Chapter 3

Alpha Henrick's face was a mixture of surprise and confusion as he looked at me. I was taken aback by the intensity of his gaze and the way he examined me. It was almost as if he was trying to figure out a puzzle. I swallowed hard and tried to gather my composure.

"It's like you saw a ghost, Alpha," Elijah smiled.

I noticed the scowl in his eyes as he stared at me from head to toe. He was unaware that I was not comfortable, so I knelt to avoid him. Did he also think I was the Lycan king's daughter?

“Impossible,” he said in disbelief.

“S—Savannah?” he stammered.

"It's Clara, an omega from the small town of Arizona. I brought her with her mother here to ensure their safety," Elijah stated.

"The rogues chasing her because they thought she was Savannah Ferocity," Elijah added.

"Y-Yes. She perfectly got her face, “he agreed.

“Exactly and I know you missed seeing her beautiful face, “Elijah teased him.

“Stop kidding, Elijah!” his forehead frowned.

“Am I wrong, Alpha?” Elijah asked him.

“But this woman is a nerd and homeless. They're different!” he bullied me.

“Anyway, I don’t care about it,” he added.

“But your reaction says it all, Alpha” Elijah smiled at him.

“Stop kidding, Elijah. Savannah doesn’t deserve a strong and powerful Alpha like me even though she’s the Lycan king’s daughter,” he boasted.

He looks charming and handsome but his words and actions are just the opposite of his looks.

“I told you women are nothing to me. Either their trash or a toy in bed,” he taunted.

His words were laced with a smugness that made my blood boil. He treated women as if they were nothing more than a toy to satisfy his own needs and desires and it made me sick to the stomach.

His handsome face was a stark contrast to the words that were coming out of his mouth. With his piercing green eyes and chiseled jaw, he looked like the perfect man, but his words painted him as a shallow and selfish being.

“I can’t even count how many women I wasted in bed, “he bragged.

“Do you want to be one of them?” he hissed.

The contempt I felt towards Alpha Henrick was overwhelming. He had no respect for women, and the thought of him taking advantage of them made my heart ache. My fists clenched at my sides as I tried to contain the anger that was surging through me. His words were like a slap in the face, and I had to bite my tongue to keep from speaking up. But I failed to keep my silence.

"Your throne does not give you the right to belittle and insult women. We are not mere playthings for your amusement. We deserve respect and love just like any other human being," I spoke firmly, my voice laced with conviction.

He scoffed at my words, his arrogance oozing from every pore.

"You, an omega, dare to lecture me? You're nothing but a mere speck in my world," he said, arrogantly.

"I may be an omega, but I have a voice and I will use it to defend the honor of women. You have no right to play with their emotions and leave them broken-hearted." I protested.

He sneered at me, his eyes blazing with fury.

"I, the Alpha of Bloody Dark Pack. Who are you to tell me what I can and cannot do? ” he boasted.

“Yes. You are the Alpha and you must think first of others you may hurt!” I protested.

“Really?! When you rejected me in front of everyone, did you think about my feelings?!" he asked, firmly as his emotion burst out.

I was taken aback by his words, my mind struggling to comprehend what he was saying. Elijah, who had been looking at us, turned away in disgust.

With a final push, he ordered me to leave his sight. I stood there, rooted to the spot, as his alpha voice echoed in my mind. But I refused to be silenced.

"What did you say?" I asked him.

"Did you hear what I said?!" he bellowed, his voice echoing through the empty hall.

I looked at him, my heart heavy with disappointment. He was not the alpha I had hoped he would be. And with a heavy heart, I turned and looked at Elijah while waiting for what he was going to say.

“Let’s go, Clara,” Elijah said.

“You must leave!” he hollered.

I took a deep breath and meekly followed Elijah as he guided me out of the room. I could feel my heart breaking as I walked away from Alpha. I couldn’t help but ask Elijah why Alpha Henrick likes to insult and discriminate against women.

I also noticed that he was obviously hated to see my face. The last question pushed me to find the answer. Is it just because I got Savannah’s face? Who is she in his life? What did Savannah do to him?

I was desperate for an answer, but I knew that it was out of the question.

“I couldn't believe that after so long there’s still a woman who had the courage to fight him,” Elijah said as he glanced at me.

"I should have done that. He's so arrogant and boastful Alpha,” I said, emphatically.

"Besides Savannah, no other woman tried to fight him. They were all afraid of him not until you came. You got not only Savannah’s face but the fighting spirit “he smiled.

“Is he really that arrogant? How do you live with someone like him?” I asked, curiously.

"No. Alpha Henrick is a good and soft-hearted man. Everything just changed because of Savannah.” he affirmed.

"Why? Who is Savannah in his life? Can you tell me everything so I can understand?” I asked him.

Elijah took a deep breath before speaking and he told me about Alpha Henrick being humiliated and rejected as a mate by the Lycan king’s daughter, Savanah Ferocity.

"I'm sorry to heard about that,” I said.

"Savannah is his first love and his biggest heartbreak. And until now I know he still can't move on from what happened," Elijah said sadly.

"But he shouldn't dwell on the past. It's also not right for him to take revenge on others just because he was hurt because of one woman,” I commented.

"I know it, but in his eyes, all women are like Savannah,” he responded.

"Not all women are the same," I insisted.

Elijah agreed with what I said and simply smiled. We looked at each other and I noticed that he wanted to tell me something.

"Do you want to say something?” I asked him.

He paused, his gaze lingering on my eyes for a few seconds before he spoke. His breath was shallow, his face taking on a serious expression as he searched my face for a sign of understanding. I waited anxiously, my heart pounding in anticipation of what he was about to say.

"Can you help him?" he asked.

I was surprised and confused by what he said. What did he mean? How can I help?
