The multi-billionaire

After being treated to a sumptuous and pampered dinner, Davis slept in the comfiest room of his life—a regal chamber with gold patterns, a huge bed draped in silk, and a cozy sitting area.

It was all good for him until he started to hear some noises which sent the sleep sprinting away from his eyes.

It was perhaps, the paranoia of the unsure about the nature of this deal that rendered him alert and half asleep.

However, his fear and apprehension deteriorated when he saw the figure ahead. It was the figure of a woman whom he could already guess who she was despite the dimly lit room.

“Davis.” Came the soft call and he sat up Instantaneously.

He called back, “Seraphina,” He said, wondering why he didn't have nightmares about that heart-shattering moment when he caught another man atop Madeline.

“It’s time to fulfill the fourth thing on my bucket list, Davis. You see, I have three months maximum to die. One, minimum.” She whispered, sliding into the bed beside him.

Perhaps, he was a horrible person, Davis wondered as all that ran across his mind at that moment was how quickly it’d be to have his revenge if she died a month later.

May the Lord pardon his villainous thoughts. However, the pain of the shame, and humiliation he’s had to endure for three years was too huge and blinding for him.

He wanted revenge like his throat cries for water.

“And what could that be, Seraphina?” He asked although he could already guess what it was.

Her hands went under the duvet and onto his bare skin, leaving him in wonder at how swiftly she had done that. “Have sex with you and then marry you the next day.” She said in the most seductive tone that Davis had ever heard.

Her touch was already delivering its effects on his body. “That's such a wild bucket list you have there, Seraphina.” He swallowed.

A faint giggle.

“It sure is.” She said.

She really was into business, Davis couldn't help but decide as her hands grabbed his manhood.

It had been a while since that grandpa felt a woman’s touch. Madeline had deprived him of sex for months now.

He thought it was because he was unable to buy her the car she always complained about since all her friends had one. He had not the slightest clue that it was because she was receiving it from someone else.

Giving the body that was supposed to be his to someone else.

Heck, he needed a distraction.

He turned to Seraphina, pulled down her nightgown shamelessly, and planted his lips on hers. Pouring all of the aggression of how much Madeline had made him suffer into her, he began to work his hand all over her body and gave foreplay a little less than enough time before he slid into her.

All the whole time, he kept on hearing all the words in her head. If she thought he wasn't doing it right, he would hear and adjust. If she felt like her head was going to explode with pleasure from whatever he was doing, he’d keep on doing it until she thought he was the sweetest man in the world.

Whatever this thing going on with him was, it was such an interesting one – allowing him to hear the thoughts of others.

That could become a great weapon when properly used. For now, he would focus on the pleasure he and Seraphina were serving one another.

She was really tight down there. Not a virgin but also not clearly experienced. Perhaps, she had a former lover who dumped her because of her sickness.

What man would want to be with a dying woman anyway?

A man who genuinely loved her and a man like himself.

[Five Months Later]

Three weeks ago, Seraphina died. She had lived longer than the prognosis – all thanks to all the fulfilling times they spent together. He had developed a fondness for her and within the short period they spent together, he had the most fun and best days of his life despite the limited time phase.

She really was a soul that would continue to live on in the hearts of those close to her. Her personality was a great contrast to Madeline’s bitchy one.

Now, he’d had his share of her assets as promised, making him a freaking rich billionaire. The transition in his life from grass to grace was too much of a fairytale to be believed.

True, he had it rough with those workers trying to get rid of him and get their hands on the documents of Seraphina’s assets but his newly found ability was there in handy.

He would hear their thoughts by touching them with his left palm and get rid of them all before they could execute their plans.

The remaining 40% of Seraphina’s wealth went to an orphanage – it was her last wish.

He would miss her.

They did have their contract marriage which had been terminated the moment she was declared dead. Still funny to him to mention that Seraphina was dead.

However, he had been humiliated and suffered too much to drool over his affection for a dead woman.

Right now, he had bought the houses opposite Madeline family’s after paying off the owners a befitting amount of money.

He didn't just buy one, he bought the three houses in a row and had them demolished.

Money proved to be indeed a very powerful weapon and necessity because he was able to finish the construction of the house within a month.

It was a modern mansion that most definitely stood out amongst the other houses in the area. He knew the whole neighborhood would be on the lookout for the rich man who bought three houses in the street, demolished renovated them.

He couldn't wait until they all found out and got the shock of their lives. He was the good-for-nothing who was back with so much force and agility, ready to take down and humiliate those who belittled him in the past.

Seraphina would forever remain in his heart even though he could not afford the luxury of missing her just yet.

She planned with him, wanting to make sure he got his revenge.

“You are helping me fulfill my goals, Davis. It's my duty to see to yours.” She once said to him with her lovely voice.

Wherever she was, he hoped she was in a better place. It was hard to watch her health depreciate so much and she turned into a ghost of her former self before her death.

She really needed the escape. He was glad she died.
