Chapter 6

“What do you mean by that? I thought he got the title and role because he was the one meant for the role. That is how Alphas are chosen just like you were chosen to be the Alpha.” Xeno looked at Marcus, he knew that there was something about him that made everyone follow him like he was some sort of god.

“I know what you mean by that, but you know that he was given that title because he married the Alpha’s only daughter. He was the one that stole her heart and it was some kind of joke at first but it was the law and everyone had to follow it.

You see becoming Alpha didn’t mean anything to him as long as he had her by his side.” Marcus was trying to explain to Xeno what and how Logan became Alpha, it didn’t impress the beta one bit. He thought that Logan was made Alpha because he was meant to be the Alpha but that was not the reality of things.

“I don’t get how the former Alpha let that happen? Now his daughter is dead and his mistake was letting her spouse lead the pack when it should be some that is well trained in that field. This is outrageous.” Xeno was trying to put it all together, Marcus knew that Xeno had never seen Logan to be a good candidate for the Alpha role. But then it couldn’t be changed that easily, he had to make sure that he didn’t make a mistake of ruining their reputation.

“You never liked, did you? But you know that there is no way for you to change it. The pack has already made its choice and they will have to live by it, anyone that goes against it will be punished. I know that he might be the best of all Alphas, but he is still an Alpha and I hope you learn to respect that.” Marcus knew that one day it might be that Xeno is trying to kill Logan and might even cause a war between the packs and that was something no one would want to happen.

“I am only respecting him because you said I should do so, left to me I will make sure that I don’t even follow a word he says because he does not know what he is doing he is acting like an omega.”

Marcus knew that it would be hard to make Xeno trust or obey Logan but he was not going to be worried about that. He trusted Xeno and he knew that Xeno won’t attack Logan with no valid reason and he was going to be sure that nothing like that will ever happen.

“Its funny how you’re the only Alpha in the northern parts that has the power to kill anyone at will, others cant really do that you know.” Xeno was praising Marcus, Marcus didn’t feel happy about it he was the strongest Alpha but his mate was almost killed.

“Calling me the strongest, I can’t really take that name, I cant even protect the one I love and now she has lost her memories she almost died. I can’t really call myself the strongest because that’s what they call me.

I almost lost Rose, and there is a chance that if I don’t really get my game up I might end up losing her. This is not going to be what I will be scared of every single day, because if it is then I know there would be other things I will have to make sure that I avoid in the long run because then this is about to get out of hands if those rogues ever attack again.” Marcus was not going to let the rogues take his mate from him, he will have to find a way to make sure that they didn’t hurt his pack or anything he cared about ever again.

Claire was still shocked, she was still struggling to find out who she was looking around the room she was in and she didn’t know what she was going to do or say. It was clear that there was something out place, she didn’t know her name but still one name kept ringing through her head and that name was Sasha.

She didn’t know who had the name or where she would find the person that has the name but then her heart kept telling her that she was not in the right place and she was going to be late if anything happens.

“Who am I? I don’t really know my background or where I come from but how am I here? I know that I woke up here but I feel that I am not meant to be here and I need to be some where now. But the question is who am I?” Claire was looking around the room.

“You are Rose, the Luna of the Driftwood pack and my mate.”

Claire turned to see Marcus standing behind her, she looked at him. She had many things to ask but she didn’t know how she was going to ask him the question.

“I know that this is going to be hard to ask you but then, I will ask. Who am I to you? How did we meet? I don’t know what I am going to do.” Claire was looking around feeling scared, she wanted to know what was there.

Marcus walked up to her and held her hand, he wanted to show Claire that she was his mate but then it was going to be hard if there was something blocking her memory.

“I know it will be hard for you to remember but I will tell you that we were the closest people together and I will also tell you that there was nothing that could ever make us go apart. I don’t know how I am going to do it, but I will find a way to show you that we are mates.”
