Threatening with a knife

Carefully, Sarah opened the door to her room slightly, trying to see who was knocking. Lucian, with an angry expression on his face, entered the room without permission.

"Who were you peeping at?" demanded Lucian, his gaze piercing Sarah.

Sarah tried to hold back fear, "I didn't mean to peek, Sir. I just wanted to know what was going on in the house."

"Listen carefully, never again step outside your room without permission. You have no right to pry into other people's private affairs," Lucian warned sternly.

Sarah nodded, feeling cornered in her little room. Lucian left her room with a firm step, but his expression hadn't completely subsided. Sarah sat on the edge of her bed, trying to ease the tension.

Marco tried to calm down a visibly shaken Esme in the living room. "Calm down, Esme. Lucian is probably just surprised. We have to find a good way to solve this problem."

Esme nodded, trying to hide her fear. "But what am I supposed to do? He doesn't even trust me."

Marco gave an encouraging smile, "We'll find the evidence we need. I'll help you, Esme."

Lucian returned to the living room. He went to see Esme. Seeing Marco calming Esme down, Lucian immediately told Marco to take her home.

"Take her home!" said Lucian.

"Okay," said Marco.

Marco tried to reassure Esme on the way home, "We will solve this problem, Esme. I'm sure Lucian will listen once we find the necessary evidence."

Esme nodded weakly, still shaken by the incident. "I just don't understand why he's so angry. I had no ill intentions. Marco just wanted a baby boy. He also said that I should abort my pregnancy if the baby were a girl."

"I told you, Marco wants solid evidence. What if we faked the evidence?"

Esme immediately looked at Marco. She asked, "What do you mean?"

"We have to fake proof from the Doctor that your child is a girl. I can arrange that. It's all straightforward, Esme," Marco said.

"Are you sure, Marco?" she asked.

"Don't worry, I can do it for you," Marco said.

"Marco, thank you," Esme hugged Marco.

Sarah was still sitting at the end of her bed, digesting the tense encounter with Lucian. She knew she needed to find the woman who had chatted with Lucian.

"I think I need to find that woman. There are things I want to ask her. But how do I look for her? I'm in prison here," Sarah said.

Cautiously, Sarah decided to try to leave Lucian's house under the pretence of needing to go to the hospital. She knocked lightly on his bedroom door, hoping to convince Lucian.

"What are you doing knocking on my door?" he asked.

"Sir, I need to go to the hospital immediately. I'm not feeling well and need to get immediate medical attention."

"No way!" snapped Lucian, his face growing tense.

"But, why, Sir?" asked Sarah, trying to understand Lucian's refusal.

Lucian shot Sarah a glare. He leaned closer, pressing his forefinger towards Sarah's forehead as if trying to get the message across with physical force.

"Have you forgotten what you did in the hospital back then? You were trying to escape from me. So, I won't let you this time!"

Sarah said fearfully, "Sir, I promise I won't do that again. I want to get the medical treatment I need."

"That's your word, not easy for me to believe. Now, go to your room. I'll call a doctor for you!"

With a heavy heart, Sarah followed Lucian's orders. While in her room, she mused about how to get out of this complicated situation. She understood she had to find a more ingenious way to gain freedom.

Meanwhile, in the living room, Marco and Esme are trying to devise a plan to find evidence proving that the child Esme is carrying is a girl. Marco felt overwhelmed by the situation but was confident they could solve it together.

"We need strong evidence, Marco. Lucian won't believe just our word," Esme said softly.

Marco nodded, "I know, Esme. I'll contact my doctor friend to help us produce convincing forged documents."

Esme remained sceptical, but she understood that this was a necessary step. They began carefully planning the following steps, hoping to gain Lucian's trust.

Back in Sarah's room, she pondered how to contact the mysterious woman who spoke with Lucian.

"I must meet with that woman to be free of Lucian," she thought.

Meanwhile, Lucian had summoned a doctor to examine Sarah. He didn't want to take any risks regarding Sarah's health.

"Mr. Lucian, are you ill? You look so healthy," the Doctor said.

"It's not me who's sick. It's a girl. You can cure her, can't you?"

"Of course. Indeed, what are the symptoms?"

"I'm not sure. We'd better go to her room," Lucian said.

Lucian led the Doctor to Sarah's room. Lucian knocked on Sarah's door. This time, he waited for Sarah to open the door.

"What is it, sir?" asked Sarah.

"Don't you need a doctor's help?" asked Lucian.

On her bed, Sarah was examined. However, the Doctor raised his eyebrows in surprise. Sarah did not look sick at all. Also, there were no visible signs of illness in Sarah.

"Sarah, what are you feeling?"

"I..."

Sarah stammered. Moreover, the stare from Lucian made her even more depressed. Sarah tried to lie again, "I, uh, feel a little dizzy. Can you give me some medicine?"

"Sarah, are you not lying? Are you sick?" asked Lucian.

Sarah nodded fearfully. She was worried that the Doctor would tell Lucian that she was only pretending to be sick.

The Doctor took note of Sarah's complaints. However, his facial expression showed that Sarah's words did not convince him.

After prescribing Sarah some medicine, the Doctor left the room with the advice, "Make sure to get enough rest and take this medicine. If the symptoms persist, we should do further examination."

Lucian ushered the Doctor to the door, "Thank you, Doctor. I hope Sarah will recover soon."

Lucian returned to Sarah's room. He wanted to see Sarah's condition. Sarah was lying weakly on her bed with a blanket covering her whole body.

"Are you sick?"

A nod was all Lucian could see. Soon, he returned to his room. The next day, Lucian asked a servant to bring food to Sarah's room.

Sarah, with a knife in her hand, threatened the servant, "If you scream, this knife will kill you. Do everything I ask!"
