Chapter 2

"Unbelievable," he exclaimed, his disbelief evident in his voice.

"S-Savannah?" he stuttered, his voice filled with surprise.

"It's Clara, an omega from a small town in Arizona. I brought her and her mother here to keep them safe," Elijah explained.

"The rogues were chasing her because they mistook her for Savannah Ferocity," Elijah added.

"Yes, she bears a striking resemblance," he agreed.

"And I know you've missed seeing her beautiful face," Elijah teased, a playful tone in his voice.

"Enough with the jokes, Elijah!" he said, his forehead creasing in a frown.

"Am I mistaken, Alpha?" Elijah asked him.

"But this woman is a nerd and homeless. They're completely different!" he scoffed.

"Regardless, I don't care," he added dismissively.

"But your reaction says it all, Alpha," Elijah said, a knowing smile on his face.

"Stop joking around, Elijah. Savannah doesn't deserve a strong and powerful Alpha like me, even if she is the Lycan king's daughter," he boasted.

He may appear charming and handsome, but his words and actions tell a different story.

"I've always said women mean nothing to me. They're either trash or a plaything in bed," he taunted.

His words dripped with arrogance, igniting a fire of anger within me. He treated women as mere objects, and it sickened me to my core.

Despite his attractive appearance, his words revealed a shallow and selfish nature. With his piercing green eyes and chiseled jaw, he looked like the epitome of perfection, but his words painted a different picture.

"I've lost count of how many women I've used and discarded," he bragged.

"Do you want to be one of them?" he hissed.

The contempt I felt towards Alpha Henrick was overwhelming. He had no regard for women, and the thought of him exploiting them made my heart ache. I clenched my fists, trying to contain the anger that surged through me. His words were like a slap in the face, and I struggled to keep my silence. But ultimately, I failed to hold back my response.

I spoke with conviction, emphasizing that his position of power did not grant him the right to demean and insult women. I made it clear that we, as women, deserve respect and love just like any other human being.

However, he scoffed at my words, displaying his arrogance in every pore of his being. He arrogantly questioned my audacity as an omega to lecture him, dismissing me as a mere speck in his world.

Undeterred, I asserted that despite being an omega, I possessed a voice that I would use to defend the honor of women. I firmly stated that he had no right to toy with their emotions and leave them broken-hearted. In response, he sneered at me, his eyes ablaze with fury. Boasting about his status as the Alpha of the Bloody Dark Pack, he questioned my authority to dictate his actions.

I reminded him that as an alpha, he should consider the potential harm he may cause to others. This seemed to strike a nerve, as he emotionally burst out, reminding me of the time I had rejected him in front of everyone. His words caught me off guard, leaving my mind struggling to comprehend his perspective. Elijah, who had been observing the exchange, turned away in disgust.

With a final push, he commanded me to leave his presence. Despite his alpha voice echoing in my mind, I refused to be silenced. Curious about his intentions, I asked him to repeat what he had said. His response was a bellowing demand, his voice reverberating through the empty hall.

Disappointed, I gazed at him, realizing that he was not the alpha I had hoped he would be. With a heavy heart, I turned to Elijah, awaiting his response. Elijah urged me to leave, and I obediently followed him out of the room.

As we walked away, my heart shattered, and I couldn't help but question why Alpha Henrick took pleasure in insulting and discriminating against women. I also noticed his evident disdain for my presence, prompting me to wonder if it was solely because I resembled Savannah. Who is she, and what significance does she hold in his life?

"Do you trust me?" Elijah asked, his voice filled with sincerity.

I hesitated for a moment, unsure of what he was about to reveal. But something in his eyes reassured me, and I nodded slowly.

"Alpha Henrick needs someone like you in his life," he finally confessed. "Someone who can see beyond his pain and help him heal."

My heart skipped a beat as his words sank in. Was he suggesting that I could be that person? The one who could bring light back into the Alpha's life?

"I don't know if I'm capable of that," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper.

Elijah reached out and gently took my hand, his touch warm and comforting. "You have a strength within you that you may not even realize. And I believe that together, we can help him find peace."

His words resonated deep within me, stirring a newfound determination. Maybe, just maybe, I could make a difference in the Alpha's life. Maybe I could help him let go of the past and embrace a brighter future.

With a renewed sense of purpose, I looked into Elijah's eyes and smiled. "Let's do it. Let's help him find his happiness again."

And in that moment, I knew that our journey was just beginning. Together, we would navigate the complexities of the Alpha's heart and bring about a change that would not only heal him but also bring hope to all those who had lost faith.

As we embarked on this mission, I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. The path ahead would be challenging, but with Elijah by my side, I knew we could overcome any obstacle.

And so, with determination in our hearts, we set off on a journey that would forever alter the course of our lives. Little did we know that in helping the Alpha find his happiness, we would also discover our own along the way.

His plea for assistance caught me off guard, leaving me both bewildered and intrigued. What was the nature of his request? In what way could I possibly lend a hand?
