2. CAPTURED

JAYDA

The flashbacks were taunting, seeing my mother's face full of terror and anguish, she knew that she was going to die but she did not want to give me up anyways.

I looked at the silver pendant again, this is the only thing I have left of her, as for my father and brother, I have nothing left of them.

Twelve years ago, my father was the Alpha of the most superior pack in the west, he was loved by many and also hated by many.

He was hated for his love for my mother, a wolf from an eastern pack. For centuries the easterners and westerners were rivals, they hated eachother so much and waged several wars against eachother.

Wars that ended the bloodline of families, wars that overthrone alphas and wars that caused even greater enemities between packs.

My family was not exempted, my father, my mother amd brother, all dead of the ancient rivalries against the eastern and western packs.

The best place to be was the south, far from the travails of east-western war. I had to change my name from Aurora to Jayda, so no one would know my true identity, that was the only way I could protect myself.

DAEMON

"Are you sure that is her?" I asked my Beta as we watched the absent minded Luna, she held onto a pendant and had her eyes transfixed on it.

"Yes, she is the healer? They say she is the most powerful healer there is" Beta Axel replied, we both glared at her, his focus unwavering.

With a subtle nod, I signaled the few members of our pack to move further and close in on Luna Jayda.

The air grew charged with tension as we awaited the opportune moment to execute the plan that had been plotted, we have been searching for a way to get Luna Jayda without going into her pack and now we have found her, all alone in the woods, daydreaming whilst clutching onto her pendant.

As we closed in on her, I couldn't help but notice her sensing something, it was like she knew she was not alone.

Her gaze darted around, fear evident in her eyes.

Realization dawned on her as the wolves from my pack walked from the depths of the woods, encircling her like a predators, ready to pounce on our prey, we were here for a much bigger purpose.

She took her stance, ready to battle my wolves irrespective of the fact that she would be killed if we were here for an ambush.

I stepped forward, my presence drawing her attention.

"Luna Jayda" I declared, my voice resonating with authority,

"You are needed in our pack. Come with us" I urged her, she glared at me quizzically.

"Who are you? What do you want from me?" She asked, I could hear her voice trembling but she tried to mask it.

"I am Alpha Daemon from the Dark moon western pack........" At the utterance of my identity her brows creased in fear.

"I do not want to do this forcefully so I am giving you an offer, leave your pack and come with us, we will not harm you but refuse this offer and suffer the consequences" I threatened maniacally.

"I can not leave my pack, I am not coming with you, do your worst!" She retorted. I knew it would lead to this and if we had come to her pack to take her with us, we would have suffered dearly in the hands of her Alpha.

Luckily we were able to trace her here, alone, thanks to the help of an inside source.

"I warned you, we can do this the hard or easy way, we need you and we must take you" I gave a nod to the members of my pack and at once they closed in her.

With claws sharper than knife, she gave a befitting hit to one of my pack members, sending him to the floor.

The clash of claws and the scent of blood intensified as Jayda fought fiercely, displaying a strength that caught me off guard. She may have been an unsuspecting healer, but she was a strong fighter.

My pack members regrouped. They circled Jayda with a predatory precision, determined to capture her all means.

As my pack went after her again, my Beta delivered a hit that sent her unconscious instantly.

They picked her up and carried her limp body. We finally had what we came for, after so many months of trying to get the powerful healer, Luna Jayda is now destined to join our pack.

Now, she is in our custody, we held the key to our survival. Very soon her Alpha would be on his way to hunt us down and take back his Luna but by then, we would be ready.

The journey back to the Dark Moon western pack was laden with contemplation, what if we let Luna Jayda go, we would risk our only hope of getting healed, if we do not let go as soon as possible, we would wage a war against her pack and loose many of ours.

As I watched her lifeless form been carried by my pack, I could not help but notice her beautiful features.

She had her hair cascaded in silky waves, a flowing frame for her face.

Her lips bore a gentle curve, the contours of her face were perfectly shaped.

She had soft eyes, and an alluring body.

"Luna Jayda!" I heard from a distance,

without an introduction, I could tell that it

was one of her pack members.

"Don't stop, I will handle it" I told my Beta and the crew, I was ready to fight at all cost, my pack and the entire western packs have suffered a great loss from the scorpion plague and now we have found the best healer in every region, I would lay my life to have her in my pack.

I turned to see four wolves, scowling angrily at me. I approached the wolves, digging my sharp claws to the ground, gnashing my teeth whilst closing the distance.

They seemed terrified but they were ready to die anyways, in a split second I rushed on them, peeling their flesh with my claws, one by one i devoured them, savoring the taste of fear that lingered in the air as their futile struggles ceased, leaving only the echoes of their whimpers in the air.

I stood there glaring at their lifeless bodies all around me, blood leaving their pale skins.

I have finally fulfilled my promises to my people, I will surpass my father's legacy at all cost.

Soon her pack would be coming for us but I have one weapon against them, Luna Jayda.
