5.The Trade Deal
William's POV
I have been continuously yearning for my little she-wolf since our separation. I have given orders to Thomas my beta and most trusted ally to investigate her identity, hoping to learn more about Ava and possibly find a way to reunite with her.
Thomas hesitates, his hesitation is understandable as the investigation into the identity of Ava could lead to potential trouble for the pack if it is being conducted on Blue River Clan territory. The Blue River Clan Alpha, as the leader of the territory, may not appreciate the intrusion of outsiders and may react harshly if he feels his domain is being violated. The concerns of Thomas about the potential risks and consequences of conducting the investigation on Blue River Clan territory are valid.
I am clearly driven by my desire to be with Ava, and I have decided to change my plans in order to stay in the Blue River Clan's territory for a while and be close to my mate, my little she-wolf. My decision to stay in the Blue River Clan territory, despite the potential risks and complications, shows the strength of my determination to be with Ava. I am willing to take risks and endure any challenges that may come my way in order to be with Ava, which speaks to the depth of my love for her.
However, I must consider the safety and well-being of my pack as well, and to carefully weigh the potential consequences of my actions before making any decisions that could put put my pack at risk.
I called for Thomas to make sure he and the other wolves in our pack were prepared to leave for our meeting with the Blue River Clan Alpha. I wanted to make sure that everyone was prepared and ready to set off, and that we had everything we needed for the journey.
"Hey, Thomas," I said as he came into the clearing.
"Just wanted to make sure everyone was ready to leave for the meeting with the Blue River Clan Alpha. We're leaving soon, so let me know if you need anything before we go."
"I'll let everyone know," Thomas said. His voice was calm and collected, but I could sense the excitement in the air.
"We're all excited to get this meeting underway and hopefully come to an agreement with the Blue River Clan Alpha."
"That's the goal," I said nodding. The situation between Robert, the Blue River Clan Alpha and I quickly escalated as we met in the Blue River Clan meeting room to discuss cooperation. The tension and hostility between the two of us is clear from the beginning, as we exchange insults and accusations. My decision to mock Robert and to call him an old-fashioned stubborn wolf shows his lack of tact and diplomatic skills.
I may feel frustrated by Robert's hostility towards me, but my decision to ridicule him only serves to escalate the tension and make the situation worse. Robert's decision to rebuke me and to call me an unserious scoundrel shows his unwillingness to accept the my behaviour. While he may have valid concerns about the my intentions, his decision to resort to insults and accusations only serves to widen the rift between the two of us. It was important for both parties to remember that we were there to discuss cooperation and to find ways to work together for the benefit of our communities.
Instead of exchanging insults and accusations, we should focus on finding common ground and working towards a mutually beneficial solution. Robert should also ensure that the meeting room remains a safe and neutral space and that any hostility or tension between the two of us is kept to a minimum.
My Clan has much more exposure to the outside world and has had many opportunities to acquire new tools and resources. Due to the Blue River Clan's years of isolation, their resources are limited compared to the Shadow Clan.
This difference in resources can create tension between the two clans and make it difficult for us to work together effectively. The Shadow Clan may feel that the Blue River Clan does not have enough to offer in terms of resources, while the Blue River Clan may feel disadvantaged in comparison to the Shadow Clan.
However, it is important for both clans to understand that each has different strengths and weaknesses, and to find ways to work together in a way that benefits both. The Blue River Clan may have valuable knowledge and traditional practices that could be beneficial to the Shadow Clan, while the Shadow Clan may have resources and tools that could be useful to the Blue River Clan.
Robert called for some rum to celebrate the successful conclusion of our negotiations. There was a sense of relief that washed over all of us, and we were all eager to enjoy a moment of celebration. The rum was passed around, and we all took a small sip, nodding at each other in silent agreement.
It had been a long and difficult negotiation, but we had all worked hard to come to an agreement that was fair and beneficial for both of our packs.
The trade deal would mean a regular supply of food and other resources for both of our clans, and we all felt a sense of accomplishment at having arrived at a mutually beneficial solution.
As we raised our cups of rum in silent toast to our success, I felt a sense of pride in my pack, in the work we had done, and in the future that lay ahead for all of us.
Due to the trade deal with my Clan, during the transportation of goods, I will stay in the Blue River Clan territory for half a month. However, as the discussion came to an end, I noticed that Robert, the leader of the Blue River Clan, seemed to be particularly hostile towards me. I found it odd, as I have always treated the other clans with respect and even offered to cooperate with them in the past.
I decided to approach Robert and ask him about his demeanor.
"Sir Robert, is there something bothering you?" I asked. With a serious look on his face that nurtured his young facial wrinkles, he spoke quite audibly.
"For the two weeks or so that you will be here, you should stay away from my daughter, William. She is not for trading." With a light hearted smile I replied.
"Oh, I didn't know that. My apologies. I will make sure to stay away from her." I was not the type of wolf to back down when being faced with a bully.
In fact, I was often the one in charge, taking the lead in any negotiation or agreement. My pack and clan had a strong hierarchy, and I was used to being at the top of it.
One example of this was when I was negotiating with another pack over a supply we made to them. They had a strong alpha male who tried to intimidate me, but I stood my ground, showing him that I was not someone to be messed with. He eventually backed down, and we were able to reach a fair and equitable agreement that benefited both packs.
Another time was when I was purchasing supplies for my pack. I always made sure to get the best price possible, and I was not afraid to use my position and influence to get what I wanted. I knew how to be firm and assertive without being overly aggressive, and I always made sure to get the best deal for my pack. The other clan leaders were surprised by my reaction, as they would have expected me to defend myself and argue with Robert. Instead, I playfully agreed to stay away from Robert's daughter and walked away.
At this point, it hadn't dawned on me yet that my little she-wolf was his daughter. The same daughter I just agreed to stay away from. After our meeting with the Blue River Clan Alpha, Thomas and I come across Ava and her friend in the hallway. As I sensed the familiar scent in the air, a sense of excitement washed over me. I knew that my little she-wolf has appeared, and I can't help but feel happy to see her again.
The intoxicating fragrance of her perfume brings back memories of the night at the festival, and I begin to smile uncontrollably. I am ecstatic to be in her presence again, and can't wait to spend more time with her. I see her walking down the corridor with her friend, and I can't help but admire her beauty.
I smiled as I looked over at her, she was wearing a stunning white flowing gown and a beautiful tiara that sparkled in the light. She looked like the picture of elegance and grace, and I melted as she walked towards Thomas and me with her friend. She is even more stunning than I remembered, and I feel as if I am in the presence of a goddess. Her friend notices my excitement and gives me a playful wink, understanding what had caught my attention.
