She is mine, only mine

"Do you know who that is?" my father asks, and I shake my head.

"Words, Eliot." He frowns.

"I'm sorry, sir. No, I don't know who it is."

"This is Revean , and someday she will be yours to do with as you wish." He hands me the photo.

"I don't understand." I take the photo with trembling hand. I am very confused.

"You will in the future." He smiles. "Keep the photo, I'll give you more as I grow up. Now, go back to your studies. You can't fail this exam."

"Yes, sir." I leave the photo next to the book, which I open again.

I try hard to concentrate on the weapons I have to learn, but my attention returns again and again to the picture of the baby. At that moment I know that something inside me has changed. The fact that she is mine is slowly beginning to sink in. The path of my life has already been set in motion. I have no say in my future, but neither does she.

"Is this better for you?" Revean's voice breaks into my musing.

She's standing in the bathroom doorway in the clothes I've picked out for her. She's wearing her long hair wet, but pulled back in a braid that hangs down her back. I inhale deeply, the smell of fritanga gone, replaced by lavender body wash.

"Much better." I smile. "Get into bed," I order.

Revean opens his mouth to argue with me, but closes it again and bites his lip.

"You promise you won't do anything to me?" he asks.

"I have given you my word. Anything I do to you will be consented to. I'm not a monster." Grabbing the corner of the sheets, I pull them back. "Come in, Revean."

Reluctantly, she climbs into bed and I cover her with the sheets.

On the table next to the bed is a glass of water and a pill that the stewardess had placed there earlier on my orders. I hand them to Revean . "Take this."

She shakes her head. "No, thanks. I don't take drugs."

"Take this one," I order her.

"Eliot , please. I don't want to."

"Revean , do as I tell you. This will help you rest. We're going to fly over an area known for turbulence. I don't want you running around the plane screaming that you want to get off. I have urgent work to do, so I don't want any unnecessary interruptions. Now take your pill, enjoy your sleep and wake up feeling refreshed."

She purses her lips angrily. "Don't I have a choice?"

"You don't."

She opens her mouth and I pop the pill in. Then he takes a drink of water and swallows.

"Open your mouth. I want to check that the pill is gone, so you don't spit it out as soon as I leave this room."

He opens his mouth wide. There is no trace of the pill.

"See, I know when I have no choice." He turns away from me and rolls over on the bed, his back to me.

Feisty, but a quick learner.

"If you need anything, I'll be in the main cabin." I get off the bed and head for the door.

"Eliot ." Revean's voice sounds from behind me. "This is the first and only time you'll force something into my body that I don't want."

"Believe it if it helps," I reply, closing the door behind me on my way out.

Mine, Revean Smart , she's mine, to do with as I please.

REVEAN

I roll over in bed, stretch and yawn, but don't open my eyes. It was probably the best sleep I've ever had. I guess we'll be landing in Vegas soon.

That's when I realize that the hum of the plane's engine has stopped. I open my left eye and look around.

"What the fuck!" I jump out of bed.

I am no longer in the plane, but in a huge room, somewhere else. The walls are pristine white and the floor is a luxurious oak with a gray and white patterned carpet laid next to the huge bed I've been sleeping on.

The bed is bigger than the caravan I live in. It has to be a super king. The furniture is antique and there are cacti everywhere. But it's the windows on either side of the bed that take my breath away. They go all the way to the ceiling and are covered with white curtains. I reach out and open one.

"What the fuck is going on?" I repeat.

Outside is the most perfect green grass I've ever seen, but what surprises me is what I can see in the distance: miles and miles of desert. I don't see any other houses. Just endless sand with the occasional cactus.

"The bastard has drugged me and brought me to the middle of nowhere," I curse.

I turn around and head for what I hope is the bedroom door. I pull the handle, turn it, but it won't open. I'm locked in. I don't know whether to panic, cry, scream, or try to break the door down. I decide not to because it seems too thick and sturdy. Instead, I pound on the door with my fist.

"Let me out, you can't keep me prisoner."

A deep chuckle comes from the other side. Eliot clearly enjoys this. I can't really understand him. He doesn't want to hurt me, and yet I'm locked in a bedroom.

"Let me out, asshole . You can't fucking keep me in here," I continue to rant.

The laughter stops and I hear the keys in the door as it opens. I quickly open it wide and instantly regret it when I see the look on Eliot's face .

"What did you just call me?".

No, I didn't. I don't know what that pill he gave me was, but he drugged me and locked me in this room. He's the one with the crazy problems.

"You can't lock me in here. You have a twisted view of women. I'm not going to let you control me like this. I have my own brain."

His tongue licks the top of his lips. "I've warned you before about your language. I don't like to repeat it . You've done nothing but rage and protest since I met you in the trailer. It's clear you're not happy with this arrangement" "Why did you agree to come with me?"
