CHAPTER 3
She ran like haven't done before. She knew the power of the mate bond and even though she was the domineering one in her marriage with Damian, she knew that at this point, there was little or nothing she could do. But she would not give up. Damian was hers and hers alone. She was the Luna and will always be the Luna. Her rebirth happened for a reason and she was not going to throw this second chance away.
Never.
Alexia ran till it was dawn. She stood at the entrance and transformed again. Hertha is happy to go back after a good run. She walked back to her house. The first person she ran into was Hayley. She was still there. The girl's presence wasn't unexpected, it was the mate bond. Damian couldn't just let the girl out of sight. The girl was dangerous. Alexia had to do something really quick or once again, she will be killed by her husband and his mate. She will lose the Luna title and her husband's love.
The next day, Alexia had to travel. She was going to look for help. Time wasn't what she had. She was going to the southern park. The most dreaded of the four werewolf kingdoms. They were fierce warriors, men and women alike. Most importantly, they hated Northern park. A long time feud between both parks, even before both Alphas from both parks were born. She knew the Northern park Alpha. Richard. She was going to him for help.
She began her journey at night. When the cloud was dark and thick. It was going to be a three days journey but she would run, she would run as fast as the Luna she was. She transformed at the entrance of the thick woods and started off. Run! Run!! Run!!! She kept telling herself. She would run to save her marriage, she would run to bring Hayley down. Yes, she would.
Even when it was dawn, she didn't stop running. She was the Luna and she was strong. She ran till afternoon when she finally came to a halt in front of a little stream. She was tired, hungry and thirsty. She dared not to release Alexia, Alexia was only human and she would die. She looked down at the little stream in front of her. The water looked fresh and pure and the stream was still. She saw herself in the water, white and beautiful. She was the only one who fit to be the Luna, not that black wolf with white spots.
She reached down and drank the water. Cold. It ran down her throat, soothing the burning sensation in it and landed in her stomach. She sat down and bent deeper into the water, gulping every bit that she could get.
Back at Northern park. The Luna was missing. The news went around. The Luna wasn't the type to go off at night and not return until the sun was up. The leaders of the park had already selected a search team to go in search of the Luna and they did. The males searched the woods from dusk till dawn but a trace of the Luna wasn't found. She was missing for real.
Damian didn't know whether she ran off because of Hayley. But he was glad she did, he didn't have to lie to her anymore. He loved her too but his mate bond was stronger with Hayley. After three days of constant searching, the Luna wasn't found and the men were tired of searching. If she were in any of the neighbouring parks then an Alpha of the park would have sent word. But nothing came. The search was pronounced over and the men returned to their families.
She got to the southern park after two days of intense running. When she arrived, everyone in the park became alert. A Northern Luna in the southern territory was unheard of. Men came out of their houses to look at the Northern Luna and women whispered their gossip in hushed tones. She arrived and proceeded to the Alpha's house. She meet with the Alpha and wasted no time in explaining the reason for her visit to him.
The Alpha of the southern park, also an admirer of the Northern Luna, didn't hesitate to assure the Luna of his undying support for her. Alexia was shown the way to her room. A big room it was, fitting for a Luna. Hertha was tired and so was Alexia. She fell asleep in no time.
It was till the next night that Alexia woke up. She freshened up and got dressed in a long red dress that was laid on the bed for her to wear. She was going to have dinner with the Alpha. Alone. A great opportunity to discuss a plan with the man. She was taken to the dining area and she sat, waiting for the Alpha. He came immediately after she sat. He apologized and made it known that he was a busy man. Alexia assured him it was fine and they began eating.
Alexia told him what she wanted. War. It didn't matter how it should start, she wanted the Northern park invaded, Hayley killed and Damian captured. The Alpha roared with laughter. A simple task it was. The northern park was only a little territory compared to the southern park. But the Alpha wanted something in return. To marry her and make her his Luna and together they shall rule both the Northern and southern parks. He had a mate. That, Alexia, reminded him. Of course, he did but he desired her too. He was the Alpha and was allowed to get married to as many women as he so wished. That, he told Alexia.
But Alexia had a condition. They would not copulate until their wedding and her coronation as the ruler of the Northern park. The Alpha had no objections. He desired her and his desire clouded his sense of reason.
