Uterine examination
Lucian did not shoot Sarah; instead, he simply puffed a shot into the wall above Sarah's head. The girl gasped, her breath coming in gasps, faced with such intense fear. All this Lucian did to scare Sarah.
"Listen carefully, you must beg me not to kill you!" he threatened, his sharp gaze penetrating Sarah's eyes.
Sarah, with no other choice, had to submit to this situation. She begged hesitantly, "Please, don't kill me."
"You think you can be reckless with me? That's the result if you're insolent and dare to challenge me!" said Lucian in a cold voice full of arrogance. Lucian then ordered his guards to untie the ropes that bound Sarah.
The guards quickly loosened the ropes, binding Sarah. The girl felt an instant relief as the weight on her wrists disappeared. However, Lucian's menacing presence still made her feel trapped in uncertainty.
After eating the food Lucian had given her and taking a shower, Sarah found Lucian back in his room. The air was tense, characterized by Lucian's mysterious smile that gave her goosebumps.
"I have a favorable offer for you. I will grant you your freedom as long as you fulfill my request," Lucian said calmly.
Sarah looked at him, her expression reflecting confusion and worry. "I have to carry your child?" asked Sarah in a doubtful tone.
"Why? What's the problem?" asked Lucian with a flat face.
"Why should I?" snapped Sarah, seeking understanding.
"You're beautiful and young. So, why not?" replied Lucian lightly.
"Aren't there other alternatives?" asked Sarah, trying to find a way out.
"Unfortunately, no. It's the only option I've allowed," said Lucian firmly.
Sarah was silent for a moment, thinking hard. "What if I refuse?" she asked cautiously.
Lucian replied severely, "You will fall prey to the werewolves during the full moon. They will smell the human odor and chase you."
Sarah's face changed, looking frightened and anxious. "I need time to think about it," she said with a trembling heart.
Lucian watched her calmly respond to his question, making a concerted effort to conceal his own fear,he pondered for a moment, then smiled, "Interesting. I like it." The atmosphere remained tense, and Sarah realized she had to face a difficult choice in this dark world.
However, the tension suddenly changed when Lucian returned with a stern face. "I don't like the way you talk. Change it! Or, you'll really die at my hands!" Lucian said in a creeping, threatening tone.
Lucian left Sarah's room without giving her a chance to respond. Sarah could only clench her fists and grunt in frustration. "Damn werewolf. How could he keep threatening me," Sarah grumbled, trying to hide her fear.
Lucian's voice rang out again, this time from outside the room, "What did you just say?"
Sarah was shocked and panicked. "I said, that you're very handsome, Sir," she replied quickly, trying to cover her grumbling.
Lucian stepped forward with a piercing gaze that exuded power. The next day, he presented Sarah with a new offer, one he was sure she would not be able to refuse.
"Don't think too long. I'm only giving you until today," he said in a cold voice that sent chills down Sarah's spine.
"But, sir, you didn't say that before," Sarah said hesitantly.
Lucian approached with steady steps, creating a narrowing distance between them. Worry engulfed Sarah, realizing that Lucian could do whatever he wanted. Lucian whispered something into Sarah's ear in a soft but threatening voice, "If you agree to bear a child for me, you will no longer live in this underground room. You will live in the upper house. All your servants and needs will be met."
Burdened by her cramped and filthy conditions, Sarah nodded in agreement, "Very well, Lord. I will bear a son for you."
Lucian smiled with satisfaction. "A wise decision. You will not regret it."
However, inside Sarah's heart, an inner battle continued to rage, "What will happen next? But, I want to leave here. Even if I give birth to his child, I'm sure I won't be able to love that child. After all, this is all for the sake of my freedom."
With great hope, Lucian ordered Sarah to have the condition of her womb checked by a doctor she could trust.
"Today, you must have the condition of your womb checked by a doctor. Make sure that you can actually get pregnant!" said Lucian, putting determination into his words.
"Very well, Sir," Sarah replied in a trembling voice, encapsulating the uncertainty within her.
"Don't ever try to escape while you're there. Even if I'm not there, my many bodyguards will accompany you. Understood?" asked Lucian, emphasizing the boundary Sarah had to respect.
Sarah nodded, trying to hide her fear. When the time came, they arrived at a luxurious hospital, a far cry from how things had been before. Sarah felt like she had been thrown from one dark world into a brighter one, although Lucian still held her destiny.
Inside the hospital, Sarah was greeted by a friendly-looking female doctor. Lucian ensured the doctor treated her well, according to his instructions.
"Don't worry, Sarah. Doctor Renata will examine you thoroughly," Andrea, a female bodyguard, said before deciding to wait outside the examination room.
Despite feeling uncomfortable with her situation, Sarah tried to maintain her courage and dignity. Doctor Renata explained the examination procedure with great tenderness, creating an environment that slightly eased Sarah's emotional burden.
After the examination was over, Doctor Renata gave Lucian a report. "Everything is in good condition, ma'am, you seem to be in a condition to conceive."
Sarah smiled with satisfaction, though her smile was more contentment at her conformity to her plan than happiness at the good news.
Exiting the doctor's office, Sarah stepped carefully through the hospital hallways. Suddenly, the shadow of a very familiar female figure appeared in the distance. Convinced that it was her mother, Sarah thoughtlessly tried to chase after her.
However, the misinterpretation of some of the guards complicated Sarah's plans. They quickly assumed that Sarah was trying to escape Lucian's watchful eye. As if misinterpreting Sarah's good intentions, they flocked after her.
"Don't try to escape Mr. Lucian!" one of the guards shouted, his loud voice breaking the silence of the hospital corridor.
"Sorry, that's not what I'm trying to do. There's someone I need to see," Sarah explained breathlessly, trying to explain her situation to the bodyguards.
"Don't make so many excuses. You should go home immediately. Before Mr. Lucian scolds you again," one of the bodyguards exclaimed in a tone of non-negotiable firmness.
Sarah was frustrated that bodyguard had misunderstood her good intentions. She saw her chances of meeting her mother slipping away. Nevertheless, she realized that arguing with the guards who insisted on taking her back to Lucian's whereabouts was impossible.
"Never mind, we're just carrying out Mr. Lucian's orders," the other bodyguards said with some sympathy. Although they saw the confusion in Sarah's eyes, obedience to Lucian's orders took precedence over making room for personal desires.
With heavy steps, Sarah followed the bodyguards, who took her back to her gloomy world. She held a sense of disappointment and regret in her heart, wondering if she would ever get the chance to see her mother again.
Arriving at Lucian's residence, Sarah was greeted by a palpable tension in the air. Lucian, who was already aware of the incident at the hospital, waited with a severe expression.
"Why are you trying to escape?" asked Lucian, immediately slapping Sarah's left cheek without giving Sarah a chance to explain.
