Chapter 4
Olivia had gone out of the room with the thought that her kids would drift off to sleep any moment. Unknown to her, the kids had more in store than just to go to sleep.
" Okay guys, do y'all remember the plan?" Aryan asked his other siblings.
"Yes I do, but I am not sure this pea brain would remember" Adrian scoffed, pointing at Adriana.
" Who are you calling a pea brain jerk! And of course I remember, I am not as dumb as you" Adriana fired back in her cute voice.
" You are the dumb one here Adriana, how can you blurt out that question to mummy in the bathroom? We were meant to keep it a secret dummy!" Adrian fired.
" Enough! Enough guys. You have fought enough. Let's focus on the matter at hand" Aryan spoke up.
He glared at Adriana who wanted to pull Adrian's hair " tomorrow we are going to carry it out, I want you to memorize it and know it by heart"
Just as they were still in a heated discussion, they heard footsteps!
It was coming from their mother.
" Quick! Go back to bed" Aryan panicked as they all laid back and pretended like nothing had happened.
In the morning
Olivia and her children had gone to her rented a house early in the morning. Fortunately, it was all cleaned up by the housekeeper, ready for them to occupy it.
They just had to arrange a few things and keep their belongings in the right places, it took them only half an hour.
"Aryan, take care of your siblings. I am going out to buy some groceries, we are short on them"
" Okay!"
Immediately the door closed behind her, the three children sprinted over to the laptop. Aryan immediately logged into it and opened a news website where President Chester was being interviewed on.
" Wow, Chester, is this our daddy?" Adriana hugged her Barbie doll to her chest.
"Yes, it's dad. And among the three of us you look the most similar to him" Adrian pointed out.
He raised his eyes to the man on the screen so intensely and squinted, " do you remember what you were taught?"
" I bet" Adrian taunted.
" Yes I do! I told you yesterday night and I wasn't joking" she bawled her tiny fists and her little childish voice sounded serious as she spoke, " I'll execute the plan successfully"
After Olivia stepped out of the house, she stopped a cab to take her to the nearest supermarket.
As she went over to the cashier's counter to clear her bills, she heard a very familiar male's voice. " Well..I didn't expect our wedding announcement to go viral"
The voice actually came from a large tv in the store.
"Yeah, as of now, we have no plans for a wedding ceremony as we are both so occupied with our work" on the screen, Harlow explained.
The host let out a short laugh " that is actually true, everyone know your feelings for each other is so deep and genuine, you and president Chester have been together for four years now"
Olivia gripped the trolley's handle tightly, she felt a stab in the chest as she watched her two enemies being all affectionate with each other on the screen.
Five years ago, in the fake will that Harlow had brought, it requested Chester to marry Harlow so that she would fill in the void she had left in his heart. That was how the both of them got engaged publicly.
She felt so hurt, here they were displaying their affection towards each other publicly while she had to hide her real name and identity.
She was so lost in thoughts that she didn't realize when her trolley crashed into someone.
" I am so sorry for.." she raised her head, before she could complete her sentence, her words got stuck to her throat.
Standing in front of her was someone she never expected to see.
The man in front of her was slender and tall. He emitted a cold and arrogant aura as always. It had been five years since she had last seen him and he seemed to have grown even more cold and mature, but as always, so devilishly breathtaking.
Her fingers trembled on the trolley handle, truly, she wasn't expecting to run into him just a day after her arrival.
He glared at her coldly, " are you blind? Don't you look in the direction of where you are going?"
He wasn't able to recognize her because she had completely changed her face. Five years ago, her face was badly altered because of the accident, it was getting inflamed and infected so she had to go under the knife.
Her new face was now so perfect, given to her by the best plastic surgeons in the country. For the first year after her surgery, she found it hard to even recognize herself in the mirror.
She held onto the last strings of her sanity as she took in a deep breath, " I am sorry" she muttered. "I was so carried away in you and your fiance's interview that I didn't know when I crashed into you mistakenly"
"It's alright, so you recognize me?" He asked, a bit surprised.
" Oh my, aren't you the famous President Chester Perkins, the successor of Perkin's group" she flattered.
" Oh..okay. You look familiar, do I know you from somewhere?" He squinted his eyes.
Oh no! Olivia panicked.
Did he recognize her? This was bad!
