Chapter 2
I was surprised when he called me by that name. He also noticed that I was surprised by what he said, but I didn't pay attention to it because it was more important for me to treat my mother's wound. I could see the deep cut on her arm, and I knew it had to be treated quickly.
“Savannah, it's you!” he bubbled.
I immediately denied that I was Savannah. I'm confused about what's happening because at first the wolves said I was a daughter of the Lycan king and now he called me Savannah.
"Who is Savannah?" I asked curiously.
“The Lycan’s daughter,” he answered.
I stared at the man incredulously, my eyes wide with disbelief. “I'm sorry, but you must be mistaken,” I disagreed.
“My name is Clara, not Savannah. I'm no one special, just an omega.” I introduced myself.
The man's expression softened, and he shook his head sadly. “My mistake, I'm sorry,” he apologized.
“But you must understand, Clara, your resemblance to the former Lycan King's daughter is uncanny. We thought you were her. “he added.
“Anyway, my name’s Elijah, a beta of Bloody dark pack,” he introduced himself.
“Thank you for your help, Elijah,” I thanked him.
I bit my lip, my mind racing. I never heard stories about the Lycan King and his daughter, Savannah. But how could I be related to them?
I was only a lowly omega, but I could feel the gravity of the situation. Still, I couldn't believe what he was saying. It was impossible that I was the daughter of the Lycan king. My mother had been the only one who gave birth to me when I was born in this world.
“It’s impossible,” I said.
My mother also insisted that I was her only daughter and that Elijah had mistakenly identified me. I didn't know what to think, and I felt scared and confused. I had so many questions, but no one seemed to have answers.
“Yes. That’s right,”
“Clara is my daughter, not the lycan king’s daughter, “my mother insisted.
“Okay fine. The most important now is that I can assured your safety because werewolves will not stop haunting her. We can’t deny the fact that she is a perfect twin of Savannah,” he stated.
“Come with me so you can find out,” he added.
He offered to bring us to his place, and I was hesitant at first. I had just met him, and I wasn't sure if I could trust him. But I knew he had saved my mother, so I decided not to doubt his kindness.
After a long journey, we finally arrived at the beautiful place called Neuri where their palace is.
I thanked him sincerely for his help, and he said it was no trouble. I was grateful for his kindness, and for the name he had called me.
“Let’s bring your mother to a medical room so that they can treat her wound and give her medicines,” he said.
“Okay. Thank you!” I thanked him, smiling.
I nervously paced inside the room, anxiously waiting for the doctor to come out and give us the results of my mother's treatment. Tears welled up in my eyes as I imagined the worst-case scenario. The doctor finally emerged, and I let out a sigh of relief to see the smile on his face.
“Your mother is going to be just fine. We've cleaned and treated her wounds, and she'll need to take it easy for the next few days. No strenuous activities, just rest.” the doctor advised.
I hugged my mother tightly and thanked the doctor. I couldn't believe the turn of events that had brought us to this palace. Just a few days ago, I had been running away from the group of werewolves, struggling to survive with my mother.
It was all thanks to Elijah, the kind-hearted stranger who saved us and offered us shelter in this place. I wasn't sure how long we would be able to stay here, but at least I could rest easy knowing that my mother was safe and being taken care of.
“Come with me, Clara,” Elijah said to me.
“Where are we going?” I asked him.
“I just want to explain everything. I will let you see why all this happening to you now is. The reason why the Rogues are haunting you.”
Elijah and I stepped into the golden chamber, my mouth dropping open as I took in the sight. Everywhere I looked, gold glittered, from the walls to the floor. And there, on one wall, was a painting of a young woman. I looked closer, my stomach dropping as I realized that it was me.
“What is this?” I asked, my voice barely a whisper.
“You thought it was you, didn’t you?” Elijah said, his voice gentle.
I nodded, my heart racing. Who was this woman in the painting?
“She is Savannah Ferocity, the only daughter of the Lycan king,” Elijah introduced.
“That’s why the rogues have been haunting you,” he added.
My mind spun. I had always known I was different, but I never could have imagined this. I had a family, a mother who loved me so much and my father who left us for another woman. I had a place in the world.
“What do I do?” I asked.
Elijah smiled. “You fight,” he said.
“You fight for who you are and what you believe in. You don’t let anyone take away your identity.” he smiled at me.
My heart swelled with hope. I was ready to take on this challenge, to discover who I truly was.
“Let’s go,” he said, and with that, we stepped out of the golden chamber, ready to face whatever was to come.
The man approached Elijah and informed him that Alpha Henrick was on the lookout for him. Elijah smiled at me, and those smiles had a distinct significance for him. He invited me to accompany him to meet the Alpha.
"What will his reaction be if he sees you?" he asked, smiling.
"What do you mean?" I said, perplexed.
"Come with me. I will introduce you to our Alpha and let's see how it’s going, “he smiled.
I'm quite scared about meeting their Alpha. I took a deep breath and just fixed my hair.
I noticed a man sitting on his chair, reading a newspaper, in the distance. I was impressed by his stance and muscular frame, as well as his medium-length hair. He is quite attractive.
I bowed in front of him, ashamed of my appearance in comparison to his.
I cautiously lifted my face and saw his lovely Green eyes, but his eyes widened as we exchanged glances.
“W—What the hell…”
