Punishment
Lucian sternly ordered, "Lock her in the room!"
Sarah felt out of control and helpless as Lucian ordered his guards to confine her in the room. The room was not the dirty, dark place it had been before; however, the emptiness within created a sense of emptiness that was difficult to express. She surrendered, allowing herself to be guided into her captivity.
A bodyguard with a broad chest led Sarah into a room that now looked more like a luxurious prison. The walls were adorned with expensive artwork, but a lonely feel permeated the room. Lucian, who had previously given her a cold stare, now smiled contentedly as the door to the room slammed shut behind him.
Sarah shot Lucian a cold stare after the question he asked. "The doctor only told me about the possibilities," she said sharply.
Lucian tried to change his tone, becoming softer. "You can get pregnant, right?" he asked again.
However, Sarah remained silent, leaving the question hanging in the air. Lucian felt frustrated, detailing his annoyance, "Does your hobby always make me angry?"
Unable to take it anymore, Sarah looked at him wearily, and a tear fell. There was a sharp cry from Lucian and, soon after, a long sigh from Sarah.
Lucian took a deep breath, realizing it was time to give Sarah space to reflect. "Maybe you need some time alone," he said, trying to calm things down.
For a moment, silence filled the room. Sarah stared out the window, trying to strategize how to get out of Lucian's house.
Meanwhile, Lucian left the house. He went to Renata's doctor, who was examining Sarah.
"What can I do for you?" he asked.
Lucian asked, "I've been trying to contact you. But, like, you were really busy. So, I came here to ask you something."
"What is it?"
"The girl named Sarah who came here. Can she carry a baby?"
"She can. Her womb is in very good condition," said Doctor Renata.
Hearing this, Lucian quickly excused himself from Renata's clinic. Lucian returned to his house at a fast pace. He tried to enter Sarah's room, but the door was locked.
"Why did you lock the door? You have no right to do that. Now, you are mine!" Lucian shouted.
Forced, Sarah opened the door. She asked, "What's wrong, sir?"
"You are now mine. Don't you ever feel that this is your home! You are just a game to me!" Lucian said harshly.
"But, Mr, you'd better let me go. Because, I can't get pregnant. I can't give you offspring."
Sarah was forced to lie. She did so out of fear. Lucian smiled sarcastically. Then he said, "You think I believe you? Doctor Renata said that you can have children. Why did you dare lie to me? Who do you think you are?"
Lucian raged in his heart. He felt the need to punish Sarah for lying to him. He didn't know how to trust her again after what had happened.
"Please, sir. I'm not lying," Sarah said as she tearfully pleaded with Lucian.
"I know you're lying," Lucian replied as he looked at Sarah's pale face.
Sarah looked scared and nervous. She knew that Lucian was very angry with her now and didn't know what would happen to her later.
Lucian ordered his guards to remove Sarah from her room and throw her into a dark, cramped space. The room was almost empty except for a thin mattress in the corner, almost devoid of fresh, damp air.
"Now, you will get your punishment, Sarah," Lucian said, looking straight at the girl.
Sarah tried to keep her eyes from showing her fear and nervousness. She knew that Lucian would torture her even more.
"But, sir. I have admitted my mistake and apologized. Please don't punish me in this way," Sarah said as she burst into tears.
Lucian didn't want to listen to Sarah's defense. For him, Sarah's lies had made his heart hurt and had to be accounted for.
Then, Lucian called one of his guards to bring the whip. Sarah, who saw this, immediately begged for forgiveness with a trembling voice.
"Please sir, don't do this to me. I promise not to do it again," Sarah said in panic.
However, Lucian didn't need any excuses. He had already decided to torture Sarah cruelly.
"You're too lie, Sarah. Now, you must accept your painful punishment," Lucian said in a cold and hoarse tone.
Sarah felt scared and helpless as the guards brought the whip and prepared to beat her body, and every time the whip touched her body, pain, and heat seemed to fill her entire body.
Over and over, Lucian ordered the guards to beat Sarah with the whip, almost making her lose consciousness. All the slaps, swats, and lashes made Sarah weaker and more injured.
Sarah felt broken and could no longer endure. She knew that the pain and hurt she suffered would never go away.
All of this made Lucian feel satisfied. He thought that Sarah had gotten her punishment. He hoped that Sarah would never repeat her mistake. Or, be arrogant to her again.
After Lucian saw the blood flowing down her body, he ordered the guards to heal her wounds. After a series of medical treatments, Sarah finally recovered from her injuries. Sarah opened her eyes slowly and smelled the strong odor of alcohol and drugs. Without thinking, Sarah immediately asked the doctor, who looked at her kindly.
"Have you recovered?" the doctor asked.
"Help me, Doc. Free me from Lucian. He's a cruel werewolf. I'm like this because of him," Sarah whispered weakly.
The doctor was silent momentarily before finally smiling kindly, promising to help her regardless of who or what Lucian was. Sarah was relieved to hear that, feeling like she had gained a considerable boost in her fight against Lucian.
"Very well, ma'am. I will help you. However, you should rest here for a while," the doctor said kindly.
Sarah nodded in understanding, feeling that the situation warranted a few days of rest in the ward. After a few days, she asked if she could go home.
"Doctor, can I go home now?" Sarah asked.
"You can go home now. Your guardian is waiting for you outside," he said.
Excitement lit up in Sarah's eyes. Her conviction was unshakeable that the people waiting for her were her family. Quickly, Sarah stepped outside. There, she found a very frightening figure. Lucian was looking at her with a sinister smile. Without hesitation, Sarah ran to avoid Lucian.
