his birthday.
"I, Anastasia Dawson, I reject you as my mate. But you are free to chase me and love me if you want. Let's see if you can change my mind or I will change yours," I told him with a sarcastic grin.
The pack was shocked by my bold move, but I stood my ground. Alpha Ashton grabbed my arms tightly, but I refused to back down.
"You can't do this to me, you can't embarrass me in front of my pack!" he exclaimed.
But I had already made my decision. I was not ready to be a Luna, and I would not let this man control my life. As I explained my reasoning to Elias, tears streamed down my face. But I knew that I had made the right choice.
"Stop crying, you better rest. I know you were just shocked by what happened but I know Alpha will understand why you reject him," Elias said with a smile.
"Let me explain to him. And don't worry, Alpha Ashton is very kind, Ana" he added.
I don't know why Elias is so kind to me. But I still won't give my trust to any werewolf, even if he is. Then why does he seem to make me look like Alpha Ashton is really kind?
Sweet words can't change the truth. It's imprinted in my mind that behind Alpha Ashton's angelic face, he is hiding his evil side. He can't escape his sin from my family. He will pay for his ruthless murder of my parents.
When we arrived in a small room, Elias said goodbye to me. I was left alone while sitting on the small bed. I dug into my pocket and opened my small wallet. I can still see our faded family picture. I choose to tear it so that I don't get caught.
"I miss you two so much, I hope you will always guide me in taking revenge on the person who ruined my life!" I said it emphatically.
"He will pay for everything!" I added.
Tears welled up in my eyes as I remembered everything. Later on, I didn't realize that I had fallen asleep. Maybe I was also tired from my long journey here.
The next day I woke up early and got up immediately. Suddenly there was a knock on the door while I was arranging my belongings. I immediately got up to open it.
The smiling woman with food appeared. She entered the room to put the food on the table and I thanked her. But I turned around when I saw Alpha Ashton walking towards me. He smiled sweetly at me and I was very annoyed every time I saw his smile. He would not be happy, so I would ruin his life. I also smiled sweetly at him because I knew I could tame him with my smile.
