Chapter Three
Aurora's POV
I stared at the gentleman for some time, the fact that he was in our cafe baffled me a lot.
"Was he stalking me," I whispered to myself, still confused at the whole thing.
"But he didn't even see my face or maybe he opened my mask last night. Gosh, why is all this happening?" I panicked in fear.
I quickly excused myself when I noticed he wasn't paying attention to me. I was about to go into the restroom when my boss came out of his office.
"And where do you think you are going?" He demanded, looking closely at me as I tried to form words from my mouth.
"Aurora, don't tell me you came to work late again?" He asked with a deep frown.
"Huh, It’s...not…" I stuttered.
"This would be the last time I pardon you for coming late to work. The next time you try it I would have no choice but to fire you," he said with a note of finality.
"And where are you going to when there are lots of customers that haven't been attended to? Get back to work right now." He said and I had no choice but to go back to the counter.
Camilla was tending to people's orders when I got back and she gave me a "Are you alright look."
"What is wrong with Auro? You look worried.”
"I'm fine," I replied to her but my eyes were on the man I had a nightstand with who was seated in the cafe.
She traced the direction I was looking at and when she saw who I was staring at she nudged me "Quite drooling, he isn't even looking at your side." She nonchalantly looked at me with a silly smile.
"Cut the crap cammy, I wasn't drooling at him."
"Oh please, you have been staring at him since he got in here. And you are telling me you ain't drooling at him." She said still with her silly smile on, I hate Cammy teasing me she is always frustrating whenever she does it.
"I wasn't."
"No, you were."
"I wasn't honestly."
"You don't have to lie to me, I know you were and I can't blame you for that. I mean he's so good looking that one couldn't resist. And with just a look one can tell that he is rich, I mean imagine me having a one night stand with him." She gushed at how handsome he was imagining different rubbish in her head. I chuckled at her childishness.
"He is the one."
"Yes babe I can't wait to be on his bed screaming out his name while he drills me faster," she continued with her wild imagination ignoring what I said.
"Don't you feel we are a perfect match, huh?" she said, blinking her cute eyes. I hit her forehead gently. " Snap out of it girl."
"What was that for," she responded, frowning rubbing gently on where I hit.
"To bring you out of your stupid imagination."
"I have something to tell you," I said, sounding so serious.
"What is that?"
"That's the man I had a one-night stand with last night." I dropped the bombshell, feeling a little shy at the revelation. Camilla looked at me shocked like I had just said something so ridiculous.
"You are lying right." She asked, looking at me with so much focus.
"No, I'm not, I'm serious." I said. She still found it unbelievable but when she figured out I wasn't lying she screamed out in happiness attracting people's attention to us.
"Keep your voice down. People are watching," I cautioned her.
"Well I don't care, oh my gosh!” She exclaimed excitedly. “You got your cherry popped by a fucking demigod Aurora." She gushed happily and I was shy at how she put it.
"Hmm, I guess.” I replied shyly, picking at my nails at intervals.
"You know what, you tell me all about it later but firstly, take this." She pushed a coffee tray at me and I looked at her surprisingly.
"That's his order, go give it to him and make sure you act all sweet when you get there.” she said. And I nodded my head negatively but Camilla wasn't having that.
"No, you will serve him. Fighting." she cheered me on and winked at me before continuing what she was doing left with no choice I headed straight to his table.
"Good afternoon sir. This is your order." I said placing it down gently on his table,"
"Is there anything else you would want sir?" I asked politely. I could swear my heart was beating fast and I was just trying my best to comfort myself.
"No, you can go.” He said as he took a sip from his coffee, his face changed into a disapproving one and I wondered why.
"Eww! What the trash is this?” He spat out the coffee from his mouth making it splash on my dress. He yelled angrily.
"You really don't know how to make a simple americano coffee. He said rudely to me “I don't understand why people employ stupid and slow-witted people at work" he continued with the yell. Everybody's attention was already on us by now.
I looked at him in disbelief.
"Excuse me?"
"I'm sorry sir, I will get you another one.”
I went back to the counter. I quickly whipped up another one for him. Making sure it was perfect in every way. I brought it back to the table hoping it would meet his expectations this time. Ignoring Camilla's question and the customers' stares.
"Here it is, sir." I placed the coffee on the table and waited for him to taste it.
"What is this?” He yelled again. “How can you make such horrible coffee and serve it to me? Do you guys have such bad taste or what?" he said, pointing at the coffee disgustedly.
~Sigh~
I heaved a deep sigh looking at him with so much annoyance. I couldn't believe this was somebody I spent a night with. This rude, arrogant man? He might not have recognized me as the girl he spent the night with but I was upset he was being this rude to a female.
"You don't have to come out this rude to lay your complaint, you know that right?” I said angrily but my voice still found a way to come out calm.
"And who are you to tell me how to address people?” He said angrily. I felt my blood boiling in anger and rage but still managed to wear a fake smile.
"Well, at least my coffee is better than your attitude." I said sassily with a bold smile. He was taken aback by my response and was lost for words, I smiled satisfactorily at the look on his face.
