CHAPTER 6

The air in the room was getting colder and colder. The girl realized that the cold had almost touched her skin.

In the morning, Liona woke up with almost half the books lying on the floor last night already rearranged. "Who took care of this?" Liona murmured. Her whole body ached like a block of wood.

"Hey, what are you doing, quickly clean up my books," said a man and it turned out to be Lucas.

"I really want to sleep, but you make me sleep here," Liona whispered.

"Don't let my books be damaged, please be more careful with my things. Especially the books over there." Lucas pointed at the books that had been arranged neatly again like before.?

?"Have you cleaned them up??" asked Liona. However, Lucas avoided the question.

"You really cherish your things," Liona looked hurt because Lucas let her sleep all night in the library.

"Don't you know how hard it was to buy that book before?" Lucas now spoke in a slightly soft but firm tone.

?"How do I know, I've never read this book," Liona replied while tidying up the uncompiled book.

"A novel adapted for film, I think everyone will know because it is famous."

"Ah, are there a lot of dwarfs in this film?" Liona asked.

"Yeah, isn't that pretty amazing?" Lucas looked very interested as soon as Liona found out about the film.

Lucas' reaction made Liona feel a little strange, the man didn't look like him. It seems that he is not so cold and inaccessible when talking about movies.

Lucas realized that he seemed to talk too much. He immediately returned from there and left Liona, regretting talking to her.

"You are a strange man," Leona muttered to herself as she sorted out all the books around her.

The girl went out of the room and she met Lucas' mother. When Bernadette saw Liona's clothes in a mess, she smiled at her.

"Bernadette, must I sleep again in your son's room tonight?" Liona whispered.

"Did something happen between you two last night?" Bernadette asked.

Hearing that, Liona realized that it didn't look like Bernadette was cleaning up the scattered books last night.

"No, I'm a little tired there."

"You can go back to your room tonight," Lucas interrupted.

"No, you two will be living together again tonight," Bernadette continued. Her words immediately received a sharp glare from Lucas.

"I mean, I hope someone will take care of you before our servant comes back." Bernadette went on and left them.

Liona turned her body to look at Lucas. "Are you happy to be sleeping in my room again tonight?" Lucas asked.

"Do you think I'm okay sleeping on the floor?" Liona said that with black eyes at the bottom.

Liona cleaned up and returned to provide all of Lucas' needs. This time she intended not to speak to the man. Her annoyance was too much for Lucas.

"Liona, let's eat," Bernadette asked.

"No, Bernadette. I will do other work for a while" replied Liona. She only prepared food for Lucas and Bernadette.

The girl did not eat because she was lazy to be at the same table with Lucas. Then she intended to clean Lucas's room because she saw a lot of dust in his library.

As soon as she lifted a book, suddenly Liona heard a sound moving from the cupboard. She was starting to get scared when the cupboard shifted.?

Liona was surprised that in this room that already had many functions, there was still another room.

"What is this, why is it so dark" Liona whispered, but her feet continued to walk.?

Her hand touched the wall, then Liona grabbed a light switch and turned it on. Instantly the room was lit up.

Liona saw the black in the room. There were many pictures in it. Some photos even look faded.

The small framed photos show a boy and girl holding a red balloon together.

And there was a little girl playing ballet, her beautiful smile made her charm radiate.

There was a frame at the back of the room, and Liona took it away. The beautiful face behind the frame was now visible, a smiling adult girl in a blue dress was blowing out birthday candles, next to her was a tall man standing, looking at her with a smile on his face.

Liona looked more carefully because the man's face was familiar. "Isn't this Lucas, then who is the girl beside him?" Liona whispered, her finger touching the smiling face of the man. "Such a cold person can actually smile," continued Liona.

Lucas wanted to make Liona leave his house right now, but he didn't have the strength to argue with his mother.

He decided to make the girl feel embarrassed here so that she could not bear it and left.

After dinner, Lucas went to look for Liona and asked her to work harder today.

He couldn't find the girl anywhere, even though he had been looking everywhere. Suddenly, he saw his room was open. Lucas went in right away. But did not see Liona in the room.

Lucas was planning to close the door to his room, but a voice made Lucas stare back at the room. He thought he heard wrong, but a voice came back again, in a room he hadn't touched in a long time.

His eyes sharpened. Lucas quickly moved the wheelchair to the source of the sound. He was surprised to see the library room open and found Liona, she was looking at the picture hanging on the wall.

?"I told you, don't cross your line, Liona," Lucas shouted with tight neck muscles. He now was angrier than when the flower vase was broken by Liona.

Liona was shocked and couldn't say a word.
