Chapter 7

As I eavesdropped on their conversation, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. They were discussing their plan to steal the wolf's tusk and even worse, they were plotting to assassinate Alpha Henrick. Determined to protect him, I quietly made my way through the secret passageway towards the tower. My heart raced as I found Alpha Henrick gazing through the telescope.

"Alpha," I whispered, catching his attention.

He turned towards me, a smile lighting up his face. It pained me to see such a handsome and kind-hearted man being targeted by these villains. I couldn't let him know my true intentions, but my concern for his safety was overwhelming. Perhaps, deep down, a part of me wanted to take matters into my own hands and eliminate the threat.

"Alpha, I have something of utmost importance to share with you," I spoke with a serious tone.

"What is it, Clara?" he inquired.

"The enemy has infiltrated our castle," I revealed.

Surprise flickered across his face as he processed my words. He stepped closer, his eyes locked onto mine. I mustered the courage to disclose what I had discovered.

"We have guards, Clara They wouldn't allow anyone to breach our defenses," he reassured confidently.

"They have infiltrated because the guards themselves are the enemy, Alpha!" I insisted firmly.

Confusion clouded his expression as he tried to comprehend the gravity of my words.

"What do you mean?" he asked, his voice tinged with confusion.

"You know exactly what I mean, Alpha," I replied, my determination unwavering.

He swiftly exited the tower and I trailed behind him. As soon as he caught sight of the empty gate, his eyes widened in shock. Without hesitation, he darted down the corridor and I struggled to keep up with his pace. My heart raced as I caught a glimpse of two heads resting on a table. The sight left me speechless.

The memory of how he had mercilessly killed my parents flooded my mind, but I had to remain composed. I couldn't let him suspect that I was one of his enemies. He held the hair of the heads tightly and spoke in a serious tone, "Don't be afraid, Clara. ne who tries to enter the castle will be held responsible."

I knew better than to provoke him, for his anger was a terrifying sight to behold. He ordered the gammas to dispose of the heads and instructed Marcus to choose new guards for the castle. "Remember, I don't want to fight against me. You know what will happen if you do," he warned Marcus.

As Marcus left, he turned his gaze towards me, his expression serious. I felt a knot form in my stomach as I tried to maintain my composure. I mustered up the courage to approach him and flirtatiously asked, "Why are you staring at me like that?"

He responded, "I want to thank you. I wouldn't have known that the enemy had entered if not for you. I almost failed to protect the fang."

I couldn't help but comment, "They are really interested in the fang."

They have been safeguarding and preserving that fang for countless years. And to the best of my knowledge, that fang possesses a unique power that can enable a wolf to vanquish any formidable creature. Many have coveted it, but none have succeeded in obtaining it.

Under the cover of darkness, Alpha Henrick thin the grand castle. He urged the guards assigned by Marcus to heighten the security measures.

Little did he know, the enemy lurked closer than he could imagine, and unbeknownst to him, I was one of them.

In the midst of the gathering, Elijah approached me and our eyes locked. I still vividly remember the day he confessed his love for me.

"How are you? How are things between you and Alpha?" he inquired.

"I'm fine, Elijah,"replied.

He hesitated for a moment, then stammered, "Um... Do you want to talk about something?"

"This is clara and shall be my Luna.expect each and every one of you to protect and respect her, just as you would me," he introduced me.

Suddenly, a woman stepped forward, catching us all off guard. It was evident that she harbored strong feelings for Alpha.

"Didn't that girl reject you, Alpha?!" she demanded, her voice filled with determination.

"I understand her reasons, and I know she's not yet ready," Alpha Henrick responded calmly.

"Alpha, you don't deserve to be rejected. Why not choose me? I am more deserving of being your Luna compared to her!" she exclaimed, her anger palpable.

"Clara is the one I have chosen, and she is the only one I will choose, time and time again, Eloisa," Alpha Henrick replied firmly.

Suddenly, a fluttering sensation stirred within my stomach. I couldn't quite comprehend why I felt this way. I couldn't allow myself to be swayed by his sweet words, so I fortified my resolve even further.

"I don't claim to be your Luna, Eloisa. But if that's what Alpha desires, there is nothing you can do. As I've said before, I can retract everything I've said," I smiled sarcastically, addressing the crowd.

I could see the recognition in his eyes as he locked gazes with the two women. It was clear that he knew them, and the intensity of his stare hinted at a deeper connection. The crowd fell silent, captivated by the unfolding drama before them.

As the women stood before us, their heads bowed in reverence, I couldn't help but wonder what secrets they held. The air was thick with anticipation, and I could feel the tension building around us. It was as if the entire world held its breath, waiting for the Alpha's next move.

In that moment, I made a silent vow to myself. I would do whatever it took to become one of his weaknesses, to hold power over his heart. I would make him suffer, just as he had made me suffer. The fire within me burned brighter, fueled by the desire for revenge.

Little did he know, I would turn the tables on him. I would become the one who controlled his every thought, his every desire. And as I watched him, his eyes locked on those two women, I knew that my plan was already set in motion. The game had begun, and I was determined to be the victor.
