Chapter 26
Lance turned to look at Pixel who was biting her bottom lip while staring down at him. He traced her eyes to where they were fixated on and realized he was stark naked.
"Ugh," he grunted and reached for the sheets, covering himself with them.
"Are you shy, baby?" She said in a seductive tone.
"You had enough last night. I want you out before I'm done with bathing." He was about to make his way to the bathroom when he noticed Pixel wearing one of his clothes.
"Is that mine?" He spoke with an irritated undertone.
"Yes. Is there a problem?" Pixel replied calmly.
He walked back to the bed, the sheet still draped around his waist.
"Pixel!" Lance called. "I know it might be hard for you to understand but I don't want you anymore."
"That means I don't want you wearing my clothes, or being anywhere around me!" He stated.
"Why Lance? Was it something I did? I'm ready to apologize." She said, sounding desperate.
"It's not you, Pixel, I just don't want this anymore." He said.
"You've found someone else, haven't you?" She said, her eyes starting to tear up.
"Let's not get started on this..." His irritation was starting to rise.
Pixel opened her mouth to say something when the doorbell interrupted her. Lance glared at her with a look that said to keep quiet while he attended to the person at the door.
Lance opened the door to someone holding a tray of food. Surprised at the sight, he said, "Sorry I don't remember ordering any food."
"Someone called from this room and ordered breakfast for two," The hotel attendant said in his defense.
Pixel came up behind Lance and said. "I ordered the food," she walked past Lance took the food from the man, and walked back inside. Lance rolled his eyes and closed the door. He paid no attention to her while she devoured the food and kept his aside.
He grabbed his towel and Pixel wasn't looking, he fell the sheet to the ground and wrapped the towel around his waist. He walked into the bathroom, brushed his teeth, and took his bath.
He came out, took out some clothes from the closet, and put in on as he took his seat beside Pixel but making sure that their bodies didn't touch, and had his own breakfast. All the while he ate, Pixel stared at him.
He grabbed the pitcher glass filled with orange juice and poured a reasonable quantity into a glass cup.
He chugged it down before picking up his phone and answering his texts. He could feel Pixel's gaze upon him and it made him extremely uncomfortable. Why wouldn't she just leave him alone? He turned in her direction and said, "So when are you leaving?"
"Soon," she replied.
He knew she didn't mean what she said. He hoped his father wasn't aware that Pixel was here, he didn't know if his father was going to be mad but he knew that his father would say that Pixel was a form of distraction to him.
He scrolled his phone till he got to his Uber app. "I'm getting an Uber for you," he said as he imputed the details of her house address.
"Lance!" She exclaimed. "I don't want to go home yet. I want to be with you for a couple of hours."
"Pixel, what part of I don't want you around me don't you understand?" His tone heightened as he questioned.
"Fine, I'll leave but you'll regret this!"
"Sure," he said nonchalantly. "The uber is here."
Pixel changed out of his clothes into the one she wore to the hotel last night. She grabbed her bag and stormed out of the room.
Lance sighed and put his face into his palms. He heard a knock on the door thinking that it was Pixel, he shouted. "What the hell do you want Pixel." But no response came, instead another knock rested on the door. Growing angry, he walked toward the door to lock it so that Pixel wouldn't gain access.
Another knock rested on the door and this time a voice came. "Boss, your father requests your presence."
Lance recognized the voice as one of his father's bodyguards. He opened it quickly and the bodyguard greeted him. "Good morning boss, your father requests your presence."
Lance's heart skipped a beat. He came outside of the room and closed the door behind him. "Wh...why does he want to see me?" Lance stuttered.
"I don't know why boss," the guard replied.
"Did my father see Pixel leave the hotel,"
"Yes, boss" the guard replied.
Lance felt his heart in his hand. He wasn't prepared to face his Father's angered rants this morning. "Thank you," Lance said to the guard as he turned to open the door of his room.
"Boss?" The guard called.
Lance turned to answer. "Yeah."
"Your father requests your presence," the guard repeated when he saw that Lance was about to make his way into his room.
"Oh," Lance said as if remembering what had brought the guard to his room in the first place. "I'll be down in a moment. Let me get changed into something more decent."
The guard nodded his head and walked away immediately.
Lance got changed and braced himself for whatever his father was going to say. He was thankful that it wasn't his fault that Pixel kept on coming back because he had broken up with her already.
Lance got to his father's room, took a deep breath, and knocked on the door. He heard his father tell him to come in. He braced himself again, turned the knob and got inside.
On the chair beside the bed sat Pixel comfortably sipping from a glass cup.
"Pixel? What the hell are you doing here?" Lance shouted. He rushed forward and grabbed her by the arm and tried to drag her out of the room.
"Let go of me you brute!" Pixel yelled as she winced in pain.
The door opened and Jonathan strolled into the room as he looked from Lance to Pixel. "What's happening here?" He voiced out.
Lance's grip loosened when he saw his father and Pixel yanked her hand from him and got up. She went over to Jonathan, put her hand over his shoulder, and kissed him on the cheek. "What took you so long babe?"
"Babe?!!" Lance exclaimed as his jaw dropped.
