Chapter five: I LOVE YOI!!

Sophie tried to ignore Catherine but as they both crossed the path, they raised their heads to look at each other. Catherine was also one of the people that had made life miserable for her in the pack house. Even when she was the real mate of Alpha Tyler, she never for once got that respect. Everyone respected Catherine as their Luna rather than herself but there was nothing she could do. Alpha Tyler determined the life of his pack member.

Catherine came to an abrupt stop immediately, their eyes met. She shook her head and unexpectedly raised her hand to hit Sophie across the face.

Sophie whimpered at the slap. She was all surprised and confused about why Catherine would hit her.

"You don't dare to look at me that way, stupid! You learn how to bow your head to your elders, okay?" Catherine warned and Sophie just watched her say those words.

Catherine scoffed at the fact that Sophie was still staring at her. She raised her hand to hit Sophie again. "Are you deaf, put your head…'' she paused when her hand stopped midway and she couldn't hit Sophie. She felt someone holding her hands and as she raised her infuriated look at who had held her hand, she flinched in fear and her face immediately was covered with a sad look. "Row_'' she was about to say when he dropped her hand and took some threatening steps toward her.

"Will you slap me because I'm looking into your eyes?" he demanded, staring deeply into Catherine's eyes as she was forced to bring down her head. She dared not confront him.

"I'm so_"

"No… you can't be sorry for me after hitting her, can you? Apologize to her instead," Alpha Tyler conveyed with a commanding tone while Catherine stared confused at him.

"I thought you said no one shouldn't stare at me but she did," Catherine protested pointing at Sophie who scoffed in fury. She was still in anger not knowing why she couldn't use her black magic.

"Is that your excuse now?" Alpha Tyler inquired and Catherine opened her mouth to talk again but the moment she saw the look on his face, she immediately did the right thing.

She turned to Sophie and pulled her both hands. "I'm so sorry, maid. I didn't do it intentionally. Please forgive me," she pleaded desperately and meant each of her words. What could she do? She couldn't bring herself to anger him. She wasn't ready to face Alpha's wrath.

"Get lost," Alpha Tyler divulged, trying his very best not to get vexed with Catherine for slapping someone he believed to be his mate. But the moment SSophie tried to speak again, he growled furiously at her, "Get lost!"

Catherine obeyed the voice instantly and veered around to leave, bowing to him as she rushed down the hallway.

Sophie also bowed her head to thank him for saving her and just when she took some steps, he ordered her to stop. Sophie pulled her lower lip into her mouth and bit softly on it, her hands fisting into a ball. His presence around her annoyed her and she just couldn't bear it.

"Can you tell me that you didn't know that we're mates or you were only pretending to because you're scared?" Alpha Tyler questioned and Sophie found herself chuckling at his words. Being his mate was not bad but being scared of him was something else entirely. Maybe if she was still in herself, she was afraid of him but at that moment, she wasn't the one who was supposed to be afraid. It was him, Alpha Tyler. He was the one that was supposed to be cowering over her but it wasn't the right time for that. She needed her powers first.

Alpha Tyler, feeling irritated with her laughter, spoke up. "Say something now or_" Okay that was out of it because Sophie was not ready to hear any threat from him. She wasn't ready to give him a position that wasn't hers.

"Yes, of course. I know we're mates but you know what? I can do you an honor by rejecting you at the moment, right now," Sophie protested, anger could be heard in her voice. She was tense to the core.

Alpha Tyler stood to his stance, his mouth parting ways slowly to her confession. She was her mate all along and she got him confused? How the hell did she do that?! What the hell did she do to her wolf?!

"I, Freya Jones, as from this moment, reject_" her words were cut off the moment Alpha Tyler clasped his lips on hers, surprising to Sophie. He began to kiss her aggressively, tugging her closer to him and bussing their mouths against each other while Sophie stood shocked at her stance, unable to reciprocate the kiss. How could she when the person she hated the most was the one kissing her badly?

By the time Alpha Tyler pulled away, Sophie was already in a rage and he saw it on her countenance but that didn't stop him. Without any hold, he hauled her neck and let his wolf take over. Instantly, his canines were out and he sunk them deep into her neck, earning a scream from Catherine. The scream was so loud that it contained both pain and rage. How could he claim and mark her?!

Sophie shook beneath his bite and held onto his cloth, cringing in both fear and fury. "You're stupid, Tyler!" she cursed under her breath as she felt his tongue, trailing out her neck, licking the blood that had come out from his mark.

Surprisingly, Alpha Tyler pulled her into a conducive hug, clutching tightly on her. "I'm sorry I scared you by killing my other mate. Please don't hide from me anymore, I promise I will cause you no harm," he assured her and Sophie found her eyes getting watered. What was the monster trying to say? Was she sure he was the one even speaking? She tried to disengage from the hug but he pulled her closer and whispered into her ear. "I love you."
